I don't even play historic anymore it's too rigged and clearly forces you too lose when your doing to good all I play is historic brawl my deck can go 20 and 0 sometimes it's nasty
I %100 agree with your take on standard. The extra long rotation and insane power creep has turned it into historic light.
This deck needs The Book of Exalted Deeds and Muta Vault. That combo saves my ass all the time with the white life gain. I'd also use Authority of Consuls over Ajani's Welcome.

In several decks I absolutely use Emeria’s Call….. when it hits good it’s worth it

You should put Animation Module in this deck. Also Kabira Takedown. Tap land, sure, but also emergency spot removal.

Rule of thumb.
4 of = you want in your opening hand
3 of = you want to draw into it
2 of = you want to see it at once a game
1 of = you never want more than one in your hand
Heard that many many years ago and I always use it with deck building and it’s never let me down bro. I definitely wouldn’t want Heliod in my opening hand. I wouldn’t mind drawing into it. So 3. I only want to see ajani once a game… so 2 ajani… ajanis welcome isn’t great because cleric class acts as a heliod anyways and you get enough etb lifegain as it is 😂 that makes room for 4 bishops. 1 drops are OVERLOADED making the curve so awkward because it’s not mono red burn

You have way too many Heliods in that deck. The cleric class pretty much does the job of heliod. You should replace them with Bishops

@@ispudy sure. It’ll have to wait until I get home because I put my computer away. I will share the deck list of the mono white lifegain that I usually play in historic.
It does really well against other teacher-based decks, and especially the aggro ones. It’s relatively weak against blue white control, but then that’s most decks.
Also, for what is worth, I’ve been playing magic since 1998, and I generally get to mythical within the first one or two days if I try . After I get Pranked in the top 50 or so, I just trolled my way to the percentage mythic players because I don’t care after that. I don’t take Arena seriously because it’s not really magic.

@@ispudy Sorry about the Delay. But here it is. It has 65 cards, so it's a little unconventional, but I don't have problems with it. The main difference between it and most lifegain decks that I have seen is that it has some interaction. Particularly the one-cost Surge of salvation that gives you and all your permanents hex proof, and prevents damage to your creatures from red and black sources. Let me know if you have any other questions about it or Arena in general.
