My first car was a 1980 mini special 1100cc, I still have it 14 years later: To say it has no tech is harsh, when it was new it was extremely advanced. It was the first car to have a transverse engine, before the mini came along car handling simply wasn't a metric. The mini used to race against jaguar mk2's which had engines in excess of three times the mini and still the mini was superior. It won the Monte Carlo rally convincingly and rewrote what makes a good rally car. All in all even though it's day is gone it's the most fun car of all my cars and one I'll probably never part with.
