I'm not big on Zebrahead but I give them credit for not selling out like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and other bands that change their sound and forget what got them to the dance in the first place, listen to this then The Anthem, there's like a ten year gap in between they remain the same, then listen to Fall Out Boy I Don't Care, and after listen to Uma Thurman complete different bullshit and that's only like a 5 year gap, Zebrahead remain true to their roots and in this day and age you must respect them for that
Spot on, you can tell the bands that truly are in it to create good music for their fans and those that are primarilly chasing the money. Foo Fighters, Sum 41, Zebrahead, All Time Low, New Found Glory... they're still going with new albums that are the same style as when they first started. Props to them!
I mean, zebraheads style definitely evolves from album to album (waste of mind vs mfzb. thats a heck of a change.) and even more so when matty replaced justin, but the soul is still the same. the difference between zh and other bands is that they dont feel the need to poppify their sound to appeal to the mainstream more and they dont feel like they have to fit in with 2017 music to survive because they know they already have us as a loyal fanbase.
Zebrahead is actually devoted to the punk scene, which I find extremely admirable. However, I don't think they stuck with their roots. They used to be more funk/hip hop influenced and they definetely moved in a more poppy punk/ska direction once Matty joined
Saw them the other night in Manchester.. Never really heard of them before but really liked them a lot! Great gig with them, Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake.

I don't have any problems adding something new as long as they still have the original sound that made them sound so great
