Thanks for doing this! I was going to do the same thing. Now I'm going to see whatever it is they might have around the Ashburn station.

Thank you for wandering around northern Virginia. Makes me feel sad to see lots of trees been cutting down for new development etc...I miss living there.

The areas around the metro stations certainly leave something to be desired in terms of green space. Someone else left a comment for me to revisit these places in springtime, hopefully the trees will have some leaves and the grass will be green. Thank you for watching!

Looks kind of barren and all the buildings look the same - like dry, dark colored blocks. The playground looks dreary as there are no beautiful trees or shade around. the kids are not going to like playing on hot metal or hot plastic when the sun burns down on them. The entire place lacks personality, doesn't have the feel of warmth. It looks like a typical corporate prison where there buildings. You can't call any of those "apartments" , homes. They are blocks. Now, maybe inside it looks nice. Without trees and flowers around the grounds, it looks awful. Maybe you need to film again in the Spring. It looks bad, "Wander..." and I know from a friend how EXPENSIVE IT REALLY IS, so its NOT attractive. yeah, you live near the "Metro" to going to work at your career. But it can't be a lot of fun for a wife or girlfriend that stays at home and takes care of two children. God forbid you want to walk the dog. What? he is going to get excited over an area that has no trees or flowers no where to explore or hunt. There is no real "yard" for the homes. Thank god I moved out of that area in 2010.

Omg, do they actually make pedestrians walk through a wooded area just to get to the metro??? It’s barren in the daytime. I can imagine just how creepy that wooded area becomes after dark. Folks, please be careful and just get a ride home from the train station, because WMATA doesn’t quite get it…

I thought the wooded walk was very strange as well. Filming this video made me a little uncomfortable and I filmed in broad daylight. It would be weird walking this walk in the dark alone. Other areas around this metro station aren't as barren, but I wanted people to know what to expect if coming from the direction I was while filming. Thank you so much for watching!
