Chocolate Lava Cake | The Perfect Chocolate Fondant Recipe

  • i n g r e d i e n t s :
    • 130 g dark chocolate
    • 120 g unsalted butter
    • 3 large eggs
    • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    • A pinch of salt
    • Vanilla ice cream to serve with
    Bake the cakes at 400ºF/200ºC for about 10-11 minutes.
    I used 4 (4oz) buttered ramekins to bake the cakes.
    g o o d t o k n o w :
    • I use 70% dark chocolate for this recipe.
    • The dough thickens as it cools - it is normal. I prefer baking when the dough is cooled, this way it is easier to pour the dough into the ramekins and the cakes are baked better without sinking in the center.
    • Please remember that the result of baking may be different depending on each oven. Make sure the cakes are firm on the outside and soft in the center before taking them out.

    1 cup = 240 ml
    1 tbsp = 15 ml
    1 tsp = 5 ml
