I can totally relate. I really don't enjoy making shirts but once you get into it, the money comes. Vinyl is not dead. I still use it because of most of my customers like glitter.

Vinyl isn’t dead, but it definitely isn’t the first choice for a lot of people now since DTF came around.

Vinyl is not dead. It’s my side hustle. The money I get goes to my yearly vacation to where I do not touch my money. I hear some of his arguments when it comes to 1 custom shirt….but, $20 for one on a consistent basis adds up…multiple colors customer is going to pay for it.

Love this review! You made a lot of great points. I laughed when he said “screen printing is easier” ha ha - I don’t offer screen printing (yet) but I know it’s not easy and it’s definitely an expensive venture. Vinyl definitely isn’t dead- when you can’t get transfers, Vinyl is always available even if you gotta pay retail price. And I agree the skills you learn using a vinyl cutter and software can transfer to other mediums- even if it’s just setting up processes.

Hey, Stan. Great review. I was actually hoping to hear this guy say something very different, and then I hear the same stuff about making a few T-shirts is too expensive. Well, apparently not, since, as he discovered, there's a lot of work to it, and you ain't driving a Lamborghini just because you sold a one-off T-shirt for $25. Here's what I was hoping to hear: you make a bunch more money for less work when you sell your own design line. People pay $25 all day every day for a design that reaches them. Same goes for band T-shirts, brand T-shirts, stand-up comic T-shirts, and anyone else selling their own branded merch.
