S in HSRA stood for 'Socialist', which was added on the advice of Bhagat Singh. 3. No doubt Gandhi ji and Bhagat Singh had ideological differences but they were not adversaries. In fact Bhagat Singh took part in non cooperation movement launched by Gandhi ji. 4. Saunders was DSP and Jai Gopal later became approver in Lahore conspiracy case trial against Bhagat Singh and his comrades. 4. Murder of Saunders was in consonance with HSRA's decision to resort to killings only if it was needed to boost the moral of freedom struggle. Earlier, HRA people used to kill approvers or traitors, which Bhagat Singh believed was wrong and counter productive. 6. In the articles written in his last days, Bhagat Singh underlined the importance of mass movement and organisation in the fight against colonial rule and socio-political transformation. 7. Though, Gandhi ji raised the issue of clemency for Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev however, his did not make it a precondition for roundtable talk with British. As I have learned:- Bhagat Singh did not actually go to Jallianwala Bagh. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre occurred on April 13, 1919, when British troops, led by General Dyer, opened fire on a large crowd of Indian civilians in Amritsar, Punjab, who had gathered to protest against repressive colonial laws. At that time, Bhagat Singh was only 12 years old and not involved in the freedom struggle to the extent that he would later be. However, the Jallianwala Bagh massacre had a profound impact on Bhagat Singh and many other young Indians, shaping their views on British colonial rule and motivating their later involvement in the independence movement. The brutality of the massacre influenced Singh’s revolutionary ideas and commitment to fighting against colonial oppression.
Though, Bhagat Singh was not present in the Bagh or even in Amritsar on the day of massacre however, he went there immediately thereafter with her elder sister and came back with blood soaked earth in a bottle and a resolve to fight against the British rule.
