    Great video. Thank you. That is a huge softbox. Curious if a large sheet of translum would work. Space is my issue in my studio.
    Hopefully nothing was damaged in the fall.
    Cheers ☕️

      Yes, super big and heavy! Yes, can't see why that wouldn't work. Great tip!

      Not sure I understand what your question is. You want a video around how I connect the big screen when I tether shooting?

    I'm trying to remember the correct term for this kind of wrap around edge light... dark field illumination ... maybe? It is a great technique for glassware, beverage bottles, etc.

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, why not Terry. This light should be used more, very effective.

    Very nice - I did something similar using an animated video background of poweder expoding in slow mo - but this is a bice clean approach exploring AI backgrounds - do you cut the shoes out with pen tool mostly?

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  11 месяцев назад +1

      Aah that's a very cool idea. Using a monitor instead of the black card right?
      Yes, 100% pen tool. It takes a while but it's always the best result I think.

    Nice and simple, just the way I like it 😁! Another way for people to get around not having a large enough softbox would be to put up a large scrim with a softbox or even a couple of strip boxes behind it. It should give a similar result.

    Very cool! I wouldn't have initially thought to light them like this, why does it work so well? I'm guessing large light source in relation to the subjects wrapping around the flag, but why does it work so well when the subjects are also so close to the flag? (I also wanted to try this special emoji I roast coffee as a hobby :) )

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  11 месяцев назад +1

      I think you are the first trying that emoji, I put in a lot of work designing those 😁 thanks!
      I think it's important to write "wrapping", cuz light can't really wrap, always goes straight. Imagine you're an ant and you're walking around on the shoe looking at the light, all the light you can see will be hitting the shoe, if you start walking into a dark area and the light (softbox) disappears you will have the great gradients. Does that make sense? 🤣

    I’m assuming that the light is bouncing in the room and illuminating the shoes. I’m going to try this in CG.

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, that is also a parameter. I would love to see that CG.

      I just cut the shoes out with the pen tool and added the Midjourney background behind. Added some spatter brushes.
