As a person who rides enduro, the husky u showed and that type of bikes do not need that much maintenence as u think. We fuck them up in the mud and by falling a lot and can do lot of hours without rebuilding. The ones that need rebuilding are usually 2t. And by the way ducati have started to build a 450 mx bike, they are testing it at competitions rn
Dude I can't believe I heard you say that - "technology just slows you down - it sucks!" I couldn't agree more. ☺ Btw you should definately get a proper supermoto like that husky - I've owned quite a few now and they are amazing fun! 👍
Dude I love how you are being recognized by such big fans who love to meet you! Would love to meet you someday man. That jacket looks fire too def makes the biker vibe even more!
Much as I'd love to see you on a Gsxr, if you're really looking for a fun/comfort bike, the R9 really is the better option. You get traction control, ABS, Wheelie control, and all the other tech goodies that give you more room for hooliganing. It dulls the danger factor. The R9 will essentially have greater power and torque across the entire rev range than the R6 and other 600s except peak power, but perhaps with a change in gearing you could recreate the top speed and feeling, but for your purposes, the R9 should be enough. You can get seat/handlebar mods to compensate for the sitting position discomfort. Edit: JK i thought that was a Gsxr600 in the numbnail mb. 😂 Take the Gsxr but race with caution. Happy ridin!
I live in cali, i own a 2016 MV Agusta F4 (Pearl White) bought 4 years ago with 1,600 miles & now has over 53k miles it beyond reliable. Cause i take care of it. MV Agusta of Los Angeles has a demo bike you can ride (Black Model) & i made a video on that bike, but i highly reccomend going there to check MV. Its the first flagship MV Agusta location in north america.
You could probably have the Husqvarna serviced at any KTM or GASGAS dealer as they are all basically the same bike with minor tweaks. Also the rebuild interval is like every 80-100 hours dependednt on riding style and usually only includes a top end rebuild so just a piston, rings, and wrist pin. You could buy an Enduro version of their dirtbikes which has the ability to be registered becaus it had lights, etc and then just swap out tires for street tires.
Can get either an excf or fe 450/500 comes street legal from factory. Maintenance is also way more manageable but the manufacturers set the intervals low for assurance
Was that fbc? You're literally in my old backyard, cool shit to see. There's a ton of fun back roads through hilly orchards southwest of Fallbrook off 15
You getting a dirt bike size super moto would be sick as. The fs 450s service intervals come from it being a converted motorcross bike, which is also why it isn’t built to be road legal. Most supermotos in its category are converted husky and Ktm enduro bikes, which also come in 500cc versions which are road legal. The 500s in particular are pretty vedded when it comes to reliability with them also being converted into lightweight adventure bikes, with them having better power and torque characteristics compared to 450s while being the same sized bike. These conversions are usually pretty simple with it consisting of swapping out the wheels and break rotors with extra modifications that can be made.
17:51 just get the Yamaha equivalent 450. They have multiple trims but one is the same deal, race motor basically. Except much more reliable even when you haven’t done the required maintenance. Plenty examples of ppl doing supermoto conversions of the WR450F or x or whatever is called and the benefit of that is you’ve got a basically completely custom super Moto build that you still spent less than the cost of that Husqvarna or Ducati likely have much better components although I haven’t explored the costs exactly in a few years, so don’t take my word, but I’m pretty sure that’s still the case.
Sorry for the dumb question is wearing a compression top how you stop your jacket becoming glued to your skin , and do they do a Batman suit version of compression tops I don’t have a build like yours
MV is owned by KTM. Though that’s changing now that KTM is going broke. I LOVE MV Agusta but I spoke with Ari Henning about them and he warned me to stay away unless I have money to burn. He loves them too but says if you want the triple then get a street or speed triple and if you want the inline 4 there’s many alternatives with much less concerning reliability records including the BMW’s. The s1000 is like a Honda compared to the MV
Cancel R9 buy V2, Cbr or gsxr. But if you have the money, MV's are a sweet ride and a piece of art, I had a F3 800 and just bought a Brutale 1000Rs and I don't regret anything.
Iron Pony in Columbus has 2 leftover Panagale V2 bikes with the 150HP motor. You could cut a few pounds off of it. I would cancel the 2025 V2 for the 2024 V2 and keep the R9.
i think the 25 v2 is going to be a better bike than the previous gen, yeah it makes less hp but gonna be a way better motor (less maintenance more torque)
Cbr if you put down real mileage the gearbox have problem if you want to fix the gearing you need take down the engine, gxsr way better, gxsr engine feel more like s1000
5:43 The Suzuki weights about 57 pounds less than the single R Honda and 27 pounds less than the fire blade believe it or not, at least according to the sources I’m seeing, can’t trust the internet these days. Dealerships spec sheets are somehow some of the worst offenders It’s kinda hard to believe what I just wrote on one hand but on the other Honda’s are notoriously heavier and I personally suspect some of that is just “quality” that Honda has refused to cut out at the cost of reliability and with no benefit other than weight. I could be very wrong though.
3:46 “besides just money” oh yes that Minor detail money because every college kid argues with their dad about funding their investment accounts vs $35k bike it’s just money anyway and we all have lots of it 😂
@wormiac I'm not comparing them and no...r6 has nothing down low and can only be fully used on track. R9 is more for the street / track capable than the r6 imo
13:43 do you not get that that exact argument works in reverse? You literally said they made the panigale motor/bike more like the cruiser… I even get the Panigale at that point? Get the bike who’s heart matches its identity not one trying to be two different things.
5:34 You’re slacking in the gym stick boy. With Deadpool behind you there making it clear what little twig arms and legs you have you need to hit the gym. Come back when you’ve got a bulging haunch in the top of your neck like old dude does there. That’s a muscle reserve that he can send to any area of his body instantly to increase the size of ANY part of his body (stop you freaks it’s weird your mind goes there, mind doesn’t). Including his boneless wing. Get on his level.
You only need to do race maintenance if you're racing youre not riding that bike to it's potential on the street so you could get away with longer intervals those high maintenance sheets are for the guys who rev the piss out of the bike while whipping it over a triple so don't worry you'll be OK😂
Those new GSXR's are ugly as heck man. Get the K5/K6. It has nearly the same peak max torque as your standard 2cyl naked but it comes with 4cyl and 180HP. If you want something truly special that's the bike to go. Everything else 4cyl behaves pretty much the same. High revving progressive torque. Or... the RRR... 299 in 4th gear... fuck that's kinda awesome ngl.
You’re thinking of technology and rider aids is flawed, you’re not matured by that thinking. I have the same opinion on being Bmw Good luck finding tires for that 16.5 inch wheel on the husky. I think you’re overthinking the service on the husky, you are correct tighter tolerances, it is a race bike. Change the oil often, clean out the air filter and check your tolerances on the valves. KTM just cut MV. I would cut my oil changes in half, 9000 is a long time. Thanks for your vid !
No matter much people try to defend the R9 and cp3 engine it will never satisfy like a 4 cylinder. The sound and performance are just not the same. I can understand keeping the r9 just for the content though

What is your view on "trikes"? As a geezer thinking of getting a motorcycle, I am thinking a trike might be best for me.
Have you considered a KTM 990RCR??
Ducati is making desmo450 dirtbike/supermoto , first it was a prototype of sort and i think releasing in late 2025 or 2026
