suggestion: thresh mid. shiv into ap is super fun. electrocute for 1 shot potential and fleet for sustain are 2 good runes! really hope you give it a try before shiv gets nerfed :3

Maybe you could play champions that are kinda off meta to you like, talon, yassuo or zed, since its not something we usually see you play could get people interested and makes possible to climb higher when it gets impossible with the weird mid champions.

I think you can also Q flash to make the Q undodgable because it cancels the first part of the animation if i remember correctly.
