    not a fan of the union at all, they regulate your pay and theres a cap on your money, self employed all day

      There’s nothing wrong with Unions at all. They don’t regulate pay… they actually set the minimum wages for Prevailing Wage jobs. Think non-union contractor on a government funded job site….
      And there is also no cap if you really excel at what you do. Yes you can cap out if your are satisfied with just being a journeyman but you can always be paid above the scale and promoted. If you want to be an “employee” then being in a Union is the best choice you can make. Union Plumbers healthcare and benefits is pretty much a Cadillac plan(best of the best), which also covers your family the exact same. The pension is also unbelievable.

      It's funny that a non union guy would take the time to find this video and comment. If you're not a "fan" you don't have to be, that's what's great about it. We chose to be in a union. You apparently chose not to. Different strokes for different folks.
