This was around when I first started playing the game, and was the first algs thing I watched, so I'm unaware of the complete lore behind this, but I think a really interesting thing about this is that Hal said Wattson messaged him like a little before this lan telling him not to play seer in scrims because the rest of the lobby would realize how broken seer is, and said they could run it and run the whole lobby down, Hal obliged and then this happened. I'm not sure how much that is actually legit, but the picture painted is that Wattson tried to keep this a secret knowing what this could do. It also is hilarious the cope the rest of the teams had that they claimed they would never 'play for second' then dropped their whole comp for this meta too.

Honestly these videos are so underrated. I've now watched all of your past content from the last 10 months in about a week, mainly because I work so I can't watch it consistently. I only have about 100 hours in Apex and I've learned so much more about rotations and composites and macros micro adjustments from these videos. The people I regular with say they seen a significant jump in my gameplay and could be a diamond level player. I honestly think I owe a little bit to your videos. You break things down excellently and also your voice is so commanding yey smooth to listen too. Haha. Please keep it up and do not stop with these videos! It's funny how this story happens in SO MANY different games. Speed runners find new techniques all the time from casuals who simply like playing a certain way. I'm the type of person who sticks with one character or weapon in a game, and learn how to make the absolute most out of it. Pokemon is a good example where back in 5th Gen, I personally found Hitmontop to be INCREDIBLY underrated, and capable of countering about half the meta while having a Close Combat, a priority Bullet Punch or Mach Punch, Rapid Spin, and Stone Edge or Earthquake combined with Intimidate was BRUTAL. I got mocked a lot for running it instead of Terrakion, but guess who had an 85% win rate on Showdown? Same goes for "Monster Hunter" and trying unconventional things, or simply focusing on "comfy" hunting instead of DPS.
Wall hack seer and shooting while lifting and sucking thru walls nade spam ult horizon is actually crazy to look back on and see just how fucking op that shit was
The seer meta always makes me laugh because i remember there being a small group of high level seer players trying to tell people how good the character was but all everyone cared about was bloodhound at the time for scans. Suddenly he shows up in the algs and dominated and the entire seer community was just sitting there already aware of the bs he could do. I still play the character and always have but season 11-13 seer were the glory days. Casually having walkhacks and bs stuns and noone even batting an eye
You did such a great job with this clip when you broke down how Caustic's gas would create visual distortion, and Seer could Ult and then be able to see everything clearly giving the team a slight advantage over the enemies who are blinded by the gas. Well done and the graphics and caption looked mint you did such a good job. Also I never understood why Gibby was so good back then, and the clip you showed of Hiswattson talking about him and then the bubble being impenetrable and able to res a teammate instantly was very informing also.

No other time in this games lifespan has seen this amount of diversity even if season 15 still had many weaker legend choices and op choices.
Had the privilege to attend the algs finals. My mom won 4 tickets in a raffle. At the time I knew close to nothing about apex legends but free tickets are free tickets. I went with 3 friends and I’ve never shouted more in my life. I remember just freaking out with every final circle battle, and it was so insane being there with everyone just cheering and screaming.

nah octane had a pretty short lifespan but a lot of people were all running him at the same time. No clue who started it but he caught on pretty quickly

Seer was never nerfed to the ground, people were just so used to seeing him be so freakin OP, that the nerds felt brutal. His Watson proved the seer is just still as good. I too picked up seer after two seasons since release and ngl he was solid. They have then reduced his range and in passive speed, but it didn’t do much harm. Not doing 10dmg and stun also didn’t hurt him much(but their existence just made it annoying for the player more than being a benefit for seer users). I kinda miss the post nerf seer, not too broken(but now in retrospect, people will say that he wasn’t nerfed enough blah blah). After they reworked his abilities to silence abilities instead of stopping heals, he just doesn’t feel the same anymore for me. Might be wrong like the first time I was, will prolly pick him up again when I play.
