So if I buy one of these for my 97 Civic and have a locksmith copy the pattern, the car will start without an imobilizer?

Yes, 97 Civics (at least in the USA) do not have immobilizers.

Fits the Honda Passport but not the S2000 😂

The S2000 requires an immobilizer key. The older Passports do not... and they just so happen to share the same blank design. ;)
