Bluebird is a grandmother as well as indigenous touchstone. My extremely white grandmother brought up seven children with no electricity, no gas, no running water and she baked bread every day of her life. Miss you, Grandmother.
There's a cute little Maori movie that my mother likes that came out about 20 years ago called "Whale Rider", there's a scene in there where she says it's pronounced something like 'moe-ree'. Speaking of 'indigenous' movies there's one from Guatemala called "Ixcanul" that came about 5 years ago that's almost entirely in one of the Mayan (Maya?) languages down there. Like a lot of non-English language movies there are some long scenes in it where not much is said so some might find it pretty boring. Just did a seach for 'Blue Bird Flour' too and apparently 'Navajo coffee' is a thing for you guys. Huh, lol.

As alway enjoyed. I really really enjoy native doing amazing things we all our reservations need to see it daily or to hear about it so that more possibilities will happen. I run into alot of people on my reservation with no hope of making money or making any type of income just because it is hard living out there NOTHING ..... Just an old broom thats been around for years ... I wish there was something for native people to do aside from just getting government help. Many are overlooked because of where they live or surival to the fittest , alot of our natives need some type of boost maybe a new broom. I personally would like to be involed in something as valuable as bring back our beautiful, smart, extraordinary, talented people no one really got to meet.😃 plenty of frybread love to my many natives families and tribes

The levity and light heartedness of our show is to just put some more positivity out there in the world for us Natives. Hopefully can motivate and inspire others to create and pursue their passion. I got to know ALL my mean bossy AUNTIE’s and other Native Women who became a blessed family member later on. I was only 4 years old and they would teach me traditional Songs during the quiet times.
