Born in Chicago, Illinois, Marc Spector is a Jewish-American rabbi's wayward son. As an adult, Spector had been a heavyweight boxer before becoming a U.S. Marine, afterward, he left the United States military to become a mercenary. He later becomes a strong and skilled combatant and befriends the French pilot Jean-Paul DuChamp, whom he affectionately calls "Frenchie". While working for the African mercenary Raoul Bushman in Egypt, the group stumbles upon an archaeological dig whose crew includes Dr. Peter Alraune and his daughter Marlene Alraune. The dig had uncovered an ancient temple where artifacts included a statue of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Intent on looting the dig, Bushman kills Dr. Alraune. In response to Alraune's murder, Spector challenges Bushman to personal combat and is defeated by Bushman and left to die in the sub-zero temperatures of the desert night.
The Egyptians who worship the ancient gods find Spector and carry him to their temple. Helpless before the statue of Khonshu, Spector's heart stops. Khonshu appears to him in a vision, offering Spector a second chance at life if he becomes the god's avatar on Earth. Spector awakens, wraps himself in the silver shroud that covers Khonshu's statue, and again confronts Bushman. He defeats Bushman and returns to America with Marlene, Frenchie, and the statue of Khonshu. Deciding to become a crimefighter, Spector creates a silver cloaked costume, based on the silver shroud, and becomes Moon Knight aka "The Fist of Khonshu".
After his return to the United States, Spector invests the money that he had accumulated as a mercenary and develops a small fortune. To distance himself from his mercenary past, he creates the identity of millionaire entrepreneur Steven Grant, using this identity to purchase a spacious estate. To remain in contact with the street and criminal element, he also creates the identity of taxicab driver Jake Lockley and has acquired civilian allies such as Bertrand Crawley and Gena Landers and her sons.
In the character's first appearance, the criminal organization the Committee supplies Marc Spector with the name Moon Knight, his costume and weapons (using silver) to hunt down Jack Russell. In Los Angeles, Moon Knight captures the Werewolf for the Committee, but then frees him and halts the Committee's plans, fighting Russell again.[16] He battles Conquer Lord, teams up with Spider-Man to fight Cyclone,[18] and fights Lupinar, and his brother Randall, the Hatchet-Man.
His origin of being "created by The Committee" is explained as a ruse set up by Frenchie so Marc can shut the Committee down.[21] He then encounters the Midnight Man and returns to Chicago to prevent the poisoning of its water supply by a group called the Werewolves, encounters Morpheus and teams with Daredevil to fight the Jester.[25] It is around this time that he first encounters Stained Glass Scarlet. Later, he battled the Werewolf once again, battled Bora, and met the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and Doctor Strange.

Sinister Collector thanks so much for checking out the review. Price with shipping has been the typical road block, but at this pace it will be cheaper to get the from over seas. Look at the Doomsday Maquette it’s $1200 dollars. All of my XM pieces have been less than that.

I thought I responded to you I’m sorry, this piece is selling between $1500 and $2000 , I love this I love Caleb‘s work but I wouldn’t pay that much for this, fortunately I was able to get it when it when was first announced and I got it at regular price.

Love my MoonKnight, just got it yesterday. My only complaint was that the peg wouldn’t fit in the hole, looks like it is too big. It finally fit after 30 minutes, I was very gentle, but heard some faint cracking , and some of the paint t chipped off. But the foot hides the paint chip. Should I ask for a replacement?
+swizard0922 wow that sounds intense. The peg should have slipped right in. A replacement would be the way to go, but that could be tricky. If you live in the regions where XM is licensed to sell marvel no problem but if you live in US like me it’s harder. Check our this support link from XM

Great review, but sorry no statue is a prefect 10 but each their own on that.The only knock i would give this piece is the downward pose as you would need to display it up high.Still a awesome piece !
Tonytiger thanks so much for checking out the video. I can see why you would say that about statues being a ten. Art is so subjective, beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder....You also make an excellent point. One I should have pointed out. I have the ability to display him above my head Level and he looks great. However at eye level he is not as impressive. The statue looses some of it's incredible presence. I did not realize that until I displayed him. I love comments that are genuine and authentic, thanks again...

M.A.C M.A.C looks like The after market is pretty high $1500 to over $2k I love this piece but I honestly wouldn’t pay that for it.
