October 09 2023 - Hollyoaks - James & Ste

Cheryl accuses James of having Brent beaten up so he would confess to Rayne's murder. He denies it to her and denies it again to Ste. Lucas is listening in and when Ste leaves, James makes a call to Norma - who arranged the attack on Brent - making arrangements to meet to pay her. When he hands over the money, Lucas records their conversation and then, when James catches Lucas bunking off school and threatens to tell Ste, Lucas tells James what he's got recorded on his phone. Ste and Peri discuss Brent's confession and while they're talking, Ste gets a call from the school saying Lucas hasn't turned up. When he gets home, James covers for Lucas and then, once Ste has left the room, James gives Lucas some new trainers, telling him that it's a once only thing and to delete the recording he made. Lucas does delete it, but later retrieves the file, texting Dillon that he can get him some new trainers too...

What age is Lucas meant to be he looks 23 or something isn't he meant to be younger than Ste's daughter

Lucas was born in April 2009 so he's meant to be 14, but he is played by an 18-year-old so they could cover more mature topics. I guess it's not as bad as most American shows where teens are played by literal 30-year-olds? Plus, at least he is acting his age in the show
