My brother you are extremely very correct. I have done poultry, fishery and snailry. You can say that snail farming is relatively or comparatively easier than poultry and fish farming
@@GozySnailFarm I'm in Ghana, I started watching you and few others on snail farming and I became interested that's this year january. I constructed just a wooded box size compared to one concrete pen together with just 15 A.A point of lay. It cost me 1,000 cedis equivalent to 66,000 naira. With your teachings and inspirations I now have 472 one and half month old baby snails and also have some eggs incubated. Looking forward to expand my pen. Thanks very much for your good work 👏 God bless you.🙏

The capital is not low likewise the meaitainance is not easy . I started last year May and I lost 95% of my stock. Thank you for imparting and encouraging us the up coming one thank you Sir
❤️ I agree, it not that easy as they claimed. Honestly, i started with low capital one month now. I am waiting for the snails to lay eggs n it is delaying. Giving me sleepless nights. Capital has always been an issue. Waking up to chang their feed n clean the pen is indeed a challenge.
One month is a long time for them to start laying if indeed you started with point of lay. But the truth remains that snail farming is not as easy as many present it to be.
Truly speaking, am yet to venture in snail farming but building the pen is my worry now and the nature of my job too unless I employ a keeper to be feeding and taking care of them, Pls advice me. Thanks
If you aren't starting in large quantity, then you can be managing it yourself but it will also be demanding on you based on the nature of job you do as well but if you can manage both very well, then do so if you aren't starting in large quantity but if you are starting in large quantity, please employe someone to be assisting you on it.
Thank you for this video again my brother. I just got the channel today and I'm already addicted to it. Please my question: How often do I clean and clear the snails poops in the pen? And am I going to remove all the snails and drops them in bowl of water and wash the pens and after put them back? Do snails need to be bathed regularly? Your immediate response will be highly appreciated!
Thanks for watching. For your questions, 1. I clean my snail poopo on a daily basis or a worst case scenario any day I wasn't able to do so, I don't fail doing it the next day. 2. You don't need to remove all the snails except on the day you are doing an intensive clean up. Just shift the snail to one corner and do you cleaning. 3. Snails don't need to be bath regularly, it can be done once in a while, which is what I called the calcium bath. I hope this helps.
You can get a good breeding stocks from snail farmers but if you will prefer us to supply to you, then that's fine if the specie you want is what we have. Kindly reach out to us using our contact details in the description of this video for further discussion.
I appreciate your opinion and honesty Gozy But this narrative that people who own and manage their snail greenhouses are lazy people is wrong and offensive. People have a choice what direction they want to take and they should be free to take it without being labelled lazy. Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages and discerning people should look at them critically and make a decision free of judgement by people. Its unprofessional to label people that way. Some investors value scalability over accountability. Vice versa. All we can do as snail farmers is present the facts and let people make a choice I think most new snail farmers wont be struggling as much if we are honest with them from the get go about the realities of snail farming. Nice content tho.
Thank you so much for your correction and I sincerely apologise for the use of such words. honestly what I actually meant is that the intensive system is more labour-intensive than the greenhouse not really that people who own greenhouse system are Lazy people. If you have been following me for a while, you should have noticed that I don't condemn any of the housing system, I only try as much as possible to let people understand what both housing system entails and then guide them to make the right decision and choice. Nevertheless, apologies for using such words in trying to pass across my point, I take full responsibility of that and I don't mean to insult anyone. Once again so sorry.....
