I made a chart dlc that expands the roster by 2 rows on all 6 sides while filling in the 4 spaces with arrows and there are over 90 extra slots you could fit in, totaling up to 274 slots.
That’s if there isn’t a “page 2” to the roster for dlc characters😂.
Edit: recounted the slots. 164 base roster + 110 DLC characters. Again, who knows how it’s gonna look when they start revealing DLC.

i think with gt dlc it really depends on if they treat gt goku and ssj4 as separate characters. using the super hero dlc example with 5 characters you could do

Selling characters like Gohan(Beast) because it’s a good sales plan.
Obviously popular characters makes sense to be DLC.
And a better chance for what you say not popular characters has a better chance in getting in the base roster.
I just seen Basil, the character I wanted the most in the latest trailer and it got me excited to think he’ll actually be confirmed to be playable.
Super Hero Dlc is now official plus the game will be released on the 11th October 2024 and if you buy the Deluxe edition you can play the game 3 days early
OG Broly might be dlc. My favorite character so i'm hurt they seem to have left him out.

Personally, I can go either way with GT being in the base roster and a handful of movie characters or Super Hero in the base roster still with a handful of movie characters. Super Hero was released nearly two years ago and Sparking Zero was in development for around 5 years so alot of planning was done prior to Super Hero's release. Of course, development can change and covid probably impacted it alot. Also, SS4 Goku was shown in the very first teaser when it was showing the old Budokai Tenkaichi gameplay so there's a strong possibility that GT might in fact be base roster but like I said, I can go either way.

To be honest they might be going a different path with this game and giving us all these characters outright with a complete and almost finish game like back in the day.
They probably seen games like elden ring, and bg3 and are giving us a damn near complete game with just a few characters to add in the end for dlc. That would make them way more money. I would buy the most expensive edition of this game has minimal bugs and just the updated gameplay from the past games.
Or maybe they plan on giving the game a 80 dollar price tag with all of the characters they’ve added would 1000% be worth it.
This conversation is the same when a new Dragonball game comes out.

I think Pan is too young to be in, isn't she like 4? She's younger than Kid Goku and Kid Gohan. So I think that's unrealistic. Other than that i agree with your list! I could also see Fat Gotenks, Dr Hedo and Magenta making it. If they're gonna have a lot of weak/gadget characters like Tenkaichi 3 was beginning to implement.

Every Sparking(budokai tenkaichi) game were released on october, they are definitely releasing sparking zero this october there are insiders saying it is releasing this fall

I highly doubt Super Hero will be DLC, this game is coming out with Daima so Daima naturally needs to be DLC pack 1

Feel zero desire to get a game that excludes GT and Movies villains (Cooler, Boujack). An if its 70$ not getting no dlc for characters that should be there unlike trash like u11 or u2 characters.
Especially when we have had those characters in pretty much EVERY db game, even the not so good games like battle of Z had movie characters

This is not going off leaks and rumours in fact I recorded this in March before all recent leaks, this is me giving thoughts based on what has already been revealed, such as who has been revealed so far and from what arcs, and how many characters the game is confirmed to have, because there isn't enough space for everyone on the base roster size

It's about major characters that should be on the base roster, possibly not being on the main roster which is an issue BECAUSE that means they would be dlc, almost the opposite of what you're suggesting I'm saying. Anyways it's clearly pointless trying to explain to you, thanks for the video idea I'll consider it haha

I'm concerned about the roster of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. If they're focusing on Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super characters in the 164 roster, then what are they going to put the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z Movies, and Dragon Ball GT characters to fill in? Yes, I am grateful to see Dragon Ball Super characters to be in Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking game for the first time. But I'm going to be patient if they're going to add more characters from other Dragon Ball media besides Super and Z.
Especially since pretty much every game has the movie characters
Yeah, I know. They always put the original Broly and Bardock in most of the Dragon Ball games in the past.
Don't forget lord slug and turles got a lot of moments in the xenoverse 2 story, so it would be really odd for them to not even be in the base roster for this game
Why should we be ok with DLCs at all? We need games that come out with all the crap… I can see a little bit of DLC like daima. I could see DLC for small characters like roshi and rebrianne. But we need characters that’s been in all these DBZ games since the Dawn of time (GT and movie characters). The DLCs should be for characters that don’t find their ways into games often or that aren’t real or utilized characters like ssj3 broly, ssj3 vegeta, hyachiak, low tier GT characters, hyrudigon, etc. those are DLCs to me. We need Z Broly, cooler, bojack, ssj4 goku, ssj4 vegeta, ssj4 gogeta, baby, omega shenron, turles, lord slug, etc. we need what we always see.
Honestly i completely agree and I feel like we've been numbed by games constantly making more and more of their content dlc to the point we are essentially buying unfinished games, and I feel its especially gone too far with fighting games in particular. Really the only dlc we SHOULD get is stuff that isn't out yet like Daima or a future dragon ball super season or movie
