that is my favourite song by the carpenters..but after listening hundreds of times to it, this version is really refreshing !! great job !!
Nice! Evgenia has a beautiful voice--rich and dark, but clear and articulate. Her playing was very tight, and melodic, but not overplayed. While Nestor's hollow body retains a reference to George Benson, he maintains his own style and voice throughout. The bass and drums were solid in their time--providing presence--without getting in the way. Very solid! Very nice!
Evgenia does a class act with Leon Russell's This Masquerade. It topped the charts in all three: Jazz, Pop and R& B.

you do realize that this is actually 'Angel Eyes,' written by Matt Dennis and appearing in the 1953 film 'Jennifer.' much hipper than 'Masquerade.' Leon just pirated the chords and tacked his lyrics/melody onto them.

Well guitar player has better chops than me but just barely. He basically doesn't have the chops. Piano player is much better. A looong long way off Benson of course...(who would buy a cherry red L5CES anyway? good grief! gotta be sunburst or not at all!).
Well he doesn't have the chops or musicality period. Some, but not quite. Pianist is much better. Disappointing. Still, you take on a song like that always gonna have George Benson in the background.
Well he had some nice ideas, but not the chops to pull them off. So great singer and pianist, mediocre rest of band, poor guitarist.
