Why do bikers lean their bikes when they make larger jumps? Example 4:38 the rider who is all the way in front. I dont know much about this sport, but I do think it is really cool to watch.

Some of us call that "hucking a jump". You're simply throwing all of your body weight forward using momentum in order to clear jumps easier. Tilting the bike is simply the result of extending your arms in order to keep your bike lower to the ground and in a straighter line. Hopefully that clears some of this up. I race 19-27 Expert so I'm not a total gooner :-)

+TwoWheelsProductions how does it keep the bike straight? I imagine that if you are curving your bike like that, as soon as you hit the ground you would swerve off o to the side or even just fall over. I'm sorry if I sound like a mouth. Really not trying to.

TwoWheels Productions you keep your front tire straight. which ever way your front tire points is the way you go. same as a dirtbike you see them gent all bent outta shape an land sideways. but they still ride out of it. why watch the front tire. its pointed straight. same thing as a dirtbike. but less weight

The asphalt is the only thing that can hold the speed at which they are turning.
