I was enjoying this video :) you guys are so cool, thank you! Please, do more such videos. I must admit the creators of the game have managed to transfer the core mechanicks of the original video game with high precision but without overbloating like, for example, Lovecraft Arkham boardgame series has
Thanks for watching and glad you liked the video. We would love to play and record some more of Heroes 3 videos, we're already taking it into account in our content schedule over the summer.
Thank you so much. Yeah, we forgot all level up on neutral battles in the first two rounds. We point it out in the middle of the third round, and it would have saved us 2 combats due to the auto win for lower battles rule.
@@יחיאלאטיאס-כ7ח We're talking about making a 2-Player co-op video. We can do it on hard, would be interesting to see the difference, both in having to work together but also the ramp up in the amount of neutral units per battle.
One of our best qualities is just being plain human and not editing out or retake mistakes. We forget things and makes mistakes, just like when playing with our wider groups at the table 😅
At 36:56 - are you sure the magi can shoot the non-adjacent unit if the magi are surrounded (the griphons amd crusaders are right next to them). You could not shoot like this in the PC game, but I'm not sure about this in the board game...
Glad to hear you have waited for a clash video. We had a blast recording it, and also this i Bamses first playthrough and we spent only around 5 min going through the rules.
Great video! I would recommend that you try the PC game it's really fun. The best version of the game is to get horn of the abyss expansion. There is online multiplayer with simultanious turns, also there are 2k players online daily. Besides that campaings are really fun and there are great single scenarios since game features map editor and communitiy makes wonderful maps e.g the devil is in the details map
Thanks for watching, we have played the PC version in almost all its iterations, especially HoMM2 and HoMM3, both of them from they were original released. But thanks for reminding of us the fantastic games which are the original source material for this boardgame.
There is a lot of rules to keep track of, luckily the basic rules are pretty easy to learn. Also the community created rulebook is awesome, you should really give it a read. github.com/Heegu-sama/Homm3BG
It is a fatastic game, but it does take some time to setup and play. Luckily the setup time can be greatly reduced with some good custom inserts, and the playtime decreases as you get to remember the different effects on the board and the unit cards.
I've played this game three times now. I've read that damn rule book cover to cover at least twice! I have player aids all around me, and YET, i still miss something, or get stuck on some rule that stops play for an hour until i've researched it! I do like the game, but boy, it can be frustrating finding answers.
The official rulebook is really bad, even Archon Studio have admitted it. But the best way we have found is to keep playing, then you learn and remember the different locations, and also much of the upkeep in battle becomes second nature after 5-6 games.
39:09 not sure.. which page explains that he can attack any enemy? Somehow expected: "enemy units prioritize lower tier units if they cannot target units of the same tier"
When playing 2 or more players, the other player/players decide how to deploy and battle for neutral units. The rules you are referring is only for solo play and coop.
You didn't play correctly - Halberdiers do not work the way you played it and you completely forgot to gain exp. from fights :D Catherine should be lvl 3 1/2 at the end of round 3 Did you forget to take an ability card for 3rd level up? I believe you did (: Based on what did you decide to have a choice of the reward after taking the Crystal mine? It gives you one valuable - not a choice...
You're absolutely right about the Halberdiers, you need to declare and disard a card before the die is roilled. Yes we forgot EXP from fights in Round 1-2, we caught it in round 3 and forward. Thanks for watching and pointing out these corrections. 😃❤
@@DadsGamingDK There were other mistakes too - If a Shooter Unit is next to an enemy Unit, its attack target must be that adjacent enemy - in other words Shooters CAN'T shoot if engaged (;

Great job!
You've forgot to lvl up half a lvl on the two initial combats. Maybe it would have changed something.
Keep up the good work

You are very brave to post a video like that. There's always nowhere dudes that come up to point out mistakes to look superior 😂

that was epic ❤
Thanks, and thanks for watching.
i rly love this game. but it always takes alot of time. and one could play twilight imperium 4th with 5 ppl in the same time.

Holy moly, I just backed the second campaign and was sure it takes ages but to compare it with twilight imperium. That’s a bit of a shock.

@@xlnt2new You're absolutely right, the Zealots would have had to attack the harpies as they were adjacent. Thanks for pointing it out.
