Bo Jackson was a terrible pick for all time fastest football player. His 40 was unofficial before they had electronic timing and is very much still controversial. By comparison he ran track in college at Auburn and had a verified official 100m time of 10.39 in 1984, which is fast but hardly fastest all time. Guys like a Tyreek Hill (10.19), Darrell Green (10.08), Willie Gault (10.10), Bob Hayes (10.06), Trindon Holliday (10.00), Jeff Demps (10.01) were all much faster in the 100m.
As a life long football fan, i can tell you know that there have been MANY people that were recorded faster than Bale...Robben ran a 40 km/h sprint in the 2014 world cup against Spain, Mbappé has had MULTIPLE 38 km/h sprints, Alphonso Davies and Adama Traore have both also clocked in at over 37 km/h...the one that is the "unoffical" record holder is Terens Puhiri, who ran at an almost GOD LIKE SPEED, but the sprint was never measured, you can find the clip of it on YT by searching his name
Heres what you arent getting... he called it "soccer"... says it all right there 😂.. us who know, knows bale aint the fastest and can name ppl who were faster. Like aaron lennon
John Wall actually is faster IMO and Derrick Rose was probably the quickest and most explosive PG or player at all in the NBA that ive seen. If i had to say Westbrook is up there but not as quick or explosive as Rose. And not fast as Wall.
I had the same idea he also ran on a cinder track which is a horse racing track and shoes that were size too big and if I remember correctly he said a world record now tell me if Usain bolt can do that I think he's a great sprinter but he also has modern technology in good fitting shoes just saying
I remember that once in 2013 against Inter, Bale ran 36 meters in 3.50 seconds, of course, in full gear, but this is still the fastest stage in football
Hayes, Willie Gault from Raiders Olympian (80 boycott) but was 4x100 relay WR team. James Jett gold medal 88 4x100 (also Raiders). All faster than Bo. Nod to Hayes as he was won the individual 100m gold and not just relay. Baseball can't argue with Henderson for use of speed, but having watched more baseball than healthy in the 80's I believe Vince Coleman was actually faster than Ricky. Ricky did it better and longer but in a flat out race I think Coleman would have won.
Yo total running productions love the vids and I'm a huge fan. for "soccer/football" you should look at Adama Traore from Wolves his speed, strength and acceleration is insane
Carlin Isles is the fastest Rugby player. He ran a 10.13 100 meter dash and a 6.68 60 meter dash. He played on the practice squad for the the Detroit Lions back in 2013 and ran a 4.22 40 during practice.
It depends how you measure it. In terms of 100m time, yes. However some players hit a higher top end. Plenty of guys on the 7's circuit can run just as fast, but not with the acceleration and deacceleration that elite sprint training gives.
You're wrong about who was the fastest person in football. Bo had a lot of myths about his quantitative but one that is easily disprovable is definitely the 40yd dash. Bo Jackson ran track and field in college and his best 100m was 10.44s. It's a good time but there are high school athletes that regularly beat that time in their senior year every single year. Bob Hayes on the other hand was a legitimate NFL football player and ran in the olympics. His personal best time was 9.9 seconds in 1964 which if anyone knows the sprints, is worlds apart from Bo Jacksons 10.44.
Bo played longer in MLB than NFL, so he's probably my pick for fastest MLB player, too. Henderson obviously stole a ton of bases, but those are also functions of 1) getting on base a lot and 2) learning how to time running on pitchers and catchers, getting good jumps w/o getting picked off.
Bob Hayes is the fastest nfl nfl player ever he was literally the fastest man in the world at the time look up his gold medal race in the Olympics it's pretty crazy
Yes of course Hayes was faster than Bo, but it's also important to remember that Hayes wasn't HIS fastest during his time in the NFL. Darrell Green was the fastest man ever on a *football field* , not Bob Hayes.
I saw bo playing baseball at the old cleveland stadium indians vs. Royals ...watching him hit a triple was the most amazing combination of speed and power ive ever seen live in person ..nothing else is even close

@@zakillah9702 I think he meant strides. Yeah Bolt doesn't look so fast (a little stiff and heavy). About Tyson Gay for example you cannot see his legs during a race.
obviously im not denying his greatness, but keep in mind he specifically trains for this while the others train for their sports... also, for soccer its more endurance and speed is often clocked later in games, for basketball they mentioned russ's speed WITH THE BASKETBALL which makes it significantly harder yet he still clocks a great speed, and for baseball again, uncomfortable equipmentand a short distance not letting him reach his top speed
@@zakillah9702 there's a lot of american football fans and even athletes that claim they are faster. Obviously, it's silly Bolt stood out even among all specialized professionals in this in history.
Deon Sanders? I'm far from an expert on the subject (sprinters or sports) but I always thought Deon was one of the fastest ever... I remember Moss being pretty quick too
At 6 foot someone used his speed and quickness to be the scoring champion. How many people that small can be an NBA scoring champion. Iverson also showed his speed on the football field.
Bo was insane. One of a few athletes fast enough and powerful enough to injure himself the way he did. Tyreek hill ran a 10.3 when he was 19 and DK Metcalf just ran a 10.3 as well. Football has a ton of great athletes, Bo was definitely at the top. I would have thought CR7 would be one of the fastest soccer players. He is way explosive
@@bradthompson5383 when DK specialized in speed for the Olympic trials he still got blown away. Plus he has had significant specialized training in speed due to being part of track throughout HS and college. Even so, dropping 30 lbs off of him won't make him significant faster. Some defensive and offensive lineman run 4.5 to 4.6 40s but dropping 80 lbs off them won't make them as fast as DK. DK could lose 30 lbs and still not be close to Tyreek. Bolt is on an entirely different planet when it comes to speed
@@bradthompson5383 lol. Yeah because dk is faster than all the other fastest guys in the world that couldn't beat bolt. Please. That is absolutely moronic to think.
Greatest acceleration I ever saw was a young Wilt Chamberlain. I saw a video where he was last to start down the court and beat every player to the other end. It's on RUclips and it was frightening.
Lmao, Wilt was 7'2 near 300 pounds. Nobody with those proportions is going to be as fast as the guys mentioned here, let alone Olympic sprinters. Wilt has so many myths surrounding him its getting ridiculous. 50 inch vert, 600 pound bench, 4.3 40 etc. All of them are hot bullshit.
@@Lit-fo2im Lmao, no. The 50 inch vertical is bullshit. Nobody that heavy has ever or will ever jump that high. There is no photographic or videographic evidence that Wilt had even a 40 inch vert, let alone 50. The highest estimate I've seen is 36-38 based on photographs and video. The 4.3 40 might be the most ludicrous of them all. The absolute fastest recievers in the NFL run legit 4.2X. And the 40 yard dash is about explosiveness and starting speed, not maximum acceleration. Guys that are over 6' are notably slower in the first 40 yards of a 100 meter sprint. Even Usain Bolt was getting beat put of the blocks through the first 30 meters, it wasnt until later in the race he overtook everyone. No way a 7'2 300 pound pudgy guy with toothpick legs is running a 4.3 in 1960 lmao. The very suggestion is disrespectful to athletes the world over and to the advancements made in technology and training systems, diet etc over the last half century. The 500 pound bench claim might even be the most ridiculous. Look up Haftor Bjornson on Google. He's 6'9 450 fucking pounds of a brick shit house. He bench presses 550 And he dedicates his existence to becoming as strong as humanly possible, he had the best genetics possible to be huge and strong (northern european) and he pumps grams of steroids into his body weekly to push those limits even higher. And you think 7'2 twig basketball player from the 60's is 90 percent as strong as he is? L.O.L. Being 7'2 is a huuuuuuge disadvantage when it comes to weightlifting. Its just physics, longer arms = longer moment arm and therefore more force required to move the same weight. Wilt benching 500 would be the equivalent of a 5'10 guy benching 800 pounds, which nobody has ever done btw. None of the claims regarding Wilts athletic feats are even remotely feasible. And there is no actual evidence that any of it happened. Therefore you shouldn't believe them.
TWFH - Bob Hayes comes to my mind. Played with the Dallas Cowboys. Im old enough to remember him. I wonder what his 40 yard dash time was? Ive never seen a 40 yard dash time on Tony Dorsett , OJ Simpson, or Gayle Sayers either. These guys had world class speed!!
Interesting, I don't watch hockey but live in Edmonton so obviously have heard of McDavid, never knew he was fast. I woulda thought someone like Teamu Selanne was the fastest.
I absolutely LOVED this video. Definitely one of your bests. I love how you took all the other major sports and branched out from just running but still talked about running. it was so interesting.
This video isn't even factual. Bo Jackson isn't even in the top 50 fastest men ever in the NFL. The creator of this video didn't even post Bo's legal 100 meter time of 10.44. He posted his windaided time of 10.39. No one in track talks about their windaided times. Lmao. This video sucked, it isn't even the facts. Just opinions.
I've seen videos of Wilt running down the court just blowing by everyone. This particular video--Wilt Chamberlain Speed and Agility Compilation--tells quite a bit about Wilt's speed.
@@Someone-hi1nt4.4 40 speed is 4.4 speed, no matter if the other players run an 8-second 40. What a stupid comment.. That’s like saying Deion Sanders wasn’t fast cuz everybody else was slow, hypothetically. And Wilt’s most athletic competition was Bill Russell. Ran a 4.4 40, also and had around a 48” vertical. Wilt would’ve dominated in this era with ease
Bo Jackson is my all-time favorite player, but......Uh, in terms of raw speed in the NFL, BOB HAYES was the fastest RUNNER ever to grace the NFL football field...He was once considered the "world's fastest human" by virtue of his multiple world records in the 60-yard, 100-yard, 220-yard, and Olympic 100-meter dashes. Hayes tied the world record to win the 100 meters, then anchored the U.S. 4x100-meter relay team that broke the world record. Hayes is the only athlete to win both an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl ring (with the Dallas Cowboys)..
I. Y.Boytchuk Very interesting video, but as much as I love Bo Jackson, on that choice you are undeniably WRONG. The fastest football player ever was Bob Hayes, who played for the Dallas Cowboys, after his Olympic career as a sprinter. Hayes won the Gold medal in the 100 M. then went on to play wide receiver for Tom Landry and the Cowboys. How could you overlook him?

@@ghassankhan7728 that the thing, I’m not saying he didn’t because it’s not like I know the man, but Bolt never got caught at least. That’s the thing about him, it’s not just that his times (specifically the 100, but 200 still to an extent) are substantially faster than those of second place, but he is the only guy to do it without drugs. A fun fact I’ve heard a few times is, of the 30 fastest times ever run in the 100m, only 9 of them were run by a sprinter who didn’t get caught doping. Of those 9, 9 of them were run by Usain. Jesus fucking Christ. It’s not that he’s substantially faster than everyone, it’s that he did it while having a substantial disadvantage. AND HE WAS THE WRONG SIZE!
DK's fastest recorded 100m time is 10.36. A speed increase of 10% would make his 100m time would put him at ~9.32 making im the new world record holder by over a quarter second. Also you say DK can easily run a 9.32 if he trained for it. Bolt could easily do what DK does if he trained for it.
I agree with this list completely! I think that the one other person that should probably be on this list it Adama Traore. The man is an absolute unit!
I would have to disagree with the Nba choice. Not mad at the Russell Westbrook choice though.. For me it would it would have to be Derrick Rose..In my lifetime so far he had to be the fastest among the Nba players. Granted we didn't have his prime version for long but the way he he outspeed his opponents[usually guards including Westbrook] was amazing to see.. Good Vid btw..
In football it was Bo Jackson for short distances, and bullet Bob Hayes for the whole field. The mid distance guy was Darrell Green. Darryl green was good at anything between 30 and 60 yards downfield as a safety. He raced against Carl Lewis in college, and made Carl Lewis really work for it. In baseball I have not seen anyone move faster than Ricky Henderson. Today's top speed man is Tim locastro of the Yankees. But on a consistent basis, Ricky Henderson had world class speed.
I always lacked both the acceleration to play a sport like football and the endurance to be a real track athlete. I did go to a track camp once when I was about 15 years old and we had a mechanically timed “flying 15” contest. No human stopwatch error. I placed second in the entire camp barefoot. I didn’t have time to put my spikes on for various murky reasons. This camp included D1 college athletes…4 to 5 years older. With a rolling start and for just 15m I had almost world class speed. In terms of sports usability… that’s pretty pointless. I was all-state on soccer and I was a pole vaulter. But nothing special really.
Darrell Green says "Bo don't know speed", when I'm running Tony Dorsett and Eric Dickerson down from behind. Bo may have been fast, but Darrell was still catching him. When Bo scored that 91 yard TD, it was like Wow. When Darrell caught Tony and Eric from behind, that was otherworldly.
Usain often reminded me of the RoadRunner ... At about the 60 meter mark, he’d turn his head, flick his tongue, and go shooting off into the distance ...
"Bullet" Bob Hayes was amazingly fast, but the fact that Bo was 225 and was as fast as he was makes him a true freak of nature. His archery skills are top shelf as well.
Herschel Walker was way faster than Bo Jackson. 10.23 to Bo's legal 100 meter time of 10.44, not the windaided 10.39 this guy posted on this video. Bo isn't even in the top 50 fastest men ever in the NFL. Bo was a great RB though, I'll give him that.

I was expecting this list to start with CJ2K. Bo Jackson was an incredible athlete, but not an insane speedster like peak Chris Johnson.

Darrell Green fastest men in the NFL for 10years str8 , no one was close

Adama traore 36 meters in 3,49
I’m pretty sure Bob Hayes was faster then Bo Jackson, Bobs 4 by 1 anchor leg of 8.60 on a Cinder Track, and still beating his competitor is insane!
Hayes, Willie Gault from Raiders Olympian (80 boycott) but was 4x100 relay WR team. James Jett gold medal 88 4x100 (also Raiders). All faster than Bo. Nod to Hayes as he was won the individual 100m gold and not just relay.

He's wrong
Bo played longer in MLB than NFL, so he's probably my pick for fastest MLB player, too. Henderson obviously stole a ton of bases, but those are also functions of 1) getting on base a lot and 2) learning how to time running on pitchers and catchers, getting good jumps w/o getting picked off.

You don’t run in hockey
