I wrote a college business essay about how GoodGood is changing the world of golf and digital marketing through RUclips. Cool to see you guys cover them as they really are one of the most interesting things going on in the space right now.

      @user-lf3hy7wl3t 2 дня назад +4

So give us an example of how he changed the world of golf? The only example I ever see given is the uptick in golfers... Somehow Garrett Clark has been credited with this and not the fact that it was the only sport anyone was allowed to play for over a year during Covid 🤣

I'm classed as a senior, and have followed Garret from his very early GM golf days, with his cousin and friends helping him make content. The crossover from GM golf to Good Good, was a natural platform to build upon, and is why Good Good grew so quickly. GM golf, would likely have passed 1 million earlier than it did, currently 1.24 million, very much deserved, based on his passion for providing content for each of his subs.
Garret, has never lost his positiveness and appreciation for those who make him wealthier, as a direct result of them following and staying loyal to him. Garret has a natural flair for making good content, which people of all ages appreciate, I am proof of that. The mix of personalities is what makes Good Good and GM before it, a natural fit for those who subscribe to them.

You guys nailed it on the head. Their success is from the group dynamic. I’ve been watching good good for about three years now and I just love the personalities and goofy challenges. I love golf but for me that’s a secondary benefit to the entertainment they bring.

Garrett and good good are true pioneers and paved the way for the golf RUclips space. We’re all blessed to have them, especially Garrett, he’s done an incredible thing being the leader of this whole category of content.
Everything from the group chemistry, to the shot tracers, to the cart cam stuff, the editing, the long content, the trips, the random golf formats, etc. I’ve started watching golf girl games recently and they basically use all of these stylistic elements and then they add in crazy challenges for the losers of each episode, and it’s basically been incredible content since they locked in their core group.
Thinking aloud…I wonder how much Garrett has to do behind GGG, as an advisor, mentor or even silent partner…it was basically started right after Sabrina and Cailyn showed up on his GMGolf channel…

I’ve been a massive supporter of Good Good for three years, I’ve seen a lot of interviews with Good Good where the people conducting the interview don’t come in with their own research. It showed in this episode how much Garrett, Max, and Colin respected you both for doing your research beforehand by asking thoughtful questions they hadn’t been asked before. Overall, great questions and insights into where it is today and the future of their massive brand.

One day back I don’t even know how long ago this dude GM Golf pops up in my recommended and he was at the driving range with his girlfriend and I was like huh okay interesting. Watched a few of his videos and watched him and his friend play a golf hole that was like a mile long. Thought it was pretty awesome. Continued watching as he started to grow and have matches with other golfers that soon came to be like characters on a show. Then one day he announced he was starting a golf brand and RUclips channel “good good” and I thought to myself well that’s stupid, he’s going to ruin his own channel and no one is going to watch this. BOY WAS I WRONG. It’s been awesome watching these dudes and glad they are getting the spotlight they deserve.

I’m about halfway through this interview, and they are talking about how to stay innovative with everyone trying to do the same thing. As someone who is trying to break 90 from the senior tees, for me, the reason that Good Good stands out is the personalities. Each one of the gentlemen, Garrett, Steve, Matt, Bubbie, Brad and the other golfers who rotate through for a year or so, have incredible personalities that feed off each other. I’ve been watching them since 2020, discovered them when I couldn’t leave the house because of COVID, and now I feel, in a way, I really know them because they really connect to each other and are their true selves.

As a big fan of Colin and Samir, and an OG GM Golf viewer who has been around since way before BroFive, this was a very well spent hour. Good selection of guys as well, G-Rat is obviously the key figure, but Colin and Max are so important for the vibe, for the "Good Good Universe" created way back. Also interesting that Bryan Bros is mentioned a few times, since George was in the first few Good Good videos. Keep up the good work!

I applaud Garrett for pioneering the vision for both GG and GM golf, as well as Colin and Max’s creative vision for production in a space that was largely untapped. That said, GoodGood went from creating relatable content to now also having to market themselves as a professional product exponentially fast. Sadly, I never felt that the quality of golf improved at the same rate and it got rather annoying watching some of the core guys continue to hack it around really exclusive courses. I don’t gravitate to their videos anymore but I do respect the impact they’ve had on growing the golf community as a result.

What wasn't pointed out here is this: GoodGood is successful as a genre, in this voyueristic, multi-media, visual age simply for the fact that so many people came to the realization that the whole animus of "Reality TV" was a complete scam because reality TV was not "real". My brother, worked in the film industry for 2 decades, would show me shooting scripts of reality shows. I wasn't surprised to see that they were directed, and scripted right down to an eye-roll. Garret, rolling out of bed at 5 AM and looking pretty rough, disheveled and flighty (as we ALL ARE at 5AM) is what most people relate to. It's AUTHENTIC, that's why, even myself, a 60 year old golfer (who had once had dreams of turning pro) continue to watch and enjoy the 6 -10 minute intros that have no golf content at all. It's real people doing real things. It's what Reality TV never was: HONEST.
Here's the other thing: which I'm not sure anyone else has articulated about the zetigeist of RUclips content and its creators.People love process and biography. By that I mean, I for one am far more attracted to a story of a persons personal path through life, and the choices that led them there, than say, the story of someone who my be exceptional at what they do, but was handed evrything on a silver platter. That's why I too could spend an hour watching Bubbie's personal testimony about his life's path. Most of us are interested in each others process but nine times out of ten we're too afraid or reluctant to ask a person about it. Even in generic GoodGood content, out on the course, you're typically learning something about one of the group members, or they'll relate a story about their process/ path and it might resonate. In my book, communication beats sensationalism every day of the week, and it's always going to be more lucrative.
And a big shout out to Colin and Max too for their unbelievable editing prowess. These gents are burning some serious midnight oil and I am just amazed at not only how quickly they can turn out the content, but the level of quality they contain is impressive. (PS: NBC/ Peacock's production for those livestream golf events sometimes pales in comparison to Colin and Max's production quality). GoodGood needs its own "Frank Chircanian" (look it up), and that would solve the continuity issue y'all have with the live events. I enjoyed the live events but honestly, they were kind of all over the place.
Great interview Colin and Samir. Some really good questions. Enjoyed it and you have a new subscriber. 😁

I think part of the reason they have their fan base and people will watch for two hours, is that they include the blogging aspect into their videos, and it’s not just them on the course the entire time. It’s more compelling and the depth it adds to it. I typically watch every video the entire length. There’s others that I watch and do enjoy, put may post a 20 min video and I’ll skip half of it. I don’t think I’ve ever ffwd one of their uploads. Same for Grants stuff, bob does sports, and Bryan bros. No disrespect to the others, cause I do watch plenty of them, but the more straight forward video formats, just bore me, even if it’s only a 15-20 min video. They just seem to lack depth

The pandemic and proliferation of golf was the perfect recipe to set GoodGood on this path. I’m not so much into the personalities as I was watching Garrett, Micah and Grant specifically play on that channel.
The space has really grown and I’ve moved on to other creators, but the path/template GoodGood has set is definitely apparent with other creators’ channels and videos.
Wish those guys all the success they’ve earned and have coming their way.

The PGA Tour has a younger audience, with the highest interest among Americans aged 25-34. However, the PGA Tour still has a presence among older demographics. Here's some related information about the PGA Tour's audience:
    Interest by age
19% of PGA Tour enthusiasts are aged 25-34, followed by 17% for each of the 18-24 and 35-44 age groups. Interest decreases among the 45-54 age group, at 11%

I have never heard of 'Brofive'. I honestly only started watching GOOD GOOD after seeing Matt's first par 4 hole-in-one. I immediately went back to the first video and watched everything. Total fan since. 👍
