@@flydriveexplore my parents went to the pelican down ogmore after seeing your video the other day. They enjoyed it so much they recommended it to us, so we are going this Tuesday!
Hi Marcus and Mel. I have been a follower of both your channels for some time, always enjoy your videos. I enjoyed this one in particular, having grown up in the Llynfi Valley area (but now living in Perth, WA) and since my wife and I will be visiting Wales next month, we hope to have a meal at Yr Hen Dy! I am also glad you are planning to do a video about Llangynwyd, as its history and that of the immediate area, are fascinating. Keep the videos coming ! Wayne Powys
Close to my heart this one thanks Marcus my Father was named Cynwyd and the private Cemetery is where Dad and Mam are Buried and my Grandparents. Wonderful history and there is an old what was a wooden castle behind one of the farms down the road together with Hill forts further up the mountain towards Margam and where the Monks used to use the Cistercian way to Neath Abbey from Llangewydd lost village and churches Standing Stones marked on old maps.
Hi Marcus, very much enjoying these pub videos. My partner and I often visit the Angel Inn , Glynneath. There is a lovely waterfall walk right next to it which you may enjoy, hope it is not too far a drive.
Hi Marcus and Mel, it was nice meeting you both yesterday and thanks for showing us the way to Porthcawl town and we had our pasties there! Enjoyed watching your lovely very well-made informative videos! Looking forward to seeing your next one soon. Happy Easter! See you both again soon. 😉
Hi Marcus, Awesome live video I enjoyed it the food looks yummy and delicious. Happy Easter to you and your family. See you next video 😊 greetings from Canada
You should try the Highwayman pub down in the Vale of Glam near Cardiff airport.lovely food.and also the skirid Inn up by Abergavenny Wales oldest pub and the most haunted pub in wales.recemend the both pubs🏴👍👍love watching your videos keep up the good work 👍👍
Hello from the States. Another entertaining, informative and well-made video. Brought up The Old House 1147 on the laptop and took the virtual tour. It looks very rustic and clean inside. The floor to ceiling windows bring in a lot of natural light, even on an overcast and rainy day. The lamb and chicken portions were very generous, enough to get you thru the rest of the day. I added The Old House 1147 to my list of pubs to go to when I eventually get to Wales. Happy Easter to you and Mel. Be safe and stay well.
Another great video. Always meant to visit there. My wife and two daughters went recently while I’m out here slaving away in Saudi. Absolutely outrageous behaviour… I’ll be having words.
Should note 44.40 Sterling Pounds = 53.90 USD, after -21.00 discount for special two course lunch. That seems appropriate for what looks and sounds like really fine dining. Cheesecake is my favorite and I have never seen a slice quite like that. Seems like they whipped in some crushed bits of biscoff and bara brith, and added some fresh berries. Must be good.
thankyou for the history of that place and the review i fancy going up with the mrs just one thing tho on your bill it says supplenent £4 what was that ?
@@Sanddancer1 The two-course offer is £17.50 but the lamb is more expensive and has a supplement of £4 if you choose it. All other mains are part of the £17.50 offer and don't have a supplement.
Hello down south, out again? nice pub grub you both get, and I agree with you it's expensive, and what is interesting is number 7 on your bill it says "Supplement" that is £4, I wonder what that is for? something a little extra you did'nt show us? something for the band playing in the background? (not) or an nasty bit of cost added in instead of a service charge? who knows? I did not hear any complaint from you Marcus about this nasty addition?
Excellent video as always, great to see you both in the Llynfi Valley 👍
Thanks 👍
I love your videos, I love the informative bits about the areas and the recommendations
Thanks. Glad you like them!

Thanks for the tour. From one Marcus to another
Lovely grub there.
The best so far !! Me thinks 😊
I like this series. Sitting down eating rather than walking 6 miles over a mountain in the rain.
I like it better too 😂
Loved seeing The videos I love them.
Thanks

Happy Easter to you as a well.
Good video Marcus Porthcawl chip shops are much cheaper lol 😂
Thanks - Although not that much cheaper at the moment. We have to do a video on the best value eats.
@Fly Drive Explore we had a jumbo sausage from my favourite chip shop in Porthcawl it was £2 not cheap
@@GwynnB Where was that! You've made us hungry now. Chips tomorrow, maybe.
@Fly Drive Explore from chips to go.. I'm on a diet can't have chips only had a sausage lol 😆

We will try and get there in the near future.

Yes, from the front you can't notice the large extension overlooking the valley at the back. The portions were generous.

Yes, that's not on. Far too much enjoyment going on in your absence.

Hi - Two courses for £17.50 except the lamb which had a £4 supplement.
The meal looked lovely. Bit overpriced on the dash of lime! Sounds very noisy/echoing in the dining room.
Food looked nice. £1 for a dash of lime.🙈
The food was good. The drink, still better and cheaper than the dreaded 'Pepsi'
@@flydriveexplore Pepsi.🤢
