My mic broke, the famous blue yeti mic. Bit of a bummer, so I had to make do with a more ghetto mic setup. Hope you guys are doing okay!
Two years later and i think it would be really nice to revisit Nomad, maybe make a new video. They’ve been adding new tools, improving existing tools and overall making things more intuitive and responsive.
Very helpful to get a quick overview of the features, picked it up last night and I’m really enjoying using it and learning all the ins and outs!
Thank you - I distrust apps that tell you there's a price after you download, but won't tell you what that price is, so I mostly came to hear a price, but, instead, I found that the rest of the review was very valuable!

Its possible to create semi transparent or transparent material... Just reduce the mesh opacity in the render tab..
Good call! Under the shading tab at the bottom there's indeed a mesh material opacity option.

i’ve seen people on yt sculpt, and i found this vid about the app. do u think that the app is good for beginners or people who is just discovering/trying sculpting?
I think it is. There's no too much to get overwhelmed with options, it's easy to pick up, and it doesn't cost a fortune so it's worth a try.

Would you recommend this for someone who's new to 3D? Can stuff done with this app be imported to Zbrush or Maya?
If you're comfortable on a mobile device, definitely. You can export your models to an obj file, that's almost universal at this point. So you can export to pretty much everything.
Love that red material, is that a default material?

Totally will give this a try, dose this have skin brush like zbrush or is it more basic like zbrush core?
It's in between Zbrush and ZbrushCore. You can import alphas, but the base brushes are closer to ZbrushCore.

Whats the other app you're referencing? Procreate? Isn't that just a Photoshop app?
It is, but it's in many ways better. So I wish there was a 3d equivalent to zbrush, that is as good as procreate compared to photoshop.
im trying to learn Nomad sculpt because no way in hell i can afford $40/m for Zbrush. As much as i love Blender i feel like sculpting is not a strong point. Its decent and thats about it but its great for rendering and FX or added detail like fur ect. but sculpting... eh.
I'm still on my old license, I'm not getting the subscription. If you combine nomad and blender you can get great results.

Can we use the model which is created in nomad for vr chat
It's possible, with a little work of course. You can export it to an obj file that you can rework to export to vr chat. So no you can't export from nomad to vr chat directly, but you could model something and rework it to make it work in vr chat.

Not sure if anyone asked, but can the files be exported so that they can be rigged?
They can be exported. It's not going to be a very clean topology since it's mostly voxel remeshing, so I'm not sure I'd use it for rigging.

Na forger better but do use both and zbrush
Forger is pretty good as well, but it came out a while back so was less relevant for a video.

Sorry to say it, but it s a bad tutorial...I wanted to see how ypu made the character, and explain the steps you made, rather than sculpting in the little window,.do.whatever and show some features.of the program, that are not relevant to the thing you re working...
It's a review of the app itself, it's the title of the video, it was never meant to be a tutorial, so yeah as for as tutorials it's pretty bad. RUclips is a visual medium so I made a sculpt in the background of the app being used, but it's just to have something to look at while I review the app. I made three other videos on nomad sculpt that are tutorials, that are focused on the steps to make something with the app.
