Jesse is the best of equestrians. He doesn't need harsh bits, or tie downs, and his horse does a lovely flex without hyperflexion and suffering. He is simply a joy to watch!
Matt, people that recognize you but hang back are simply hesitant to enter your space unbidden. You have done nothing wrong. They are just not comfortable to intrude.

Antaros performed beautifully for you Jesse! Poor Gaio - he did so well also - but I could feel his PTSD. He never knew if a gate would open & a crazy Bull 🦬 would pop in. Still - he did his best for you. Gaio's a gorgeous boy. 🥰🐴♥️

Really enjoy your videos, they are always so interesting and enjoyable. Matt, thank you for sharing about your feelings of anxiety. I’ve never thought about what it must be like to have people recognize and know about you because of your public personality and work. It gave me anxiety thinking about being on the receiving end of a situation like that, yup I’d be terrified. I’ve never approached a celebrity/public figure if I recognize them in public because I want to respect their space and allow them to have the room to just be a person. I may smile at them in passing or give a nod of respect towards them as a gesture of saying thank you. I so enjoy watching you with your horses. I swear you bond with them with your entire soul. It’s just so beautiful to watch and see. Thank you so much for sharing, showing, entertaining and educating me in your life and your relationship with your horses. ❤❤

You and Jesse are are celebrities locally,which can intimidate people.
I found this when I rescued ferrets,and our shelter had a booth at shows where we sold items to benefit the ferret shelter,you had people that would come up,toss things about,questions interrogate you about the items,the price of the items and what the money was spent on,generally just being rude.
Then there were those who hung back,not certain about what to do,intimidated by the atmosphere.
I would always give a wave and a shout out to these individuals.
Many times once you invite them to come over,they open up and become great supporters and very gracious fans.
As for the rude children,it happens here in the States also,if they come up to you and start grabbing items don't be afraid to tell them hands off,the items do not belong to them and their parents need to reach more manners.
You and Jesse are doing a fabulous job,you are raising awareness on how properly treated horses can become wonderful companions.
I completely understand how you feel. Still, kudos to you for making the effort to still go to the event.
I have to spend days preparing for events, replaying every scenario in my head. Always exhausting. Glad when it's done 😶🌫

It's so hard for celebrities to be in public now. When I grew up you were taught about personnel space with everyone. There were no cameras in your hand 24/7 so it allowed celebrities to be a little more relaxed and a little less stressed in public.
Always love your videos. Nice to see the horse show and Jesse perform. It was also nice for you to come out of anxiety issues with us. But of course you are famous and that can bring it out. Anyway thank you for sharing. Love you guys❤

I can completely understand where you're coming from. If i had any social media presence, or just anything like that... not sure i'd want to even go to public events. I have massive anxiety, fear of crowds, fear of people overally... and I can't deal with kids as well. People have to respect that you aren't comfortable with certain things so it's good you speak about it. Maybe someone will watch and try to tone done for next time. ^^ And language barrier is understandable as well.
Off this topic, so glad to see Gaio learning new things and having fun (he seemed to be very playful during show). Especially from the perspective of his background. He is such a sweetheart and deserves great life.
Thanks for sharing! I also have social anxiety so I understand fully. I am a teacher so I also understand about the pushy moms.
Social anxiety can also be as a consequence of previous trauma.
Sharing about your difficulty helps everyone else who suffers from similar challenges.
By the way, I watch you and Jesse on RUclips most days as it is very calming and therapeutic for me.

Great day. Matt, my son is a pro Ballet Dancer who also has social anxiety. Some times he just wants to be left alone, he is not into his profession for the limelight, which seems an odd thing to say, people have often said, he must love the attention, couldn't be further from the truth. He is into many creative hobbies, and hobbies that are so far away from dance, no one would ever know what he does. Most people are great, but you are spot on about the, in his case, Dance mothers, frightful! for the most part, kids adore from a far. He loves to teach dance, and that's where he has wonderful interaction with students, parent free! they are never allowed to be in the classroom. At 26 and being in the dance world since 7, it's stressful to always being watched.

Anxiety I was told is the spice of life. At times I would like life to be less spicy. Spent my working life in public events none is similar to the other one, and in the bunch there are a few that are totally nasty or totally hysterical. We have no control except on ourselves. LOve your vlogs so analytical and well delivered Jesse's impromptus asides are hysterical. Your loveof horses trancend everything. At times I think horses are a blend of dogs and cats' characters.

Social Anxiety: You are too judgemental about yourself, so DO NOT worry about strangers or anyone else judging you (unless competing, of course). They are all in their own little bubble with their own little concerns.
You are sweet, and like a sweet horse, the humans around you will all like you, even if your mane is goofy from the wind, or whatever.
As for crowds, being a sensitive empath, put a protective mental bubble around you of a lovely color, and do not let any negative energy through it.
