Acid Bath at a bingo parlor in South Carolina (just across the bridge from Savannah, GA). The best I recall it was 1996... Tank 18, The Spo-Its, Acid Bath, D.R.I.
The cool thing about them is that the riffs and everything aren’t super complex, but the way the songs are structured with all the tempo changes and the drumming that drives it all is what makes Acid Bath stand out.
The life of this band was probably one more album. Which would have probably been some jumble of the ideas that we got on the Agents S/T and early Goatwhore, which could have been a masterpiece, who knows. But it also would mean sacrificing the excellent Agents of Oblivion S/T.
It's incredible that he can scream like that and then go seamlessly in and out of singing and everything is still perfect. The average man can only scream so much before his voice turns to dogshit. It's also crazy to see that huge voice come from such a little dude, and while he masturbates himself, no less. Very impressive.

Acid Bath were years ahead of their time. So incredibly sick! I am one of the lucky ones to see them several times live. They were awesome live. Long Live Acid Bath!
Paraphrasing a conversation a friend of mine had with Sammy at a recent Goatwhore show: "I heard you guys were working on a 'reunion' without Dax, is that happening?" Sammy: "Ahhh I can't tell you anything about that." That's not a denial. It's the only hope I have right now. I've seen Dax live and he said basically no chance he'd ever be interested in it. He still signed all my Acid Bath stuff, which was really nice; and he is still a really good performer.
Remember seeing this tour and how D.R.I. clearly knew the drill by then. The second Acid Bath were done they were on stage and playing their 'hit' within three minutes. Too late, the crowd was gone.

Don’t know if I’d had gone to this concert though, but it’s up to taste & interest.
not gonna lie, this has it's own unreplicable style and atmosphere, but I would kill for a clean studio recording remaster of this with a higher production, their sound makes them unique, yet I feel like I'm not taking advantage of my audio equipment everytime I listen to them.

Lyrics:
Across your face
I see what you are
You want to kill the sun
Blot out the stars
I know you, you're nothing
You're so small
You're fucking nothing
Nothing at all
The sun burns on
It reminds me of you
The slit wrists of the sky
Bleeding into the blue
We twist beneath forever
Cause do you know what you've done
Ants in the afterbirth
We're slugs under the sun
I could not wake the dead man dreaming
Acid party, murder at the late show
Mutate me and breed yourselves a savior
I could not kill the dead man screaming
Eat my dead cock
Eat my dead cock
I have fallen deep in love with the sky
Fragments of a sunbeam glaring on a kitchen knife
Leaves will fall as everything must follow
Kill your idol, come on, jump into the void
Eat my cold shit
Everybody whispers where birds fall dead
I smell the yellow sickness churning inside your head
Wiping flecks of foam, twisting with rabies
Bloody, we run through these fields of dead daisies
How can I ever
Make you know what you've done
Ants in the afterbirth
We're slugs under the sun
I have fallen in love with the sky
Fragments of sunbeam glaring on a kitchen knife
