Can’t help but notice it your sons shirt… super small world I random found yal in here. I live in Lebanon but my family has land in Scott’s hill my grandmother was a Rushing. Small world. I’m now subscribed to yal. Can’t wait to see more progress
Looks like an interesting project Big John and Im looking forward to watching this evolve. I like the fact your sons are getting involved with this project and your showing them that creative thinking can lead to new solutions. Im sure you were expecting some smart a** comment from me but not this time. No I lied. Can't. Help. It. Your working on a FoMoCo not a GMC so use a hammer out of respect. And its good to see you get your little princess hands dirty with grease and not gravy.
I have some junk cabs that was destined for the scrapyard so we thought we would try this. I think bumpside cabs taper front to rear some and that’s why the real crewcabs were not full size rear doors. If this works well, I will do a Dentside one also.
i have to ask y not just buy a 4 door ford i think there is like 3 sitting by my place one has a Perkins diesel factory setup they my not be big on power but they will run forever way better then a new diesel. i am a chevy guy but u just can't beat a high boy and i just love the 67 to 72 trucks have a lot of them sitting just chevy is cheap to build parts are a big different like a dash pad for my 68 chevy 54 bucks for my high boy 350 bucks i rebuilt my dash with full factory gauges for my 68 chevy new glove box, bezel and lens new tack new fuel gauge new vacuum gauge new vent tube with chrome vets for defrost new cables for heater box all for 250 bucks and it looks better then it did new. but i been working on the high boy on the side it is going to be a beast
Sounds like a lot of different stuff going on like us. The idea was having spare parts lying around, why not try to make our own crewcab with the cost of them these days. I did own a 69 f350 crewcab which is pictured in part 1 of this series. I was not happy with the leg room in the rear seat. They were probably closer to a modern extended cab as far as rear seat space. I really love the camper truck in this video. It’s a 68 with a 85 f250 turbo diesel and zf5 manual trans. It’s super reliable and makes a great truck all around.
@@HalfMoonCustoms The pronunciation ain't the problem. Noting wrong with'em teaching his son how to plamas cut. It's him knowing that there was old 22 bullets he took out and thinks that there could be more and allowing his 14 year old son plasma cut that area of the vehicle. Y'all are adults and y'all should be thinking like adults in this situation and thinking about your kids safety. But anyways enough with the pronunciation & safety policing. Looking forward to the finish product.
Some Mighty fine Crocs you got there. 🐊🐊

It is a small world. Appreciate the subscribe.
Cool truck
I bought one of those little amazon plasma cutters 5 years ago. Still works great. Can't wait to see where this project goes.
Yeah for the money you can’t beat them.

Hahaha
Following you guys. I’ve considered just making an extended cab just for additional storage purposes.
I have a super cab I like driving it better because of room you have.
I have a 53 that I don’t fit in very well at all. My son’s CV swapped 66 is a lot better. We used the CV floor and gained a good bit of leg room.
TN FTW! I live near Memphis.
Nice we’re about 2hrs west of there.

It also. Just need to quit work and do shop stuff full time lol
Lol that would be the dream😁.
If this goes well I would like to try it with a dentside

@@HalfMoonCustoms that would be great to see, and seeing the prices of the crewcabs it’s probably cheaper to build one ourselves.
Built not brought
Cool down for a long while we can talk it about it came job is done by then and now the were going to do how much is a bit.

3:01 The old crew-cabs were designed for fit, healthy people. Not obese whales.
Blown apart not blowed apart. Please pronounce the words correctly. Yup lets teach your kids the wrong way to take thinks apart. Real responsible.
Which words weren't "pronouns" to your satisfaction? Stick around I'm sure we will "pronounce" some other words incorrectly.

@Gem not everything is captured on film. I blew the cowl out good and I didn't let him cut on the end, in case there was more down at that end.
