- A drones eye view of Thomas Clayton's Spey - a Wooden boat built at Uxbridge with tanks to carry liquids. Here approaching Hunts Lock, Northwich. The reverse on the Bolinder was playing up, so we had to strap the boat in (i.e. stop the boat with ropes).
With the drone work, and the editing on this video, very well done!
Narrowboat and drone, heaven.
Lovely film, the quality and sound is so good, well done.
Fabulous footage Mike and the sound track is the icing on the cake !!! Marvelous.

Hi My father worked for Thomas Clayton on the Gasoil dumb barge TRENT out of Brentford when i was a kid I used to go with him down the Thames to Purfleet behind a steam tug back up river to Chertsey ,Windsor or up the G U to alperton or southhall gas works behind the Horse all over the place. ahh well all gone now.
Terrific good drone flying and a fab sound, Lister?
No Bolinder
"The reverse on the Bolinder was playing up"
Different aspect,,very good but for me a circuit around Spey would have made the difference.
John Carr have to be careful where I fly. Maybe another time in more open countryside.
mykaskin caches isn't just built up areas where you have to be careful, it's all about to change any how good work. All the same.
What is a tar boat?
ridemgis Claytons used to run a fleet of narrowboats carrying tar and oil mosly from Ellesmere Port to Birmingham. Coal tar was often carried in these boats.
