Always use a white water hose for potable water ,it doesn’t have any taste where green and black hoses give horrible tasting water. That’s why you always see white hoses at marinas and around boats
GOOD LUCK ❤
That’s great spending time with your dad and Finley
Cool adventure with your Dad camping.. it's really special to share time with your Dad,,
Kelly, u're made for RUclips. Beautiful and smart. Great family and Finley does his part too.
well said shes sharp..
Something just popped in mind watching this, Kelly is a superstar, not in a public hungry way or so, just in everything she does, she just DOES, and does it well, God Speed young girl
so nice you can spend time with Dad. Finley is a funny trip of a dog!
If only Finley could handle a ratchet! AC is on, now we’re camping! I’m down in Wauchula and I’ve seen folks fossil hunting down here at…Peace River Park, of course! Looks like a wonderful time with your Dad and, as a Dad, I can tell you how much it means to spend time like this with your kid(s)! Thanks for taking me along 🤗
Quick tip, let your tailgate down about halfway and hold it in place with the one of the limit straps/cables on either side by looping it over the peg.. Now your back up camera will be your perfect assistant for backing under the trailer hitch.
One of the best things my Dad ever taught me was how to change a tire. It's come in handy more than a few times. Now your Dad has taken it up a notch and showing you about taking care of a camper...that's pretty darn cool! I'm too old to change a tire anymore, but I'll know if someone isn't doing it right, lol. Wishing you wonderful adventures in the new camper Kelly, and looking forward to this one...fossil hunting! Heck yeah!
Hi Julianne, nice comment and as an old guy, I am impressed that Kelly could loosen the lugs, they can be tough to get off. Have a good one.
Thanks, Kelly, I know your dad is having a great time with you and Finley. Blessings and peace.
Nice addition, should be fun for short trips. Safety chains should not be twisted. Cross the chains and then hook to hitch. If the hitch fails the chains will then catch it preventing it from dragging on the ground sending you out of control.
So glad to see Finley doing well with the megaesophagus! Hope that has been going well. As a Veterinarian, I know the challenges for sure. You are obviously doing everything right!
In case your truck doesn't have a Backup Camera.
A tip to help make it easier to hook up to your camper. It helps to have someone get you into position to hook up to your trailer, so that you don't have to make multiple trips back and forth to get your ball and the trailer hitch lined up. Plus they can help you place the bits of tape.
It is literally like connecting the dots.
Once you have the hitch positioned over the ball, DO NOT MAKE THE HOOK UP, get into the driver's seat just as you would to back up your truck to the camper, hands on the wheel, sitting in the seat normally.
Now look in your rear view mirror and find a location on your truck and the camper. Electrical tape works real good for the next step. There are several colors available so that you don't have to use black if you don't want to.
Cut 2 pieces, about 1 inch long, so that the tape isa rectangle with the narrow ends at the top and bottom on the inside of your rear window. If you cut the tape with scissors so that the tape has flat ends it sticks much better than when stretched and torn.
You can put the first piece of tape on the inside of your back window close to the bottom so that it is most out of view normally.
Next, with your window rolled down so that your helper can hear you, talk with them to find a spot on the front of your camper so that when you put the tape like the rectangle in your truck so that the two ends stack on top of each other, connecting the dots.
Now the next time that you go to hook up your camper you can appear to know exactly where to drive your truck and to stop. The important part is to sit the same each time.
A gentleman who drove a dually hauling a car trailer around the country showed me that trick. It's kind of neat when folks are trying to help and you drive right into positionn.
Even if you have a back up camera it helps to have a spotter.
Good for you Kelly. You and your mom will have fun. Just make sure you have a fire arm with you while camping. You just don't know nowadays. Take care...be safe. ❤
Kelly Young is one of the greatest role models for young women on RUclips 🙏
❤ congratulations Kelly! It's so nice to see videos at home again with your Dad. Always our favorite. God Bless you always Alan&Maria
So glad you learned to change the tires. You should really consider buying an aluminum 3 ton harbor freight floor jack and keep the bottle jack as backup. Much better and safer. Keep up the Great video’s
You are truly wonderful. I can't tell you how much joy you bring us. Thank you.
Congratulations Kelly so you finally got your traveling home we remember you saying on one of your vlogs that you were going to get one and girl you did it. And the best part is you camping with your dad on your first camping home. Stay safe and healthy Godbless
Yess some family quality time Kelly. Have fun darling ❤.
I’m so glad to see Finley doing so well. Hats off to you!
Make sure your axle bearings are good and greased, always an issue with all trailers. Most don’t keep those on their radar, but is no fun when they go out on the road.😎
There are a lot of small things you will need eventually for your trailer.
But with all the electronics you have, the 1st thing you need is a surge protector. It could the best insurance for the electronics.
Hi Kelly I really like to see all of your videos nice seeing your dad and Finley nice camper too
I had wondered how much you were home between adventures. It always looks like it's none stop. I'm very happy for you Kelly. I know you never dreamed of a life quite like this and it isn't easy. Love you and your channel. Stay safe. ❤🙏
Never use old tires, they last no more than ten years. You took the right decision changing them. Finley is always excited lol, love him. Can’t wait to see the next video, Kelly.
Congratulations young lady on your guys camper ! That's cool THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA.....
These will be awesome videos. Of course all your videos are, but this is something all of us older people can do.
It's really cool to see your new adventures and I am always waiting to see of what is next, for you ,your dad and finley.
Great addition for your journeys Kelly. Best of luck. Look forward to the next video with the fossil/shark digging.
I really loved this video, Kelly, and I'm looking forward to more at home videos. I'm happy to see you aren't as extravagant in your lifestyle. ❤ If you don't need the best, you're much better off!
Pull that thing down the road a few miles then get out and feel the wheel hubs to see if they're getting hot. If they are, best to change the bearings. Wouldn't be a bad idea to change them anyways. AND your dad would be an awesome father-in-law.
Hi Kelly. I like the camper. Have a good time and enjoy the moments with family and Finley. Safe travels!
Looks like Kelly has a new toy to change up some things in the future vids, can’t wait to see what you come up with using your camper. Great work young lady
Make sure there is water in the water tank before turning on the water heater power switch. You will burn out the heating element if there is no water.
I would recommend using RUclips. There are many videos on setting up the water heater system
I probably would have just left those old breaks disconnected too… but fill those wheel bearings up with fresh grease! You backed that trailer like a boss at the campground!
I lived in camper for almost 10 years with my super uber goober Dawg, Ciara, a Rotti. It was 27' so slightly larger than yours. It does get easier with experience. Especially with a large breed dog like Finley, they need much more activity for their own health which I am sure you already know. Finley is a goober too! I love him! He is young but will learn the ropes so to speak.
Awesome!! I’ve been wanting to get a camper trailer for years! Nothing better for traveling! So much better than staying at a hotel. And cheaper! Can’t wait to see the videos in yours! Enjoy!
Full respect for this beautiful woman, not many like you out in the real world, 10+
Hope the AC works in the camper? It's really cute, Kelly! Your dad and mother are really nice even if they aren't married anymore. Happy Trails....
Looks beautiful, enjoy the small things, be grateful for what we have, and we will continue to be blessed with a wonderful life.
A good idea would be to carry an electric battery impact tool set with an 18volt -1/2 inch impact gun along with some screwdrivers and pliers, and of course the old reliable hammer when all else fails
Hi Kelly !
I'm not trying to "mansplain" this to you, but those lug nuts require a specific torque. If you tighten them too much, you can damage the wheel bearings, if not enough they can loosen over time and possibly cause the wheel to fall off or damage components. I would suggest you take it to any local autozone, or a local mechanic where they can look up the torque and properly tighten them for you. OR, you could order a torque wrench from the Amazons and do it yourself. It's quite easy!
By the way, I was a C 130 crew chief in the USAF for 13 years, so I have some cred. All the best !
Mark
14:23 Pops says "Now we're campin'" Best part 😂
When I was first looking into rvs, I was interested in that exact model. Like a hard-sided popup tent trailer. Lots of fun memories ahead!
Most beautiful Lady
Ever. Love you Kel.
Gave Fin an amazing life :).
While I loved our hybrid camper I dont regret going to full travel trailer. The tip outs are too difficult to seal to prevent water intrusion ruining your bedding or causing structural issues. Park it under some type of cover (portable garage/polebarn type structure) to keep the weather from beating your home on wheels.
Aloha. Congratulations. Looking forward to new adventures. Your parents rock, and Finley is still a goofball.
Hi Kelly. Thanks for taking us along, you're just plain old good company and Dad seems like a nice guy. I'm playing catchup on your vids due to busyness, I'll have to check out the Waterman vid soon.
I looked at the Helix matresses and might get a couple for myself and guest bedroom. I'll chk the Gator prices too.
Congrats on the camp trailer, looks to be in pretty good shape and good idea to put new tires on right away. Very good also you learned how to change the tires. It's simple but intimidating to many people. I'm not sure how many women could "break" (meaning intitial loosening) the lug nuts to spin them off. Great you were spinning off the nuts with the 4 way wrench - like a pro!
Jacking safely is also the very important part of changing tires. Making sure the jack is on solid ground or some type of wood pad (or something solid) to support the jack like you both did, good stuff. It can be tricky on a slope - dad will explain that to you I'm sure.
Have fun in the river with pop and mantente segura y bien siempre!
Always smart to have spare tires on rims and re-pack the wheel bearings before any big trip.
As you’ve done from day 1…keeping it eclectic on Kelly TV!! Your adventures are always the bright spots to my weeks!! Looking forward to this new direction Uber Woman!! 👊💐🎉🥂
Perfect size camper ❤!!! Looking forward to some camping, catch and cooking videos!
I think you will love camping in the trailer.
Congratulations for changing the tire You're not afraid to try anything You're a good woman.
Gotta always make sure tires are perfect very important, for over the road
I'm super impressed. Kelly... you changed those tires like you've done it many times before. The plumbing? Did you change those as well? You're going to love camping in that trailer. You're the perfect girl Kelly. Wish I had met someone like you in my youth. Have fun! 😊
She is a one-stop shop, kin'na Redneck Girl ! (Note: those R the best Kine) I guarandamntee You at some point in Her Life, Her Da told Her four Her Own good..... " We are not going to town to fix this " !
And, I have never met the Man. Yet, anyhow, somehow......it iI on My to do list, I must say.
Same with a new round Tuit ! 😁
Greamt idea on getting a trailer. Now you can save on your short travel stays. Finley is really looking great. Have fun Kelly. Steve
Welcome to camper life. It's the best. Especially in Florida.
I am so glad you showed us your camper!!! That was question on your last episode.... That is perfect for you! I love it and cannot wait for more episodes with the camper. Chrystina from Lakeland Florida 💕💕💕
Love watching you and your family out having fun
@ 13:19 Unless things have Changed in the Last 10 years R.V. [ water ] hoses are " White " meaning they are " Non-Toxic " !
" Garden Hoses " are said to " leach out Chemicals " from their manufacturing.
The old tyres would probably be fatigued after that length of time... Good job..😅
Thank goodness for the love of your parents.
Great little camper. Looks like dad approved 👍
(Be careful about Finley chewing plastic bottles, little pieces in his intestines can accumulate or cause blockage.)
congratulations on your first camper. From someone who does a lot of camping, get yourself a little toolbox . campers can be a constant repair project.
Get up on the roof a inspect all your seals around vents and replace/repair what you thinks needs repair. a small pin hole can cause major roof problem (thousands of dollars). I've learn from personal experience.
Love Finn!!!!!! Such a wonderful success story for an amazing friend!!
What timing, just yesterday I was wonderful when we'd see some episodes with you and your parents again. Love it. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Plus any video with Finley is awesome. Tip, invest in a good torque wrench and always use it to torque your lug nuts to the specific torque & pattern and always check the torque prior to a long trip. One plus is that in an emergency the nut can be removed easier.
Cheers from Spring Creek, Nevada
I have had many good times camping at the peace river camp ground, floating down the river and having too much fun. Now you can spend more quality time with your family and friends. Good move !
Yess, some family quality time Kelly have fun darling ❤
You go girl. I am truly impressed with your zeal and enthusiasm. Love you plenty plenty plenty.
Great seeing your dad helping you out! I lost my dad and best friend back in January to a massive stroke. Utube is important to you as well as all of us but spending time with your older family members is so much more important! U never know if that day u last saw them is the last day so say I love you EVERY TIME!
its hot wherever you are!! Always love your content.
Best of luck with the camper, enjoy!
Also… Quick shout-out to say I admire & appreciate your sharing videos hanging with your mom & pop Kelly! Just lost my old man to pancreatic cancer, and can join the chorus of people singing the cliched but unfortunately true song about:
SAYING WHAT YOU NEED TO…
And APPRECIATE THEM WHILE YOU ARE ABLE!
Your spending quality time with both of yours is a beautiful aspect of your channel! I look forward to more adventures with them in your trailer!
You are-ABSOLUTELY-living your best life O Queen of Adventure! ❤️💐💥🎉🍾🥂
Nice, very cool! Make lots of awesome memories! 😁👍🏼🌺
Hello Kelly nice home on wheels . Excellent choice love the trailer.
Cute camper! The tires were definitely old. You always want to change any tire that's 6 yrs. Old, no matter what the tread looks like. The rubber will start to detonate and crack. That beeping wasn't the refrigerator to reset was it? Love the video. 🤗
Finley camping mom and Grandpa have fun time ❤
Whadda deal you got!
Now you can take Finley Good Boy with you...all the time!
So happy for you & he's lucky you're his Mom!
Great vid Kelly, keep 'em coming!
Always look forward to them!
👍😎🤙
@ 3:23 .. Finley would say; " The work of children is play " !
Congratulations on your camper. I hope you get a ball lock for your hitch on the camper so somebody just doesn't back up and haul it off even in a campground it's worth the $25 the ball goes right up into the receiver and locks on and unless you got the key and nobody gonna move that trailer.
Hi Kelly & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Kelly & Dad & Finley & Friends Randy
Changing tires, towing, and backing up a camper using her side views. Kelly, I do believe that you are one of the few in America that could do that and make it look interesting! I guess after swimming with sharks, most other things just aren’t that intimidating!!
Finley loves it. Congrats on the camper. I've been wanting one
Looks good, looking forward to new adventures with friends, family, and of course Finley 🎉
I love your videos Kelly and Finley is so awesome !!! Thank you for bringing us along on your adventures and can't wait to see the next video !!
Great video kelly spending time with your dad doing what you both like to do outdoor adventures love the new camper ❤❤
I look forward to seeing you get back to what brought you here and that's free diving and spearfishing off the eastcoast of FL.. looking forward to the video with the Keywest waterman. He's very accomplished at his craft..
All the luxuries of home in a box on wheels ! I love it ❤ Very nice 🤗 Check the expiration date on that fire extinguisher and the correct type ? VERY IMPORTANT ! 🥰 I also saw your camper has a retractable sun shade ! WINNER, WINNER 🫠
Nice a little adventure 👍
Good buy !! I am sure this will see lots of use from you and family Kelly !! Congratulations !! ❤❤🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
REALLY GREAT TO SEE YOU ALL Dear... Great fun coming ing that camper...
Your parents are such good people! Finley is going to love the trips you take in this camper! Enjoy!
Looks good, your a pro now. Don't forget to burn off the paint from the pan. I learned the hard way.
My daughter found some spray foaming dish washing soap that works great for camping. It even works good at home. Also a cheap cordless drill make quick work for raising and lowering the stabilizer jacks. We have a Ryobi drill, a couple of Air Cannon fans, a couple of smaller fans, and a couple of lights that all run off of the same batteries.
You’ll need a water pressure relief valve. About 10 bucks at Walmart. Some places have excessive water pressure and will blow the pluming lines in the RV.
Bearing buddies are nice, freezeris iffy.have a cooler for food and drinks.worked as rv mech for 20+ yrs
Thanks Kelly. I’m love video of Kelly 👍👍👍👍
Love the camper!😀
congrats on you and your moms new purchase
We use a dewalt drill to put the leveling jacks up and down fast. Saves the knees
Recommendations to get one of those magnetic balls on a stick that you put at the end of where you put your ball and post together so why are you in your truck you can see where you're lining up to without having to keep getting out
