You must be 15, err Bert Jansch or Neil Young, Id even put Mark Lanegan's up there ahead of him oh and they can also play an instrument, MJK I love but cmon you're kidding yourself on stating that.
A lot of their music has spiritual meditative qualities to it. This song is a prime example. Puscifer has this amazing ability to make silence a strength in their songs. The spaces in between the music provide a uniqueness that I have not heard from other bands. It allows the mind to settle while listening like a meditation.
It sounds good but it's intentionally vague in it's lyrics like all of Puscifer, Tool, APC. The reason is because these bands were funded by the CIA and are meant to derail you from anything tangible and real as a Westerner (White, Christian). Tool and Puscifer are the Gen X-Gen Z version of The Grateful Dead, which were the first musical CIA operation. Grateful Dead was used to push LSD and fuel a fake anti war movement. Tool and Puscifer I suspect are simply meant to spiritually derail whites as their homelands are peacefully taken from them and they are slowly genocided.

From beginning to end we always strive for more and more, until there is no more. Light the inner fire and ascend beyond the trap of the 3d realm. Not via technology, but natural process. We are more than most of us know. We were meant to become something spectacular but we limit ourselves and one another.
Damn, never expected to hear echoes of medieval polyphonic organum style in a fuckin modern song, but Maynard never strays from the strange. Wicked stuff!
The back vocals sample that kicks in at 2:25 is most definitely a bulgarian folklore motive. Maynard had mentioned in an interview once when asked what music he listens, he listed stuff from all over the world including Bulgarian Female Folklore Qhoirs. The bulgarian spirit in me tells me im right. This song is mistical and hipnotising and also so melancholic that it kind of weighs on your heart. Greetings from a bulgarian girl in Ireland.
And not just the sampling but the layering of Carina Rounds voice at the last part of the song is also pure imitation of the Bulgarian folklore acapella. I wish Puscifer actually includes Bulgaria in his touring (if those days come soon).

Before you decide that Puscifer isn't in your musical taste go take a listen to a few songs from each previous album. You might find something, each album is unique in sound.
One of the many things that Maynard does so well is extend a short line of lyrics or stall a long line out to create an illusion. This song is a perfect example of that and that is why i love it so much!
I always have to listen to the words. I hate to say it but I'm not happy with music... I'm sure I'll get used to it....it all sounds the same. Pusifer and perfect circle are my favorite bands.
I generally hate the whole this is the best album whenever it’s a new album that comes out. This one just happens to exceed my expectations. And, this time it’s more about the complete package rather than obsessing over what Maynard did this time😆
Maynard is the voice of our Heavenly Father. Any type of music he is involved with. He is constantly trying to the same point across. The same beautiful and perfect message 😍
Everything is the voice of the divine. No wonder why Maynard gets irritated with fans at times. Cause you don't get it at all and are so quick to say that your right. Remember you were never an island😂

The show "Yellowstone" has a ton of Puscifer songs used in the soundtrack. Turns out music inspired by northern Arizona works wonderfully for central/eastern Montana too.

Actually this song is about disconnecting from your heavenly father/overseer.
@Lunar Conduit Or about disconnecting from ego driven perspectives which in turn yields connection with/our own divinity.
