    Onwership is a problem in Philippines, you can't own land, a house or an apartment. You have to let a native own 50% and they have the ability to scam you. Isn't it the same with owning a business?

      I think you can’t just owe a land! But house or apartment you can.

      Well, if the government allows foreign ownership, what do you think will happen to the locals? Homelessness...We are experiencing that already. Agricultural lands are turning into businesses and subdivisions, and people are complaining about why rice is expensive without realizing that the rice fields are getting smaller and smaller.

      @@calvincastiel5663 I understand, the locals perspective but obviously people like me, foreigners are concerned about protecting our own resources, money and investments. If I can’t have ownership of what I invest into, then I won’t do it, I’ll find another country to invest into that will give me full ownership. Who wants to risk being scammed or losing ownership because of the intent or emotions of another person, especially a woman. No thanks thank you

    I have been living here in Canada for 9 years.Canada is a boring and stressful place…Life in the Philipiines is one of the best because of a lot of hapiness and challenges…❤FIilipino people are here only for work and for the material things but the real meaning of hapiness is below zero.That is my observation and perception.❤…Nice interview Brother.❤

      Calvin can you please interview Filipinos who speak fluent Spanish and also those who speak limited Spanish. You can make them answer in both Spanish and English so you'd understand. And ask the Filipino people whether they want to bring Spanish back as an official language in the Philippines. FYI Spanish was the sole official language of the Philippines for 333 years and Tagalog was a minority at that time. There are some Filipinos who are actually trying to petition for its return to the Education curriculum. And recently BPOs are seeking Spanish speaking Filipinos.

    Calvin, could you feature a Black American couple on your Podcast who recently relocated to Cavite? You can find more about them on their RUclips channel @2travelingexpats vlog. Additionally, do you happen to know a Japanese man named Shotaro who works in BGC and has chosen to reside in the Philippines? He also shares his experiences through his vlog titled "Shotaro in the Philippines". Moreover, there is a British vlogger named Mergim who resides in BGC as well, and you can also view his vlogs on Mergim vlogs. Please feature them in your podcast sooner.

      In those 333 years, only Spaniards (originating from Mex or island born or friars) and high-society Indians spoke Spanish. The rest spoke dialects, borrowing Spanish words to assume classiness.
      The main reason for this is, because among Indians, only the high class got education. The rest were "no read, no write".
      In 1898, America bought the PI. Spaniards exited in a mass exodus. Americans imposed their language and civilization. Whatever Spanish left, naturally faded out.
      What is called today as Filipinos are mostly descendants of Indians in those 333 years.

    • @Blairezz98
      @Blairezz98 3 месяца назад

      @@oilairnalo you are VERY WR0NG! 🤣 SPANISH was the sole official language in the Philippines for 333 years. King Philip II's Leyes de Indias (Laws of the Indies) MANDATED Spanish authorities in the Philippines to educate the natives, to teach them how to read and write in the Spanish. Spanish was spoken fluently by many Filipinos whereas Tagalog and Indigenous languages were minorities at that time. National hero Jose Rizal wrote all his books in Spanish as he wasn't comfortable speaking Tagalog and so is Philippine's first president Emilio Aguinaldo who speak fluent Spanish. When the Americans came, they banned Spanish and mandated Filipinos to speak English in an effort to "delete" all traces of Spanish in the Philippines. About 2 Million Spanish speaking Filipinos were massacred in World War 2. The ones left and resisted faced punishment for speaking Spanish. Manila was heavily bombarded for the presence of many Spanish buildings/architecture. Moreover, it was the Americans that removed Spanish language from the Philippine government and court of laws. In 1987, the Spanish language has been removed from the Education system 37 years ago.. NOT soo long. To date, there are 1.2 Million Filipino Chavacanos who speak Spanish creole today. And majority of Filipino who speak limited Spanish can tell time, cost of things, count number, days of weeks or holidays in Spanish. A typical Japanese or Chinese cannot speak that. Only an average Filipino can speak those basic Spanish without problems or translators.
      Also, there was NO country until the Spaniards came. It was the Spain that created and built the Philippines from the ground and up. Spain was Philippines' motherland whether you like it or not. It was Spain who gave Philippines its official name; official map and sovereignty; official language Spanish; Spanish citizenship; religion and even first ever univeristies like UST. Even the first government was established by Spain and the governer general was appointed by the King of Spain himself. The first official Philippine Constitution you guessed it right- Spain issued it and everything was written in Spanish. Regardless of blood, ALL FILIPINOS under Spanish regime were Spanish citizens. To date, when you visit Philippine museums, all those documents and archives are in Spanish!
      2. Many Mexicans say they feel at home whenever they visit Philippines. FILIPINOS ARE HISPANIC. EVIDENCES? 🇪🇸 SPAIN has included the Philippines as a part of the Ibero-American system which gives Filipinos an entitlement to a reduced 2 years (instead of 10 years) waiting period to become Spanish citizens. More evidence? GO to Mexico City, at the CENTRO HISTORICO, there is a MUSEUM dedicated to BENITO JUAREZ, in a plaque you will READ as clear as ice that FILIPINOS are a part of HISPANIC World..yes Filipinos are Hispanic. Those who say otherwise were brainwashed by FALSE American propaganda that wanted Filipinos to "delete" their Spanish ties. 🤠
      3. Spain did not leave the Philippines yesterday. If Filipinos have Spanish ancestors centuries ago.. hello expect that blood is now at somewhat 3% in year 2024!! Duh common sense. Only goes to show with that 2% or 1% that they did actually have a full blooded Spanish ancestors.
