- A lone Enkoyonai lioness with a gnu that she caught.
We watched Nashipai, a lioness from the Enkoyonai pride, stalking close to the Ntikitiak river, the terrain meant we lost sight of her for a while. When she was found again she had just caught an adult gnu so we were able to watch her open up and start feeding on her prey.

About Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos:
The purpose of the channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day. Love this type of raw, authentic, unedited wildlife footage with no background music or other BS. Thank you!
I agree as well 👍🏽👏🏽
I'm so happy she caught this meal. She looked awfully skinny. Now she's going to have a full belly!
Good job lioness! 🙌🏾 And it’s all hers! Don’t have to share with nobody. I hope she was able to get good & full and no hyenas or male lion took it from her.
Glad to see her enjoying a good meal to keep herself and her cubs strong. ❤️
I am so happy she can eat as much as possible , may be reunites and shares with her pride members. I hope they all have a full bellies in order to increase their strength and energy for protecting themselves and their cubs. Thank you Mr Rob for sharing this amazing video!
Thank you. Love these full length raw videos of predators eating from start to finish.
Hi Rob, thanks for another amazing wildlife video 👏👏 Amazing to watch a lioness eat her prey from the beginning without missing a single detail. The way she starts the meal by licking the food to soften it and giving priority to the softer parts. 👍👍
Fantastic sighting thank you so much for sharing this with us. I’m so so happy that lioness got to eat most of that wildebeest herself! She needed a good feed to build her strength and produce more milk for her little cubs. Wouldn’t be very often that she gets a really good feed to herself. Well done beautiful lady! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic video! I am glad to see her having a good meal to keep herself strong.
Many thanks, Rob 👍
Well done Rob. This is one amazing video. We hardly get to see a video of a feeding from the start through. Nice work mate.
Fantastic. Orders of magnitude better than anything the BBC has ever made.
ライオンの捕食の様子を伝える素晴らしい動画に感謝します!!😘
I been waiting for a video like this thank you Mr Rob. It’s Amazing how much they can eat in one sitting
As usual amazing video although I wish you zoomed in more when she was eating. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
i love Rob Video ❣️
This is a first-rate video showing the approach that a lion takes to eating it's prey. This lioness opened her kill in a spot that appears (from the camera angle) to be behind the front leg and the worked her way back without trying to go for much of the meat in the shoulder. This is a bit unusual spot considering all the other good meat available on that kill. She seems to like skin and crunching up small bones (The sound on this video, when the vehicles weren't moving, was superb!), You also saw her work to get at the heart, pierce it and drink the blood. She also took a bite or two out of the rumen but then ignored it for the remainder of the video. I think she was venting it to get rid of the trapped gas, which would make eating around it easier. Towards the end, she finally got into the good meat in the back legs (from the inside!) and some of the entrails. I always wonder if the lion's body cues them into what to eat next to get the nutrition that it is looking for at the time. In any case, I hope she was able to eat as much as she wanted and leave with a nice, full belly!
Lone female nursing cubs Rob? Great sighting💥
Seems so yes
@@robtherangercan I ask u a question what’s the different between gnu and wildebeest are they the same
@user-og5ro6ky6f yes, you get the blue and black wildebeest. The black wildebeest is also known as a white-tailed gnu. The blue wildebeest has a number of sub-species and the one in the video is known as the western-white-bearded gnu. Southern Africa has the brindled gnu, which is still a blue wildebeest. The word gnu is said to come from the sound the animals make and has been in use long before the Dutch named it a wildebeest (wild cow)
K hermoso seria poder estar ay disfrutar de lo lindo k es tener a los animales k toda la vida e segido un sueño literalmente un sueño y x supuesto ber en su plenitud al rey de la selva
Wow 😳 that's a big meal for her and that tough skin gave her a rough start.
Amazing how they don’t bite their tongue as much as they use it when eating
She is lucky, She can take whole meal without sharing with other member of pride.
rob always gets the best captures
Very good
Nice video. Thanks
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Muito bom! 👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🍽️🍽️🍽️

Excellent Video
Thanks , dear Rob !
Good night !
Eat to your heart's content!
The sound of the machinery is So Loud, they must be so hungry to stay and tolerate it
They’re used to it. The cameras at a distance, the jeeps, people talking off to the side - not always about the animals in front of them - they’ve grown accustomed to it decades ago.
Fascinating to watch lions get into their lunch.
Amazing Nature ✌️😜
Another nice long video Rob! How old will the cubs be when she goes, with them, back to the pride?
A lot depends on how far the pride is away and if there are other young cubs. It's usually at least six weeks before she brings them to kills. A close pride means cubs may meet the pride very early but still stay in the den. A pride with other small cubs may see a creche situation with the cubs all being kept in one spot whilst the mothers hunt.
@@robtheranger OK. Thanks for the explanation!
Incredible footage Rob 👍
Fending #very good video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Always great footage but has anyone ever seen Bob or one of his team film the actual kill? Just wondering if it's like getting a hole in one in golf.
Como siempre exelente video Rob
Thank you

How heavy is gnu?
About the same as the lioness
Great footage. Wonder why she keeps licking the wilderbeast's skin/fur.
She’s a vampire
Fantastic raw video!! real vampire she is the way she drinks the blood.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An excellent video almost spoilt by the constant talking and noisy vehicles. I know it can't be helped with the amount of tours but damn it gets loud.
Hyena would have been taking a post meal nap by the time the lion caught it's breath
Hola rob, como andas?
A very nice video. Thank you Rob. What happened to her pride? Was she ousted? Or is she really a lone Lioness?
She had recently given birth so was not ready to bring the cubs out to the pride yet
Vultures will die of old age waiting on this lion
Hello Rob. Well as always really am enjoying this post. Keep them coming bro. I really do look forward to your next post. Take care. And as always stay safe. Question Rob. Is this lioness flesh sagging on account of her just have a liter? Or is it because she hasn't eaten lately? Either way she sure is a beautiful animal. I sure do hope that I will have the opportunity to visit your park soon. I will most definitely look you up. If and when that chance comes about?
I think a combination of hunger and recent birth for the saggy flesh
@@robtheranger hello once more. I wanna thank you for responding to my question. Yeah I figured that it was one and or both. Thank you all. Well keep up the great job. GOD bless you all.
🙏
how did he make a noise at around 18:00 I thought he was dead?!!
@@lighthousemaccabee8133 I think that was sound from a vehicle radio that coincidentally synchronised with the movement of the carcass

Are wildabeasts or gnu's good for human consumption? Do the taste good?
You can find Wildebeest meat in butches shops in South Africa, it is less popular than other antelope meats though
Where is her pride ?
They joined later
I wonder if Rob could settle the issue: is this animal properly called a gnu or a wildebeest? Or are they two different critters?
Gnu and wildebeest as a whole are interchangeable. However usually you find wildebeest is used for the two main species, blue and black. Gnu is used for all the different subspecies as well as the two main species: The black wildebeest is a white-tailed Gnu and the blue wildebeest has multiple subspecies - in South Africa the blue wildebeest subspecies is the brindled gnu and in the Maasai Mara the blue wildebeest are western white-bearded gnu.
I'm very enjoying
Such a lazy lioness, still eating 😂
The lions get the meat for free but for us, we'll have to pay at the butchers. Life is not fair.
You're mistaken, lions work very hard to get their meet. Not only that, they risk their lives each hunt. And their meet is not examined for parasites/pathogens.
I agree with hotbit on this one.
👍
The only thing I did not like in this video are the sound of vehicles and people constantly talking.
Aslan tek başına yiyesi gelmiyor yanında bir iki Aslan olsa daha iştahlıbyerdi..
At 0:56 the sound from the grudge movie 😬
It is!
Nala from lion king ate a wildebeest
✌️♥️♥️♥️👍🇧🇷😃
So, Rob was she able to avoid other predators because she didn’t tear into the stomach contents?
There was nothing left in the morning, so hyenas must have taken it overnight
Why did you habe have the damn car running after it snaped the jugular vien and drank blood 🩸 for a solid 1:45 at 22:40 ruined the whole sequence that shows exactly how lions get the majority of thier moisture intake. Boy she really enjoyed having a drink after exhausting herself opening up that kill!
Not.My.Car.
@@robtheranger gotcha my bad. Thanks for your reply. Love your videos.

Где окончание видео? Самое интересное осталось за кадром
I seen video where giraffe was hurt and park officials killed it lions found the meat but wouldn't eat it because humans scent was on it but they will eat rotten meat lol
Must have been in a place where lions have a bad association with humans as I e seen them eating plenty of animals that humans have touched
