Sarah said yes, Rob said no. I don't know what they offered him, but he is playing sn 40.

Very much enjoying this channel. Recently got back into Survivor after watching the first 9 seasons live when they aired. Going back and trying to rewatch them all from scratch now and this channel really amplifies my interest in that. Well made videos, great story telling, awesome stuff.

I didn't like him at first either. I loved watching him grow and change in every way. Really love and respect him now. ❤ My best goes out to him, Amber and their 4 girls.
The execution of his strategy was a bit sloppier than subsequent seasons, but one underrated aspect to me between this season and future ones is him taking control of the immunity challenges. In Marquesas, he really only lead the challenge where he navigated the Roto tribe through the maze that ultimately lead to Gina getting voted off. In his future seasons, he became arguably the most dominant pre-merge challenge competitor Survivor has seen with his strength, clutch puzzle solving abilities, and ability to strategize and lead his tribemates. He went into the merge in All-Stars and Redemption Island with the numbers and would have likely had the numbers in Heroes vs Villains had Tyson not voted himself out. When he has numbers at the merge, he is virtually unstoppable since he keeps his alliance pretty airtight and is among the strongest individual immunity threats (I believe he won 4 in both All-Stars & RI).
That is a solid observation. I bet what happened to him in Marquesas taught him how important numbers are pre-merge. In Marquesas, he was satisfied with his tribe losing numbers as long as he had control over the small number (1 or 2 players) at his side. In Marquesas, he met his true adversary, John, and John had him because John had the numbers. Rob learned these lessons.
Funny how on paper it’s quite relatable to Russel in Samoa. A guy who joins the tribe, takes out any who oppose him, rules by fear, controls a weak dud tribe, tries to make the group cannabalize themselves for the first vote that he’s outnumbered. He uses Sarah like Russell uses Natalie however can’t hold onto her as long as he does. They also both fit the “Mafioso” Archtype (survivor reddit detailing all player’s)

Rob and Tyson are two of survivors greatest success stories. They were so damn interesting and fun to watch that they brought them back, regardless of them not making it very far in their first seasons. They then went on to win in the future. I hope we see a similar pattern with someone like Devens, who in my opinion is one of the more interesting characters as of late. (Even though he made it much further his first go). I think they expected this with someone like Zeke... but it can’t be everyone haha.
Unpopular opinion but it honestly took like 3 or 4 times of Rob playing for me to appreciate or even like him. To me, He always came off as suuuch a skeazeball in Marquesas. 😂 But, to his credit, his "he's a fruitloop" comment about Peter is a daily quote in my family since it was aired. 😂
I LOVE Ozzy and Boston Rob. I pray that NO ONE from the Hantz family ever sets foot on this show again. I don't think Jeff wants to see them either, and thankfully he has some say-so about it.
I think people were quiet too hard on Rob. He was young and still had to grow up. And it was so amazing seeing him here and in later seasons + TAR.. He has grown a lot and people should give him some slack. He and Amber did each other good and still do.. as if we were all perfect when we were younger lol
@@OnceUponAnIsland That's what happens when the producers and editors are predominantly male, seasons where the winner is female are told from the perspective of the men they supposedly screw over.
@@1UPMushroom You can still tell a story from her point of view, her being UTR in the game doesn't mean she didn't give any confessionals about her strategy. You also can't deny that most female winners' stories are told in relation to other players, Tina's win is the story of how Colby lost, Sandra's win was the story of how she avenged Rupert and Natalie with Jeremy. Aside from Kim, it's rarely about them just being good at the game.
I remember watching this back in the day and loving Rob & Sean and wishing they would roll to the end, but I totally forgot how much he disliked and basically did not respect Vecepia's game play. Makes sense because she is the anti-Rob in her gameplay, but I totally forgot how much he disliked her.
I think Rob was robbed in All Stars so I have no issue with RI whether it was set up or not 😭 It was entertaining to watch because I think he’s entertaining on screen. 🤷🏽♀️
Idk I don't always go by screentime to guess who is sticking around. For one.. Rob isn't exactly my fav but he IS one of the most attractive (if not, THE most lol) people who've ever played Survivor. Also.. sometimes if someone is particularly funny or sneaky or something, they give them some extra time before they are kicked off. Idk I've been actively looking for a pattern with the screen time and so far there actually isn't one lol
4:49 I just watched this season (it’s the earliest one I’ve watched as of now)- this part specifically annoyed me. If I remember correctly, Hunter says “well you could be working on getting wood for the fire. Luxury items come later.” (or along those lines) and I’m like, bro, what part of catching a chicken was so “luxury”? Rob was literally chasing down food; Hunter makes it sound like he was out sleeping on the beach or something. Felt like he just wanted to tell Rob what to do.
He was such a frigging jerk the first two seasons of Survivor (especially with his passive aggressive obnoxious douchebag question to John "are you gay dude"). Maybe it was his youthful ignorance, but he was 25 and yet he was mouthing off like a punkish 15 year old in some of his confessional interviews. I think he grew a lot after becoming a father.
Your lower eyelids have 2 small holes that catch tears. Eyes water all day to stay most. The small hole are like a drain. When the holes are too small, you have watery eyes most of the time. If they're too big, you have dry eyes. My optometrist taught me that. Mine are too big, my sister's are too small.
Yes! I still hate Season 7 of TaR.. he was robbed and Uchenna saying in season 11 that Rob Is a good player but ain’t able to beat him and Joyce when it comes down to it makes me angry lol

Once Upon An Island They're very well done. I'm so impressed I'll watch them all. And looking forward to Epic Russell Hantz. Would be awesome if he ever plays again like in a legends season so we could compare how he played then to how he plays now. And hopefully he wins it. Anyway your vids are cool. Great work!
Redemption Island was unreal. Phillip was hilarious and so damn funny. I love that dude. But Boston Rob?! Holy shit. He ran the table like nothing we have ever seen. He made this season my favorite by far. He is so fucking smart man. Unreal. Boston Rob took the game to a Michael Jordan level. And having Phillip in the whole season was hilarious. It really was the perfect season. I hated Rob in All Stars cause I liked Rupert more, and was frustrated by the fact no one listened to Shi Ann to take Rob and Amber out while they had the numbers. It was glaringly obvious it would be Rob & Amber as the final 2 and the fact that Jenna and Rupert couldn't see that was pitiful. In Redemption Island though, he went so far above and beyond what it means to "play the game" that you can't not respect it. He was truly a dominant mob boss with all the blindsides and always thinking 5 steps ahead of everyone. It was so amazing to see play out start to finish. Still blows me away to think about it. Phillip was the icing on the cake though. I wish him well in life. That was so awesome. LMFAO. The way he busted out Kristina at the first Tribal Council was just amazing. Redemption Island was the best season of Survivor in my opinion. Hands down.
I know it was the Patreons' decision to have Rob have a video from his Marquesas season, but I would've personally found it a lot better to have Rob save his video for All Stars as he made an overall bigger impact on that season. I think Sean, the one time player from Marquesas, should've taken Rob's place for the Marquesas videos as he made a much bigger impact that season than Rob who didn't even make the jury.
@@OnceUponAnIsland I was just disappointed Sean didn't get his own video for his one and only season and Rob got one in the season he made the least impact. Sean imo was one of the best Marquesas contestants.

First of all this video is great! I basically agree with most of your opinions from this. Don't you think voting off Hunter was a bad idea? By doing that he totally lost Gina (which was obvious) so he was left with only 4 votes and still 3 IC before merge. So he lost number and made his tribe wekaer. Instead he could vote off Sean.. then he could keep Vecepia loyal (she was more pragmatic than Gina), keep bigger chance to make the merge with numbers (Hunter beats Sean hundred times in challanges) and still keep control. I know it would not be in his style but in my opinion it was big mistake. His confessionals were very funny! Like you siad he was too agressive, strategically I wouldn't admire him after this season. But it seems like he's got potential ;)
Cut to 3 tries later against all newbie cast and he finally wins. I’m sorry Jeff I do not believe that makes him one of the best at survivor. He’s just a type a, controlling guy
I think Rob was ahead of his time strategically as far as the social game. He definitely left his mark at the time. I just remember people thinking he wasn't worthy of being on All-Stars (which is BS) Amber and Alicia were the unworthy ones for season 8. So essentially Amber lucked out HUGE and the rest of her life is history. Love your content buddy, cant say I can disagree with your assessments so far! 👍

That was fantastic, I love that dude
the john and rob rivalry was fun to watch. it's a shame they never brought john back. he can obviously play this game as its meant to.
Wait it’s already been 30 minutes?
Leave it to the Boston guy to give the best lines and be a big flirt. Sounds like my uncle Rick from Quincy.
My favorite survivor player love u rob😘💕
I LOVE Ozzy and Boston Rob. I pray that NO ONE from the Hantz family ever sets foot on this show again. I don't think Jeff wants to see them either, and thankfully he has some say-so about it.
They really should have brought back that nasty eating challenge for WAW
what did the audience though of Rob when the season aired? Was he popular?
I think people were quiet too hard on Rob. He was young and still had to grow up. And it was so amazing seeing him here and in later seasons + TAR.. He has grown a lot and people should give him some slack. He and Amber did each other good and still do.. as if we were all perfect when we were younger lol
Love, love, love Rob 💕
Its funny how the winner wasnt any of the 4 main roles
Same with Australian Outback and it will be the same with Amazon.
@@OnceUponAnIsland That's what happens when the producers and editors are predominantly male, seasons where the winner is female are told from the perspective of the men they supposedly screw over.
@@stitchcastle But Vecepia's game was super UTR and Rob's game was super aggressive
Plus, Rob was more of a character in S4
@@1UPMushroom You can still tell a story from her point of view, her being UTR in the game doesn't mean she didn't give any confessionals about her strategy. You also can't deny that most female winners' stories are told in relation to other players, Tina's win is the story of how Colby lost, Sandra's win was the story of how she avenged Rupert and Natalie with Jeremy. Aside from Kim, it's rarely about them just being good at the game.
stitchcastle that probably means they weren’t that good besides Kim she’s the queen
I feel like the subtle clue things with people showing up when you say “rooting for someone, and against someone else” is interesting
"I mean, he's a fruit loop" 5:47
Rob is so hot
Imagine if Sarah was around longer and Rob fell for her. We might have Sob instead of Romber. Yuck!
Great video it's gonna do really well!
I remember watching this back in the day and loving Rob & Sean and wishing they would roll to the end, but I totally forgot how much he disliked and basically did not respect Vecepia's game play. Makes sense because she is the anti-Rob in her gameplay, but I totally forgot how much he disliked her.
I love Rob so much!
Really really want one for the other rob seasons!
Love Rob❤️
The goat 🐐
I think Rob was robbed in All Stars so I have no issue with RI whether it was set up or not 😭 It was entertaining to watch because I think he’s entertaining on screen. 🤷🏽♀️
Rob is always entertaining.
@Cream City Chocoholic rob is my fav player all time. Tony won an all winner season that tough.you gotta have him #1.
If Im guessing right, Thailand will come up shortly. Im thinking we get vids on Brian, Shii-Ann, and MAYBE Ghandia
I can’t wait for the other Rob in the Amazon
The Rob that sucks. His words not mine lol
Once Upon An Island I see you’ve watched the Rob C podcast episode where Boston Rob comes on lol I remember him saying that now
4:49 I just watched this season (it’s the earliest one I’ve watched as of now)- this part specifically annoyed me.
The holes thing isn't wrong, apparently there's quite a lot, i mean if you think about it there's a hole to allow the neck to connect the head
When Rob looses the eating one he cried for a sec.
he wasn't crying cause he lost. those were the tears of someone who been gagging and choking.
Could you please do more Rob videos? I'd love to see ones about him in All Stars and his masterpiece game, season 22.
There will definitely be more Rob videos.
Great! I will subscribe and hope to see them in the not too distant future :)
Rob was already in HvV when he played for the first time
Boston Rob is the best overall player ever.
Yes! I still hate Season 7 of TaR.. he was robbed and Uchenna saying in season 11 that Rob Is a good player but ain’t able to beat him and Joyce when it comes down to it makes me angry lol
I know its a long stretch, but many old school players listed The Demise of John Carroll as one of the best episodes ever, when the underdogs came together and the series of events leading up
Also please do Kathy's I will DM it to her
These recaps are really excellent. Are you going to do Russell's video soon? I cannot wait to see it.
Thank you, I am going through the seasons chronologically. But Russells is going to be massive.
Great work!
What’s the song u use at the very beginning
"Tribal Affair" on the RUclips audio library. All songs come from there. ruclips.net/user/audiolibrarymusic?nv=1
Hands down.
Can you do one of these on "Chaos Kass"? 😂
The patrons pick who I make stories about :)
Cant wait for Cook Islands! Great channel
Boston Rob is a great player
I know it was the Patreons' decision to have Rob have a video from his Marquesas season, but I would've personally found it a lot better to have Rob save his video for All Stars as he made an overall bigger impact on that season. I think Sean, the one time player from Marquesas, should've taken Rob's place for the Marquesas videos as he made a much bigger impact that season than Rob who didn't even make the jury.
Who's to say he won't get story videos from other seasons? There is no limit to the number of story videos a player can have.
@@OnceUponAnIsland I was just disappointed Sean didn't get his own video for his one and only season and Rob got one in the season he made the least impact. Sean imo was one of the best Marquesas contestants.
@@um773 Patrons vote for the stories. There is a goal on the Patreon that when we reach 100 patrons, I will go back and do 3 stories from seasons we have past and let the patrons pick which 3 stories they are.
@@OnceUponAnIsland Yeah that's true. This is still a GREAT video though I have to say!
Boston Rob, best player in Survivor history!
Crazy that as big as a player on his first season he didn't even make the merge
he did make the merge... dumbass
Lots of pretty scenes in this. Guess it would be a good vacation with good food and water, Bug Off a good bed and mosquito net.
Im glad he ended up with Amber and not this one...
Could you imagine? Lol
I'm glad Coach or Phillip never won. Oh my gosh.
Rob sure was hot.
Yass Rob! My fav!!
Cut to 3 tries later against all newbie cast and he finally wins. I’m sorry Jeff I do not believe that makes him one of the best at survivor. He’s just a type a, controlling guy
Whats with the "villain" and "smart" thing?
01:33, 29:16, 30:05
8:07 that dap up was clean af
ik i replayed it like 4 times
What do you think of this first incarnation of The Robfather?
Great channel watching the video later , are you aiming to do every single season eventually
@@speedforcetravibear4640 I am going through the seasons chronologically :)
I think Rob was ahead of his time strategically as far as the social game. He definitely left his mark at the time. I just remember people thinking he wasn't worthy of being on All-Stars (which is BS)
Amber and Alicia were the unworthy ones for season 8. So essentially Amber lucked out HUGE and the rest of her life is history.
Love your content buddy, cant say I can disagree with your assessments so far! 👍
Benjamin Adams not here to hate on Alicia but what did she do to be on Season 8? Maybe missed her season or don’t remember her...
@@ColbyBumingtonAll she did on season 2 was get into a fight with Kimmi about the chickens SMH. That's not "all-stars" I remember reading that Helen & Ken from Survior5: Thailand were alternates.
