  • Pineapple Dream Dessert || No Bake Pineapple Dessert Recipe - RKC
    Pineapple dream dessert is one of my family’s favorite one. Very easy to make and it’s perfect for any gatherings. You just need Cream cheese, melted butter, crushed pineapple, whipped cream and graham crackers. Must try!
    Ingredients
    Crust:
    * 2 1/2 cups graham crumbs, 2 sleeves
    * 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    Layers:
    * 2 cups powdered sugar, adjust to your taste
    * 8 oz cream cheese softened
    * 8 oz Cool Whip or 1 cup heavy cream
    * 20 oz crushed pineapple drained well
    Instructions
    * First crush the graham crackers in a food processor or you can use a rolling pin as well.
    * Melt butter in the microwave or stove and allow to cool. Combine the crumbs and the melted butter and toss together until incorporated. Press 2 cups of the crumb mixture firmly into an 9×13 dish and let it chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
    * Beat the cream cheese first, and add the powdered sugar one cup at a time until incorporated. Increase the speed and beat well for a minute or so. Add half of the drained pineapple and stir in with a spatula. Spread the cream cheese and pineapple mixture over the crust.
    * Fold the remaining pineapple into the Cool Whip and spread on top of the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle the remaining graham cracker crumb mixture on top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

    I make a version of this called pineapple cheesecake. Graham crumb base and topping, but the filling is a single layer of cream cheese, sugar, crushed pineapple, whipped cream and pineapple jello mixed together (the jello is cool but not set when added to the other ingredients. It will set up the filling like a firm mousse once completely chilled). This is my favorite dessert recipe handed down from my mother. You can switch up the ingredients however you like. For example, I've also made chocolate crumb crust with raspberry jello and crushed raspberries, ginger snap crust with lemon jello and crushed blueberries and vanilla wafer crust with peach jello and mashed peaches.

    My family has eaten this since I was a little boy in the 1960s. We called it "Ice Box Cake" and we loved it. In fact, my brother STILL eats this today every year for his birthday. Thank you, Rehana, for this wonderful video. Oh, and seeing a couple of the comments, yes, this is terrific with some toasted coconut on top!!!

      Hi Dorothy Can you please explain about how to use the Jello in the recipe 🎂 pineapple is my favorite fruit

    • @dorothylee48
      @dorothylee48 2 года назад

      @@melanienease9008 Hi I am just now seeing your message after 12 midnight getting ready for bed, but the recipe is real simple if you've ever made a strawberry pretzel salad it is similar to that but only instead of strawberries and pretzels in the salad I use crushed pineapple pineapple gelatin and crushed graham crackers and you have to mix the crushed graham crackers with melted butter to hold the graham crackers together just like when you make a cheesecake after you make your graham cracker crust place your graham cracker crumbs in a baking dish and bake for for about 10 to 12 minutes in a 350° oven remove it from the oven when it's done set it aside so that it could cool completely down
      Now get you a container of Cool whip to 8 oz packs of Philadelphia cream cheese make sure the cream cheese is really soft not melted but soft so that you can mix it together with your Cool whip and a mixing bowl then you add a teaspoon of vanilla extract you whip them together until it gets nice and fluffy and after your graham crackers are totally cool off you spread the whip cream cheese and Cool whip mixture over top of the graham cracker crust set it in the refrigerator so that it can be nice and chilled while you're waiting for that to get chilled make your pineapple gelatin and your crushed pineapples mix them together then set them in the refrigerator so they can get a soft gel set they need to be a soft gel set so you can pour it over top of the whip cream mixture that's already in the pan with the graham crackers once you pour the gelatin and pineapples over the whipped cream mixture spread it out and add some more whipped cream mixture over top of that jello depending on how many layers you want you just keep layering it just as though you were making a banana pudding it's real simple I might have made this complicated for you but I hope you can understand my directions I'm sorry the hour is very late and I'm tired and sleepy so I just wanted to get this all to you and I do hope you try it and let me know how it turned out oh yes one more thing let your whipped cream mixture be the last topping that you put on that should be on the top and then you can sprinkle some crush nuts over that or some crushed graham cracker crumbs and then presto you're done and then you let it get nice and cold and you'll be able to cut it scoop it out however you want to do it okay that's it and have a good night and God bless you

    I would still bake the crust and let it cool completely before proceeding with the recipe. The crust would hold together better instead of being so crumbly.
