I wanted to see you review Auric mostly because it just seems SO up your alley. It absolutely tickles me that the shades are all named after stones and minerals. And I adore her for naming the shadows after traits people have told her are negative. She absolutely made sure this thing was HERS.
I'm super excited for the tubing mascara round up! I have been using the Em Cosmetics Pick Me Up mascara and really enjoying it.
I loved this release! I purchased Morganite, which I wasn’t sure if it was going to be too cool toned...it wasn’t! It was perfect! I got Defiance in the eyeshadow. I was afraid that it would be too warm...it wasn’t. It was perfect. It is a slightly cool toned bronze, and the glitter topper is beautiful. You would look gorgeous in the defiance shade!!! So happy to have you back, Kackie!!! 💗

Hey kackie! I saw Lisa Eldridge use a skin tint recently that I'd never heard of called the "typology tinted serum" and it seemed up the alley of your channel! It's cruelty free, the ingredients are intriguing, it seems to be marketed kinda like the ilia ssst, and it's 25 bucks! I know you're kind of a skin tint connoisseur so I do figured I'd mention!
I loved the lighting and thought it even looked more high def than your old set-up!

They were not allowed to take the curtain rods. It's considered a permanent fixture of the house. What a-holes. Most people don't bother taking them anyways because when you move into a new home your window measurements may be different. Same happened to us when we bought our house. Took all the rods but left a giant wooden swing set and a brand new "garage fridge" and so I wasn't mad! 🤣....It's the best feeling moving into a new home. Hope you are all settled in! I am also in NJ 😊

I am thrilled that you will be doing a tubing mascara video. The lighting is so much better. You just seemed orange in everything. Thus light let us see your skin.
You don’t need to keep the black plastic thing in the eyeshadow, it is just to keep the cream from getting on the lid during shipping ☺️
Also I do understand why people are disappointed that the products aren’t 100% new ideas but I think it’s cool that she has taken two of her favourite products and has made them cruelty free, inclusive and in even more luxurious feeling packaging but at a lower price than the original products

I realized that the Temper shadow is a perfect shade dupe for the Hourglass scattered light in She really did just dupe her favorites, didn’t she?
Yes. For Ray. It's super dry though in Temper. I was really surprised. I mean, no to compare her to Pat McGrath, but compared to Pat McGrath's special shades, it is really dry and challenging to pickup. It was kind of odd. But I might try temper on a thinner base and put Ray on the Auric cream base.
@@courtneycullen6289 temper is actually closer to Smoke (smoke and ray are the same tone, just different depths) which makes sense as her favorite.
I am so happy your move went well! And I agree with you about Ego, on other people it looks to pull more pewter with a green undertone, but on my cool skin it’s very blue lol

Original? How is the world is a release going to be original with the trillions of options out in the makeup world? What I look for is suitability to my own style and skin type. These eyeshadows look great on you. I personally don’t do well with high metallic kinds of shadows, so I always appreciate something more restrained.

Good to have you back! lol The lighting is actually very good!! I love it! Also zooming in on your face helps us to see the product better. I was actually going to pass the auric "shinny goo" because I thought it was just too much for me, but seeing you using it as a skin tint, I really love it! I could totally see myself reaching for it daily!
I really love the glow lust. It hit the mark for a 40 ish skin that needs that extra glowy look that I didn’t know I needed! Thanks for this review.

I love my pyrite glow lust! The tone is just stunning if you have light-medium olive skin. I had the CT HFF on my wishlist for the longest time but when I saw Sam was releasing something similar, I went with hers instead. Im just a huge fan of hers and how she applies makeup. Im most interested in ego of all the smoke reflects. It seems the most different from anything I’ve seen or own.
just commenting to say that i'm so excited you moved to NJ and i hope you love it! i grew up in NJ (currently in PA) and I just think the state is the best, contrary to popular belief and obviously I am SUPER biased lol. hope your moving woes end soon! (:
I live in a brand new home in Australia and we have big windows in our closets. I love it. And I get moving being more difficult as kids get into school. We've done 4 international moves with kids in school and it's not easy.
I can relate to the meh feeling about the Temper topper. Ultimately I find these wear longer without creasing on my oily lids, and I LOVE it. I actually love temper more at the end of the day than when I first applied it. It’s like a “my-lids-but-better” situation. I might try to jazz it up with HG scattered light or Pat McGrath glitter/fancy shade on top for days when I want to feel the KAPOW of glitter! 😂

Out of the release Ego was the one that i was most excited about. Its a color that i had been wanting and looking for for years. I think its hard to find a color thats not too charcoal or not too silver. This is really nice and i have been wearing it quite a lot!!

Of course you post this brand the same day I do XD I can't compete with the queen! I agree with the Temper topper, the Defiance shade is much more impactful as well.

The fall of my senior year of college, I was doing an internship in DC. I called home one night and my mom said, guess what! We sold the house, we'll be moved before you come home. They had contacted a realtor just to see what it was worth and the realtor had a family that she knew would love it. The house was sold in 4 hours (early 90s). We ended up literally moving around the corner into my grandparents house, because at that time my grandfather had passed and my grandmother was in a nursing home. Our old house was huge and my grandparents was a ranch that was still fully furnished.

I think you’re supposed to fix the glaring huge issues that come up at the inspection, too, but the previous owner played by their own rules 😐

I feel like not many people know but the OG tubing mascara is the Trish Mcavoy Tubular mascaras and they really are fantastic in my opinion

I just don’t understand why Sam decided to punish her international customers with tax, duties and high international shipping fees (25$ shipping to the U.K. without taxes and duties!). She was always complaining about facing high fees since she’s based in Canada and brands were shipping from the US and now she just did the same...I mean there are so many brands on the market and quite frankly she duped two very widely available products so I don’t mind not getting these. One glow lust and an easily dupable shadow will set you back 200$ if you live in Europe - you want something amazing for that price tag.
she's spoken about this a bunch in ig comments!! it's mostly because they can't afford to do anything other than what they're doing now.
Highly recommend checking out her videos! She also addressed a lot of issues in her recent live but unfortunately those don’t get published.
@@averysandoval541 I saw that video but I’m sorry I don’t think it’s good enough. Loads of small brands chose a European distributor (e.g Vieve, Ritual de Fille, 19/99, Vintner’s Daughter etc) and they are also luxe brands. I just think she didn’t try hard enough. I understand she can’t go to Sephora because it would eat up the profits but there are other options too.
How does the glow dust compare to the becca zero ? Are they a similar purpose

Wow. In VT, if it’s attached to the wall (like a curtain rod) you cannot remove it and take it with you. You can take the curtains but not the rods. How nice they left you with all those holes in the wall?

Thanks for the thorough review! If you’re doing a full tube mascaras review video, there’s this Australian company Mirenesse that makes a tube mascara called Lashwhip that does wonders for my lower lash line. I’d love to see your thoughts on it!

Do you have any recommendations for something like the Glow Lust on a lower price point? I would love something that gives that look, but $40 some dollars is out of my price range.
Maybe the L’Oréal Lumi Glotion? I really like it, although I haven’t tried the Auric to compare. Check out @beautyproductsaremycardio on IG, she has great swatches in her highlights.
No7 Skin Illuminator. One of those hidden gems on the bottom shelf at Walgreens. Not many shades, but blends in basically any skin tone.

Tell us how you went about buying a house in NJ while living in TX during the pandemic. That had to be....interesting. Relocators would enjoy your lessons learned.
Her husband’s parents live in the area, so they did all the in-person stuff. Kackie actually hadn’t seen the house in-person until they moved into it. She talks all about it in her latest empties video. :)

I am so freaking bummed! My skin had a horrible reaction to the glow lust. It took days for the redness and bumps to disappear. I can’t figure out which ingredient is causing it!

I would love to know how Glow Lust, used just as a highlighter, compares to the Daniel Sandler highlighter. I don’t think I would ever use a product like that all over my face, and what has kept me from buying the DS one is it isn’t available on its own. I adore cream blushes, but I never reach for liquid blush. I don’t want to buy the set when I know I will only use one product.
yeah that makes sense. they're VERY different. the glow lust is, to me, a complexion product first, and a highlighter if you want something really subtle. the DS is sooooo thin and watery, and it packs a serious highlight-y punch! but i agree, he should totally sell it on its own!

I do find the eyeshadow pots a copy of the Tom Ford cream/shadow pots just cheaper. Also from the description on the website it seemed to me a bit like the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter. I wonder how they compare.
Also when I google auric cosmetics or auric makeup in the U.K. I get directed to an Indian company called auric cosmetics.
I can’t say I’m super excited by these releases. Basically I’m watching it because it’s you and I like how you talk about makeup.

I am not convinced that skin tints are good for my pinky skin tone as I need more coverage. I don't think Auric will survive because it takes every one too long to explain the benefits. As a "complexion product" as you rightly said there are too many other products like it and it is a fair criticism. Even the eye shadows, while nice, are not as well established as Tom Ford or Charlotte Tilbury who already have customers that love their brands.

That is a huge move! I am from Canada and spent some time with family in Tennessee and it was a lot of adjustment for me. Not having winter was wired. I am a four seasons type.
P.S. was waiting for your take on this because you are Clean beauty focused. Alot of other reviews are not. Also you appreciate products that use plastic free packaging. Love it.

Amazon sent me a substitution of the perfume orange juice for celery juice and then a cheese and grape snack box for my wife's tapioca. And like 4 more of those random substitutions and I went into full mecury retrograde Karen mode by the end of it. This week I'm just putting do not substitute on everything.
