I found the part about common mistakes that the scribes made to be very interesting! It's crazy to think about the amount of people who labored to copy the Scripture by hand so that we can have the Bible that we have today. I suppose I never really thought about that, but I really enjoyed learning about it today. It makes me all the more thankful for my personal copy of the Holy Scriptures. The explanation about the different use of "error" (whether it's a theological term, or a text criticism term) was super helpful in my understanding. I think that is something that is very important to distinguish especially when people are asking about the inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible.
Great thing about Apologetics is, while we DO have to "study to show ourselves approved" and we do have to do things "decently and in order" (like God does), we don't have to be perfect or "experts" since we have Holy Spirit who is perfect...
Totally. We need not be omniscient or wait to discover definitive answers to every question about the text in order to live the Christian life. Keep the faith!
