FCS keylock review

I recently got a new car and for the first time don't have a traditional key that I can take out in the surf with me as both keys to the car are proximity fobs. Since keysafe style options have been around forever I figured I would get the FCS Keylock as it is advertised as having a proximity key blocker included. Without any reviews available online I took the plunge and thought I would let you guys know my thoughts.
TLDR: it didn't do the job....

Translate to English:
"If all is well, you should be able to set the key so that the door only unlocks when pressing the buttons on the key. This is disabling the key-free function. You can do this in the car's control panel on the display inside the car."

Could you secure the lock to another part of the car? Tow hitch, wheel cap, undercarriage, passenger rear door? Inevitably making the location more discrete and less proximal to the driver's door might be a better option anyway, but I take the point about the ineffective Faraday cage.

Yeah that's what I would normally do for attaching it anyway. The newer proximity key goes into sleep mode so they need to be moved to reactivate first. Passenger door and boot are activated by the key, it won't matter location once it is moved

It works as a keysafe, it just needs a better blocker
