Lenny Kravitz is such an inspiration. Not just as a musician but a person. The guy is 60 years old yet he is still physically and mentally fit. Black Velveteen is one my favourite songs of his and it's a nice surprise that the band played it live.

Hear to the 'yeeh yeeh'. There you hear it is not playback. Those yeeh's are much different on the record. I've bin at this concert. He has two background singers on stage. Lenny is a trained musician and an extremely good singer. He is not a punk rocker. He is a gospel rocker with musical education. Otherwise he would not be able to write and produce a lot of his songs just by himself. I assume they use a very light live pitch correction as many do these days along a very good compression. On Black Velveteen you can also hear a chorus effect that sounds slightly different then on the record.
I was at the concert. He sang live and it was great. Probably also bacause its his first concert of the tour. Hes well recovered and full of energie. Also the bassist is to the left. Hes south korean and his name is the wolf.
