    Hey love, thx so much for this video. I’m a freshman right now and I’m so overwhelmed knowing everything I have to get done, idk if you ever made a spreadsheet but I would love to be able to see it if you did😫💕 congrats on your success!!!

      Hi love! What kind of spreadsheets are you looking for? I have a couple, but very specific ones. 🫶

    Im applying to PA school in the summer of 2024. I’m really nervous I’m not gonna get into my dream school on the first try (University of South Alabama). Here’s what my stats will be when I apply:
    - Overall GPA: 3.88
    - Science GPA: 3.75
    - Patient Care Hours: ~500 (scribing and caregiving)
    - Volunteer hours: ~ 40 hours
    - PA Shadowing Hours: ~ 90 hours
    - GRE: retaking it in May, so I don’t know yet. My last test score was 294, and I barely studied. I’m retaking it and studying for three months beforehand, and I’m aiming for a 300 or higher.
    - Letters of Recommendation: 2 PAs, 1 MD

      Your success does not depend on whether you get into your dream school or even whether you get in first try 💛 Some of the best performers in my cohort are not first time applicants! If you don't get in first try (most don't), use the extra year you have to unwind and mentally prepare for PA school. Also remember that stats are just stats, but ultimately the interview is what gets you in. Focus on interview prep and give yourself some grace. You got this!

      @@snoatea Okay, thank you! That was my plan, so it’s good to know I’m on the right track! I haven’t done much interview prep, so thank you for the advice on that. 😊

      Hey how is your application process going? Did you submit your application? Did you receive any interviews yet? I just submitted my application.

      @@grahamduff7383 Hey! I just submitted my applications last week! I won’t hear back on interviews until October, so it’ll be a minute before I get acceptances/waitlists/denials, too. After doing some open houses, my top choice has actually changed. But we’ll see what happens! 😃

    how much time did you give those individuals to write your rec letters?

    • @snoatea
      @snoatea  Год назад

      6-8 weeks before I wanted them in CASPA! Any longer than that I felt was too long, risking them putting it on the back burner because it's far out. I also told them it was due a few weeks before I actually needed them (like 1-2 weeks) to ensure I had cushion. If your program requires 3, I would recommend asking 4-5 people in case one falls through.
