I love the way those baby goats follow Olivia. It is like they're dogs. They are very playful. They really know that Olivia will not hurt them and that she will take care of them and protect them.
Buttercup did so well on her first milking she really stood beautifully - having 3 babies does help with milk production as they make enough milk for all the babies so only 1 baby like Willow less milk - you are making a chick shaw with the ability to tow it with the side by side - Justin told us and it has put thought into his head on how to convert his especially for pulling uphill on his place instead of doing it by hand
Good morning Lumnah family! Love watching Olivia play with the baby goats! Life is good! Congrats on Buttercup's milk production! Bet your getting ready to put a winter roof for the goats in the area by both pens!💕❤ have a great day and look forward to your next video!
What is also very nice is to see the progression of your homestead infrastructure as well as the kind and types of animals not to forget the green house and your upcoming harvest.
Buttercup did a wonderful job. Fidgety, but she did not kick as some do. So glad all the meat birds, plus one, arrived healthy looking. What luck that the birthing stall door will also hold the gate out of the way. Take Care. God Bless
It's such a pleasure watching you all interact with both your animals (and the little bird trapped in your greenhouse!) and the rest of your homestead! Thank you for sharing! :-)
Haven't commented in a while.. The homestead looks great it has come a long way over the years.. Olivia has grown up so much, such a beautiful young lady. Have a good day 🌻🌻🌻
Loving the homestead... its so relaxing at your homestead. . Doesn't seem like a rush rush feel, but a slow pace relaxing way of life. Love it! Thank you for the wonderful vlogs. Enjoying them all and getting so many ideas!!
Can't wait to see you back on the tools Al you inspired me to do some projects around the house while we are In lock down in Scotland thanks Al and family you have helped me so much over the last 12 weeks
Congrats on the excellent first time milking with Buttercup! And it's good to see the new meat birds, it'll be fui seeing what the dark tipped one looks like! What all three of. you got growing and what Ginas got cooking in the kitchen. Then there's what Al's got cooking in the shop!!!! What DOES he have cooking??? Happy trails Lumnahs!! Happy trails!! 😃😊☺🐤🐤
Wow! Go Buttercup! :D You guys have so much got cuteness going for you right now :) My guess that your next building project will either be another chicken tractor, some raised garden beds or something to do with gardening or the roof extension for the goats.
Hey Al, ever heard the phrase "Monkey see Monkey Do" just think urself of the great farming teacher and teaching the citifolk with daily repetitive tasks on the farm and skilling ur viewers to be confident to do as u do..... I say congrats and thanks for ur persistence.
2 weeks ago i dumped 40 cornish chicks in the coop. I watched and within a few minutes they all found the water . Seems like instinct tells them where it is
Your new meat hens are really healthy looking and active! Getting so much milk from her first time is a good sign! Gina your dinners always look amazing❣️
Such cute little baby chicks.they look very lively too. My guess is another chickshaw. You mentioned the other day you needed to build one for the new chicks. Buttercup did a wonderful job on her first milking....not that I know anything about it, but I do remember it was more than Willow and still is. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Good morning to you and your family, I love your videos and wake up every morning wondering what’s going on today. In the past you stored food in a walk in cooler in the basement and was wondering if you still use it? Remember you were curing some hams and prosciutto. Stay safe and keep enjoying life. God bless you all.
Newly suscribed. I'm a drafted, by a lie made by LBJ, disabled Republic of Vietnam combat veteran. I grew up on a farm near Corunna, Michigan. Great to see real courage in a real man living for his family. God speed. Eaglegards from Texas near Fort Worth...
Buttercup did great! Just started to milk our 3 NG goats. We are getting a half gallon per milking of the three! Twice a day. 1 gallon per day! Two 3 or 4th time freshener and 1 1st time freshener.
Gina, I sometimes make "stir-fry" with whatever bbq sauce I have on hand - store-bought or home-made. It's certainly not authentic, but its delicious. If your favorite bbq sauce is too thick you just add a bit of water or juice or broth. If its too runny a bit of cornstarch will thicken it up as it cooks. Thanks for all of the inspiration!
Good Monday mornin New Yolk City .... nice to see the meat birds survived the road trip. Your plants are really taking off in the high tunnel. Buttercup is prolly producing so well because she has to feed 3 kids. She did very well on the milking stand when you think that she was just introduced to that milking apparatus .... just the noise alone could have spook her .... well done. Have a great week AL, Gina & Olivia .... I still think that Moose is laying those little eggs ~8^)
Sweet and sour sauce mix all ingredients together as a slurry, pour over the stir fry and stir until becomes translucent and thickens up. * 1¾ cup 6 ounces pineapple or orange juice * 1/3 cup water * 1/3 cup white or rice vinegar * 1 tablespoons tomato purée (or 3 tablespoons of tomato ketchup) * 1/2 cup brown sugar * 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes * ¼ teaspoon salt * 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or Worcestershire sauce) * 1 tablespoon cornflour (cornstarch) Add water as necessary if it gets too thick.
Happy Anniversary Edman, hoping you and wife have many more years together with health and happiness. Today's my birthday and I always start the day with a visit to the farm.
The homestead is really looking nice! Its amazing how much it has changed in so little time! I think the next project you all are working on is probably bees!! I thought I seen a post of y'all wanting/getting bees!! I wish you all the best of luck on your plans and futur farm happenings! Thanks again for sharing!
Literally loved the video. You looked like a kid in a candy store when you opened the door to your greenhouse. L9ve the team work you all have. God bless you big
Jenna looks really nice with her hair down. Good luck with this second batch of meat birds and maybe a few more Low-tunnels for early spring planting for next season would be in order. God bless your entire family, including all the animals!
Good mauhnin Lumnah Acres! Wow! Way to go Buttercup! My egg count was 12 eggs today. Darn that quarter egg! Lol!😂 next project will be goat cover and attach gate on opposite side! Just a guess! Good looking meal there Gina. Take care Lumnahs!
Hello! Oh my how amazing everything looks in the green house ..we here in Pa. have been following your journey for a long time and are so very proud of you all...And way to go butter cup..that was more than exciting..As always Gina's supper looked amazing and too cut the toast to butter cup's milk... P.s. we love the name Ivy. She is a beauty ... and happy the boys leaving together...Just love your channel... God bless...
Love you Lumnah Acres Family how are you doing this morning ♥️ I hope you are having a wonderful day & I was guessing that there was gonna be 14 eggs in New York City ♥️ take care & enjoy your Monday afternoon or evening ♥️ Al Gina & Olivia ♥️
Buttercup is starting out to be a good milker. We had a Nigerian doe who produced a quart and a half a day. She was an awesome goat. We ended up having to cull her from the herd because she was having issues carrying her babies to term. It was sad. Looks like your meat birds are doing great. We get our Cornish cross from McMurray hatchery and we have never been disappointed. Looking forward to see what you make. You are too funny Al. Man glitter, lol. Love it. Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
I always use fresh grated ginger and some sesame oil in my stir fries in addition to the other ingredients. Also a bit of corn starch slurry to thicken the sauce.. Sometimes I add Chinese Five Spice, too. Why are you leaving out soy and/or coconut aminos?
Love the goats. We had some on our 6 acres. I'm checking my chick recipes for no coconut milk or soy. Blessings. My son n I have been watching has for ages
Al I've got two questions for you, you've got a tri colored goat (F) what line is she from ? And when will the Bee's arrive ? Keep the videos coming enjoy following your channel . May God continue to bless you and your family
Al, shortly after dirt was invented and before duct tape became the universal "fix-it " tool in everyone's tool box there was baling wire. You have a door in the barn witch you have to reach over to open because the door lock only opens from one side. I had this issue with a fence gate---SO---I drilled a small hole in my gate and fashioned a little latch pull with baling wire to lift the latch.
Well folks, Buttercup fits her name. Good producer of milk! So gentle...looks like she needed a few minutes to herself before her children's need. Lol😄
Yet Another great vidclip, Wow .... 'The Place' is looking absolutely lovely, so Green and Lush .... Buttercup .... Co much Milk fro such a small animal .... Must have been crossed with a Jersey Cow .... :-) :-) :-)

So lovely to see a family praying together. Love watching the baby goats. God bless.

Gina- a good balsamic vinegar adds sweetness & wonderful flavor. I sometimes add it to my BBQ sauce. Stir fry looks good!

Love those morning sun shine on your greenhouse. Gorgeous!
Good morning Lumnah family ☕️ sunshine and smiles from Philadelphia... have a blessed day
Gina, I use ground ginger in my sauce for stir fry.

think they are going for less sodium or gluten free, i would replace the soy sauce with rehydrating dried mushrooms and use that liquid
Saved!!
this plus some ginger
They could also use a soy sauce substitute like liquid aminos.
In my recipe similar to yours, I always use black strap molasses in place of both brown sugar and soy sauce.
Happy Anniversary Edman, hoping you and wife have many more years together with health and happiness.
Today's my birthday and I always start the day with a visit to the farm.

That is some happy little chicks. They had been on a trip !
With all that is going on in the world, your tranquility releases some of my anxiety even if for only 30 minutes it is wonderful.
Literally loved the video. You looked like a kid in a candy store when you opened the door to your greenhouse. L9ve the team work you all have. God bless you big

Good morning y’all! Buttercup is a great Milker.
another phenomenal video from the Lumnah family! Al, you inspired my husband to go buy a new Tacoma, thanks very much!
I would like to see you build a deck off the patio doors. The baby goats are just too stinking cute!
Happy beautiful Monday.... Hope all is well in your world.. Things are starting to shape up here at our little homiestead..
It’s amazing how your baby goats are growing so fast..!

Hi Al it always amazes me how your goats obligingly come in to the milking parlour and jump up on to the bench ready for you to milk them .
Loving the new polish hen who is always out. My son calls her
“Crazy hair, don’t care”
Gina don't you wish you could sometimes come up with a different recipe something fresh & light
That is the BEST name
Chicken tractor coming up. I love seeing Olivia and the baby goats hopping around the pasture. You all make me smile daily. 🐐💞🌺💖
This is my first time watching your channel. Thanks for the great content.
So glad Buttercup is a good milker.
Hahahahaha🤣 AL you’re hilarious!! “I’m Jonesin’ ............... Makin’ Man Glitter!!” Best phrase ever!! Lol
I always use fresh grated ginger and some sesame oil in my stir fries in addition to the other ingredients. Also a bit of corn starch slurry to thicken the sauce.. Sometimes I add Chinese Five Spice, too. Why are you leaving out soy and/or coconut aminos?
Gina, I use my homemade pepper jelly and some chicken broth for beef or chicken stir fries. The family loves it.
Love the goats. We had some on our 6 acres. I'm checking my chick recipes for no coconut milk or soy. Blessings. My son n I have been watching has for ages
So glad to see you drinking milk
Way to go buttercup!! God bless stay safe
Al I've got two questions for you, you've got a tri colored goat (F) what line is she from ?
And when will the Bee's arrive ? Keep the videos coming enjoy following your channel . May God continue to bless you and your family
Little P is Willow's daughter from last year.
Super cute family! I love your videos.
Love watching the animals. Thanks for uploading❤️
Gina, love the hair down. I am sure you are glad you did not have to manually milk Buttercup. Your hands would have been tired.
Congrats for the new chicks
Love watching y'all cook!
This is my easy stir fry sauce. In a small bowl add all but the corn starch, whisk thoroughly and then add the corn starch. Pour over the stir-fried ingredients and enjoy.
• 1/2 cup chicken stock
• 1/4 cup orange marmalade
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
• 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoons corn starch
A wonderful mixed day. So pleased Buttercup was good for you, and that she's produced so much milk. For a maiden milking, that was pretty amazing.
Can't wait to see what that extra chick is, and if it's female will it go in with the other layers? As for the meat birds already in the chicken tractors, they're clearing that bit of pasture beautifully.
I'm guessing the project is something to do with that covered outdoor area for the barn you talked about. The separation gate looks to be working well.
The greenhouse seems to be thriving with the watering system you installed. I am looking forward to seeing how that continues to grow, as well as how you're going to raise and lower the sides.
The pigs are always entertaining, and they're slowly getting through that ground.
I have been following that long. I love you guys so much. You are a huge blessing to me and my family. My Prayers for you and your family peace and blessing in this trying time. Prosperity and abundance and protection for your farm. God bless Jesus Christ thank you for your grace
Hi Gina, earlier I posted about one of your stir fry meals that I noticed you used sesame oil that was not the toasted version that Asian recipes call for. If you try it you will notice a huge difference in the aroma and it will immediately remind you of stir fry from an oriental restaurant.
I also use hoisin sauce in my stir frys. Ginger root is another good ingredient.
Best of luck!
Al, get ready for some winter weather. It was 34 degrees this morning w/SNOW on the mountain! Also going to be COLD tonight @ 30 degrees, so we are covering up our sweet corn and squash. :( Supposed to be 80 degrees by Thursday, then back into the 50's for the rest of the week. Can you say CRAZY weather??!!
Looks like material for a new chicken tractor you can move with the ATV.
A quart from a goat seems pretty impressive! But what do I know, I've only had German Shepherds and they are a little testy until the pups are weaned 😊
It's good to see your daughter running around for exercise. Children need physical activity, especially with schools closed. Keep her active, perhaps 10 minutes of PT each day.
love life!!! such a sweet and nice video. Buttercup Bravo. Just wanted to ask you, the food for the baby chicks is different than the one you gave them before. The other one was more like a "powder", this one looks "chunky"... is there a special reason? Just curious that is all. Love you wonderful family, thank you for sharing all this love, sun and happiness.
A few tips on your stir fry that you can do is first use sesame oil to fry everything in. It has an incredible flavor. Also you can use fresh or dry garlic and ginger. You can try adding rice vinegar and also use molasses to add a deeper flavor and sweetness.
