Lil Wayne is a legend and as more time goes by it’s clear that people are starting to appreciate him for who he is. I remember in 🇬🇧 high school and we had posters of Cash Money from the Source in our art folders and on our bedroom wall. Nah it’s the opposite. The reason he needs them to write his lyrics before he performs, besides changing his track list is because he moves on to the next song and doesn’t dwell on it much after.
When he says he doesn’t write he really means it but it isn’t like freestyling. It’s the same process you or I would go thru adding line for line until we are done except we would commit to paper then get in the booth while he commits to memory then jumps in the booth but by no means is it “on the spot” , “say it as fast as you think it” , “freestyling” type of thing either
