Good vid mate. Yeah im in 2 or 3 minds as to how/what to get.... 1) i can get the model 3 std for bit cheaper...BUT....only 491kms. Going off your video, that may mean only around 400 kms really. 2) i was thinking about the long range (but more $$$), at 600 kms sounds really good, but again going off your video, that may only be 500 kms. 3) The Y (more $$$) states 450 kms and others are saying they get around 420 to 430 kms. ????....it seems the Y is more realistic ....but im getting so confused....SIGH....see if they bring out the new CATL battery next year i spose. Furthermore, i hear a mate saying his model 3 is too low to the ground and he has scraped it a bit....is that what you find??? Also i wonder what size tyre you have? is the 19 inch, which is a bit higher off ground, but does not come with so called "aero dynamic" wheel covers....other videos suggest this may subtract 10% off range, but im not sure about that....anyways looking forward to your next videos....cheers.....CAM
Thanks Cam, glad you enjoyed the video. I have a whole lot more content coming out which will provide more insight to this. I found myself hardly ever letting the car get low on charge, I honestly think that with my trip to Hobart and back (6400km or approx 4000 miles) that I could have done it efficiently on the RWD model 3, due to how cautious I was. I believe that with the LFP Batteries being able to charge all the time to 100% is a huge advantage and something that serves a great benefit. I am loving our model 3 LR version, loving it. I was lucky that I paid a fair lower price than what is advertised now. I placed my order in January and was locked in for the cheaper price. I will go through this in another video as well. I am a bigger guy and getting in and out of the lower car makes me want to lose weight for more comfort, lol. After owning the Model 3 LR i believe I could be happy with the RWD. The mode Y wasn’t available for me when I ordered, I am booking in for a test drive in the new year, however, I still think that I would take the Model 3 at this stage. My Stats app says I would have saved approx $24 if I had the Aero wheels, so for me, it isn’t worth it, I would go the 19” Sports wheels every day of the week. I’ll get mine powder coated black in the new year as well. Thanks for the message, I hope this helps with you 2 to 3 minds… or have I just caused more confusion. lol Regards, Dan.
