@@avacado4910 Cause it's WAY too much to be considered "easy". Too many things I'd need to get that I don't have just to make some cards that I can buy for cheaper.
Easy for the rare breed of human that simultaniously has all the art supplies you could ever need and keeps then organized enough to not explode every time they try to find a pen.
This is not realy complicated, so yeah. You could do all the things without any of the branded tools. Like, just draw a cute goose, cut it out with scissors? Etc.
Its rather not definitions of easy, but different levels of affinity to truth. This guy can probably say nothing but lies. I bet his wife does not know his real name.
I mean, if without those "Mr. Fancypants" stamps, cutter & blower, it would be definitely hard too. So technically, with those tools, he can call it easy lol
Easy if you have all the tools yeah. Just like it's Easy for me to fabricate an entire flatbed for my truck...because I have a mobile workshop that cost more than the truck it's mounted to.
@@bigyessuccess4525 My point is that it's EASY for the video creator who has all those card-making tools, just like it's easy for me to make something most people can't...because I have all the tools.
People are complaining about easy but I'm here to complain about DIY. No one just has all of this materials at home or even the machines he uses, getting them would probably cost hundreds of dollars
Yes, some of us do have all these materials at home. It's not a flex, just saying when you're a crafter/cardmaker, they accumulate quite rapidly. Though to be fair, I got 90% of what I have before the economy went to sh*t, thankfully. Yeah, at least a couple hundred, but once you have the inks, they can be used for a LONG time, and paper can go quite far when you buy it by the ream. It's a big investment at first if you want "all the things" at the start, but you can do a LOT with just a couple stamps and a couple colors of ink, some paper and a pair of scissors. You don't "need" the fancy dies and die cutting machine, they just make it easier/faster. Often you can find some pretty good crafting finds at Goodwill or thrift stores or even Ebay for people downsizing their stash if you want supplies without breaking the bank.
@@moosedawg71 Ok but accumulating that much craft supply and equipment is an effort, there's nothing easy about it. And making cards like this isn't feasible for 99% of the population. This should actually make you proud as a crafter, what you do is unique and not an easy thing.
@@lsamoa Lol, I wish accumulating it WAS more of an effort TBH; it's rather TOO easy to accumulate. Agreed, it's not always "easy" to create, most of us have brutal internal critics, but I wouldn't sell 99% of the population short. used to do this stuff all the time with my mom, the embossing part is really fun, and pressing out fresh cuts with the hand crank cricut was super satisfying, the cut-dies have blades embedded in foam to make for safer handling, the foam compresses to cut paper or cardstock. had a ton of stamps and ink, too. we'd make cards instead of buying them.

It's called embossing powder. It comes in many colours, styles and 3 thicknesses 😂 that being said a clear will go over any pigment ink and make it glossy. For details like this you want fine or regular. The ultra thick is for large projects and doesn't pick up fine detail very well.
@@artycraftyalchemy Cool, thank you so much for the info! Does it naturally adhere directly to the wet ink or do you need to add some kind of adhesive first?
@@secretforreddit It will naturally adhere to Pigment inks but not most dye inks. You can also buy a clear embossing ink pad, it is a very sticky pad and the embossing powder adheres to this very well. There are many techniques using embossing powders but if you have pigment ink pads and clear it's a great way to start. Oh and don't forget a heat tool to heat it up and turn it from powder to the glossy goodness! If you have regular due inks and a stamp platform you can stamp in dye ink first, clean the stamp and then with the embossing pad (I still find the versamark brand one the best I've tried but there are others that are good, I just haven't tried them yet) restamp in the same place then add the powder. The most useful colours are clear, black, white and Metallica like gold, silver etc. It all really depends on what you already have and where you want to start! I use versamark pad or marker. The veramark marker is great if you want to draw your own design.
