So, a price used to be, say, $10.00. Increase the price by 30% - we'll get $13.00. Give 25% discount - the result is going to be 75% OF THE $13.00 - the end result is $9.75, meaning you now save 25 cents. So I suppose you wanted to say that manufacturers try to make their discounts look bigger than they actually are?

Well I already knew one thing, if you see “organic” on a fruit package, it doesn’t mean anything. Same as the regular fruit, they just make it seem healthy and all so people buy the more expensive version. How do I know all of this? I used to work in a fruit farm and saw the way they package everything. Two versions, a regular package and one that says “organic” they don’t do anything to the fruit, only to the bag or whatever you’re buying.

Always read the nutrient content as well. Over here we use the metric system and it always states gr per serving (ignore) go for gr per 100gr this way you know that if a certain food states it has 47gr of sugar per 100gr of product you know you buy something that is 47% sugar (for imperical system users work out at home how to figure out how much % per weight so you don't have to do lots of math in store). Also I always look at the kg prices or gr prices for better comparing (for instance mushroom pack A says 1.85 for 400gr great value pack, mushroom pack B smaller and is 1.50 for 300 gr. The kg price clears any doubt because Mushroom A = 4.63/kg and mushroom B = 5.-/kg. Even toilet paper can be decieving with amount of m per roll. Know your comparitable prices.

You’re quite right but I don’t think meat and other animal products aren’t considered processed packet food. In my opinion that’s not the way to go vegan. Plus you can obviously check the back label whenever you buy something that attracts you yet you feel something sketchy about it.

Many cereals contain Sodium Phosphate. This is a harsh cleaner that my late husband (who was a restaurant manager for several years) used to clean the grease hoods and traps. Found buried at the back of our linen closest a bulk package of Olay soap bars. The new bulk package had not changed price, and the same amount of bars came in the package. But why did something feel 'off'? Buried soap bars had 110g of material, while new bars were only 93g. Same price, same amount of bars, not equal!

Found buried at the back of our linen closest a bulk package of Olay soap bars. The new bulk package had not changed price, and the same amount of bars came in the package. But why did something feel 'off'? Buried soap bars had 110g of material, while new bars were only 93g. Same price, same amount of bars, not equal!
Not to mention the " no artificial colours and preservatives" BS 🙂

yes i saw that cup noodles from out side seems that there is lots but when you cut the cup from sides there is only a centemeter of noodles in the middle
