Wanted to thank you for posting this. I finished the job and no leaks and working great. Thanks
You are most welcome. I’m glad it turned out great. Also glad you saved a ton of money by not paying the dealer to do it. 👍🏼
Great video!! You detailed everything in the right way. Thank you sir!!
You are most welcome. Glad I could lend a hand.🤙🏼
Great got a leak on our merc's looks similar pipe so going to have a go thanks for the details
You are most welcome. Yep it seems to be a common issue with that plastic tube. I know you can do this. Just take your time and you got this! 🤙🏼
@5:00 sure enough I checked mine... exactly! Thank you for making this video!!! 🎉
You are most welcome. Glad I could help! 🤙🏼
...Perfectly done video, David. Great tutorial! You are very good at this! Thanks for your expert help...you saved me a ton of mony! Gratefully, Parker
You are most welcome. 🤙🏼
Excellent video my car has the same problem, ordered new part today , thanks for the help ……….
You are most welcome. Glad I could help. 🤙🏼
Oh wow, I had a similar issue with my 2019 C Class. The mercedes dealership told me “it’s totally common for my vehicle to lose some coolant” but i don’t think they realized the extent of my leak. Another specialty mercedes mechanic in town estimated a 1,200 gasket replacement. I wish I would have seen this before trading her in!
Dang. I hate I couldn’t have helped you. 🤙🏼
Questions:
1. When you take off the old top tube (air), the one with the factory band, how do I take it off? Never understood how you got the old band off?
2. I bought the special hose clamp tool but when i use it the tube gets pinched when the clamp is compressed and the old tube will not come out. Suggestions?
Appreciate you putting up with my questions
Removing the old tube I wound up breaking it and using plastic cutting pliers. I am sorry I didn’t get that on video. Don’t waste time fiddling with it, just break it into pieces to get it out. Makes like so much easier. Once you break it then you should be able to get the hose plies on that band easy.
Thank you sir..watching from Joburg.
Thank you for watching my channel. 👊🏼
Great video! Thank you!
You are most welcome. Glad I could help. 🤙🏼
thank you so much for your help!
You are most welcome. 👍🏼
Excellent video. I used your video to do this same repair. The only problem I'm having is the very front connection of the coolant tube where is slides in and the clamp clips down on it, mine is leaking there. My replacement pipe did not come with any o ring or anything there so I used the old one but I'm not sure if I got it in the correct place or not. Any advice?
Oh wow. Yeah you definitely need a new one-ring in there. The old one will leak for sure. I would order a new kit. They are fairly cheap. I wish I had better advice. Good luck bro.
@@LivinWith3Morder a new pipe kit? Or o ring kit?
@@LivinWith3Mdid the pipe kit you got come with a new o ring? Mine did not.
@TheDougJohnson I would just order a new pipe kit that has the oring with it. To remove any chance of things not fitting up.
@@LivinWith3Mgot it. Thanks.
I have a 2014 C250 with the confirmed leak thanks to your video, however i cannot find the available part on amazon. do you have any new link? also will the new tube also fail after a few years? Its unfortunate to see so many people have the same issue with this vehicle.. I wonder what other common problems your familiar with these having? Supeerb video My sir, thank you.
Hey. Thank you very much. Here is another link. amzn.to/3L7i7Bi
These new plastic tubes should never fail. Not sure why Mercedes is having an issue but you should be fine with the new piece here. I’m not familiar with any more common issues, but if any arise, I will be sure to make a fix-it video. Take care. 🤙🏼
Thanx a lot sir for the vedio!!am gona fix mine
You are most welcome. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. 👍🏼
Hi, excelent video , do you know how to go out the air in the coolant system?
Thank you, I honestly don’t know how to do that. I think they have to put a vac machine on it. I wish I were more help. Sorry.
You just saved a lot of 💰💰💰💰
Thank you so much. I sure hope this saves others too. 👍🏻
Is it the crossover pipe ?
Thank you sir, very helpfull
You are very welcome. 🤙🏼
Is the part number for the tube the same for 2016 C300s?
I just got through checking and I think the 2016 C300 has a different type tube. I’m sorry. I really wasn’t aware until right now either.
The part on Amazon is not available. I found a number of parts on Amazon that are a lot cheaper (under $30). But the part numbers are all over the place though they say compatible with C250. Are these other parts ok to use?
Here I got the correct part. Click here and order. amzn.to/3uhKp70
thanks!@@LivinWith3M
I have a 2015 C300 it is pouring out coolant out of nowhere. I’m trying to see if I can find that hose you’re speaking about but I don’t see it when I open the hood.
The leak is so bad that when I put new coolant into the reservoir, it just pours out from the bottom
Ok, when you open the hood. Look to the passenger side of the engine. Under the side of the plastic engine cover. You will see a metal or aluminum piece sort of flat. Look to see if coolant is puddling on it. If it is then the black tube is right above that metal pan. Rewatch my video and pause it to be sure it’s the same type leak. Let me know what you find out
@@grant242it also can be your water pump if not those hoses.
@@genarogranados3093 turned out to be the water pump. Got a replacement from parts geek
@@grant242 nice glad you found the problem. I have replaced those hoses also and then 2 weeks ago I replaced the water pump myself same problem.
Did notice your bolt on back side of brake reservoir is not screwed in completely
I appreciate that. I will go double check first thing tomorrow. 👊🏼
My c w203 gets the water from the cap but no raising temperature i have water leak sure but that say head gasket and testate but i think is a tube problem
I agree to start with the tube. It’s a lot cheaper than jumping to head gaskets. Just my opinion. 🤙🏼
I had the same problem, fixed it and ran fine for months. Now I have another leak and don’t know where it’s coming from and it doesn’t happen all the time so it makes it hard find. I’m thinking it’s the hardline idk.
Oh wow. I hate you’ve ran into another leak. If I experience it or get any idea of where yours is leaking I will try to help. 👍🏼
@@LivinWith3M thanks👍
I have a 2018 c300 and my motor doesn’t look like that. I took off the cover and it doesn’t have that part 😳
Oh wow. Thank you for letting me know. Hopefully that info will make things clearer for other subscribers. Mine is the 2014 c250 so maybe things changed at some point. Do you have a leak in that area of the engine?
Guys, mine had the same issue, I've fixed it, and was fine, but one month later (yesterday) It showed de massage again, but this time I can't figure out were is the leak.
Anyone has an idea of were it can be?
(Mine is a C200, 2013, with 150.000 Km)
I’m not sure, but if anyone has any ideas please chime in.
Thanks for the video. I will be making this repair with your guide. I have one question. The OEM coolant tube is exactly the same part as yours A2710105701 but the link in your description and one in the comments you link 2712002452. I have a 2014 C250 are your amazon links correct?
You are welcome. That link takes you to the correct one. That will fit your 2014. 🤙🏼
@@LivinWith3M I know what I will be doing this weekend. Thanks man!
@jamespatterson6463 Awesome! Remember if you have to break the old one into pieces getting it out then that’s cool. Don’t waste valuable time trying to avoid breaking it since it’s already broke. Haha. Ask me how I know. lol. You got this man! 🤙🏼
