This was a hard and uncomfortable video to watch knowing I'm a father of children outside of marriage and don't have relationships with all of them. I'm a pastors son who has walked away from the church over and over. Recently rededicated and 36yrs old. I feel like every day is a battle in itself and I want to serve God and my community in the church but feel overwhelmed by the weight of being a man every day having to be responsible for so much. This video opened my eyes and I appreciate you for this random video suggestion now subscribed

I'm 23, still in college taking 5 classes, working 2 jobs, no father, no siblings, mother is hours away. Been practicing abstinence for a couple years now and I'm just waiting on the right girl to come along that I can make my wife. When it's just you, it can be so easy to slip up and play the victim card that the world is just so tough. I found Jesus and he is guiding me. He's changed my life dramatically even in the past year. You don't need a dad to become a man (I sure as hell didn't), but Lord do we need more father figures. We need role models. We need more preachers talking about these issues and people going out of their way to make change. Believe me, if you're a man and you're struggling right now, I know you can make it because I am making it right now, but not without the help of the Lord.

If you’re a man, the voice inside your head telling you what to do or not do… it’s always your father’s voice. I’m sorry you didn’t get to experience having a father, but just keep in mind that if you have boys of your own… your voice will replay in their heads for decades. So just be careful how you live and what you say.

The most negative thing I have found about him is that he is actually speaking the truth of God and you will find some hatred from Evangelicals and some from a Church he was the leader of some years ago. It’s one thing to say ‘over mothered’ ‘under fathered’ -how many men actually ever do fathering in or out of wedlock… it’s usually the mother doing the hard work.. that’s why so many mothers choose to do it alone because the child’s biological father hasn’t grown up himself and it’s easier for him to just go do his own thing when he wants - this has been a historical fact.. drinking the little money he makes away, or gambling and women.. domestic violence,,while the mother scrimps and scrapes .. be real

To focus on the Kingdom above IS to focus on rebuilding society. Heaven is not a place we go, it is a realm that is slowly being overlaid on top of our own.
I realize this may be too harsh concerning your comment, but remember, those whose concern is what is on the other side of eternity do not worship Jesus, they worship death. Those who worship Jesus are primarily concerned with their homes being outposts of Christ's Kingdom, and they wage war by restoring the Earth and its inhabitants.

Let me interject right there- while I agree that boys (&girls) need to be taught how to express and release negative feelings, it needs to be done appropriately with professional advice on how to do it. Aggressive little boys at school left with unchecked aggression will hit & fight & possibly become a bully if they keep being allowed to take out their aggression on other kids. Also, it’s even worse when the boys are hitting & putting their hands on the little girls. Boys need to be taught that “boys do not hit girls”. That’s where teaching the respect of women comes in, not submission to women, but to respect them. So NO, little boys taking out their aggression on other students just turns them into a mean bully. It teaches that to manage your aggression, you hurt & violate someone else. So in essence produces a physically violent adult. Not cool.

@Jesus_Christ_is_God The Bible gives no authority to any man-made objects for veneration. Including rosary 📿. It's a man-made tradition. Christ even scolded the Pharisees and Scribes for their holding to man-made traditions over God's standards at Matt 15:16. _"So you have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition."_

    • @ian_ford
      @ian_ford Год назад

@eriknorman7409 We need to do more than just "accept" Jesus as Lord and Savior. That's the first of many steps. The Bible says _"faith without works is dead."_ Belief, with no works according to God's standards in the Bible, are as good as a person with no faith at all. (James 2:17,26). Christ even warned us at Matt 7:21, _"Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of the heavens."_ And Jesus punctuated if we are not following his commands as stated in the Bible, he will tell us (:23) _"I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’"_
And he can see everything we are doing, saying and thinking. We will have no rock to hide under if we've been leading a life not according to God,'s Biblical standards. (Matt 13:42)
And Christians are no longer under the Mosaic Law Covenant (10 Commandments) of the Hebrew Scriptures. That covenant ended the moment Christ died 1,990 years ago. And Christians entered a new Covenant through Christ; exemplified by the partition between the Holy and Most Holy in the tabernacle being torn in 2. A symbolic gesture by God that meant no longer did the priests have to pray and offer burnt animal sacrifices on our behalf for our sins, as what was customary under the Mosaic Law. It's why we can pray, anywhere, to God through his son, Jesus. @birdbizzle3678 I've been dealing with the opposite end of this spectrum - the last two guys I dated were raised to hate women, and it was very detrimental to the relationships and to myself. Almost doomed them from the start. But I learned a valuable lesson from it - next time a guy tells me their dad hated women, and that they hate their mom, I'm going to run instead of thinking ill be the one woman who changes their mind. I keep praying for them though 🙏

I clean houses now, and it's a perfect fit for me. It's hard work, but I don't have to work in an office with a bunch of toxic backstabbers. I like good honest work with no office politics and I can work alone. I use that cleaning time to listen to audiobooks and my affirmations. It's not full-time, but I have a side gig that I've been building. I'm not a man though, so... But if a woman like me can find that in her life, then any man can.

For many years my marriage was held together by the grace of God and a thread until my husband stood up as a man, owned his faults and then owned his place as leader of our household, which sounds antiquated, but it is the truth. My husband didn’t have a strong father figure to look to, but he rejected the fear and insecurities of his past and embraced the strength of God and forged himself into the man he wanted to be, into the father he wanted to have, and into the husband I needed. Jordan Peterson’s words to the effect of… if you think a strong man is dangerous, wait until you see the destruction a weak man can cause. That concept should strike fear into all our hearts and remind us that raising strong boys who grow into strong men is the only way forward for us. Excellent segment. Thank you.

One of the biggest lies depression tells you is to romanticize your sadness . You have to one day decide you are going to have the courage to abandon those sad thoughts that linger in your head and say to yourself “I’m not going to stay stuck in the past anymore and move forward, I’m not ok with settling with how I feel right now “.
There are books about how to change your brains habits . I think it’s something like 45 days of new habits will reprogram your brain .
Bad habits, even sadness, is like an addiction .You know it’s wrong but can’t help but continue the same way . The way you treat addiction Is you stop long enough until the behavior has less of a hold on you .

For anyone that has never had a job yet, and struggling with social issues, a good way, to get over that is to volunteer. For most social issues, you can overcome with the right type of over exposure. but volunteering is the BEST because they aren't paying you to be there, and they are just happy to have extra hands to help. So they will be way more gracious as you learn a good work ethic and how things flow in work situations.
PLUS you can put volunteer history when you do wind up filling out job applications. and you will then know people you can list as references.
Great places to volunteer is of course church. but also the animal shelter, homeless shelters, food distribution outreaches. Meals on wheels NEEDS volunteers, The library, there are lots of places you can volunteer, and if you wanted to be ambitious about it. you could start your own volunteer service at your church helping elderly people care for their lawns or go shopping. Dog waking etc.

You got this understand whatever God has given you to on your path you can handle. I’ve been where you are at but once I took responsibility I turned my life around now I still have struggles but it’s because of my disobedience and straying away… God want his children to succeed but you must trust him. He knows best always
