Love this author’s ability to delve into dark situations and subjects that many will not even allude to. Her ideas are penned with the utmost respect for her characters, written with class. Plus, this “world” is wonderfully imaginative and fun, yet deliciously dark! I knew I was hooked when I found myself laughing out loud , while at other times -tearin up, grieving right along with my favorite hero/heroine. These are not “sparkly Vampire/ giggly Demon tales, not one bit …totally immersive, a wild ride, and My new favorites!

Wow what a rollercoaster. I have just finished all four books and I have to give it 5 stars and would definitely recommend this sarga. At first I wasn't sure I could listen to the narrator but they are truly brilliant she really drew me in and the further I went down the rabbit hole I really enjoyed how they grew into the characters and gave them life. The story line/lines are brilliant and compelling and had me laughing out loud pretty much the whole way through. All four books have been written really well. It's hard for me to get sucked in the way I did, I literally couldn't do anything else but listen to these books. The spicy stuff has been beeped out but its not so bad because it's not overly spicy.

For a book about vampires, this is really good, I'm impressed! I like the exploration of truly terrifying concepts like the fae mind control, makes for quite a compelling POV (pun intended). And the narrator is awesome, the more I listen the more I appreciate how much emotion and variety she's able to put into it (even nailed the russian accent, blyat!). Screw AI narration. Not at the end yet but I'm already looking forward to binging the rest of the series (actually found the spinoff first but seeing there was a lot of missing context, I decided to check the main series first and I'm glad I did)!
Why do people talk so poorly about the narrator. Why does everyone do that? Especially when the book is free. FFS people are rude. Not only is it insulting to the Narrator who read the story, but it's an insult to the author, too. They picked the narrator as they feel they match the persona of the main character. If you don't like the way someone reads the book for you, then read the book yourself. Otherwise stop complaining about a person doing their job. If you people keep complaining about the human narrator on a free book , the authors will switch to AI and no one likes an artifical voice. Sheesh, if you dont like it keep it to your self and go read the book. Sorry to complain, but it ridiculous. She did a good job. You're all just being rude. Also, if you think you can do better.

Okay, I am really enjoying the story and the narrator does a really good job with a lot of the voices but I laugh every time she does Jace because she sounds like a character on Rugrats, it's kind of hilarious (if that would be off putting to any listeners, the kid isn't in the book all that much, it doesn't take you out of the story or anything, it's just funny to me)

She did a phenomenal job on voicing all the characters.... I just think she isn't around 14 year olds so was uneducated on how 14 year olds act. I noticed her character of the main woman in the story also slips into that same childlike behaviour... So let's just assume it's a learned behaviour and the 14 yr old speaks to his mother that way knowing it resonates with her. 😂. Thank you kindly to the author and the narrator for the free upload. I truly appreciate the company of having an audiobook read to me while I'm doing chores and various other things 😁. Best regards 🎉
@teripharaoh8838 I may be biased as a former narrator. She was fantastic. Her immersion was spectacular. Also, its not the narrators job to replicate real-life voices, only for the listeners to recognize the different characters speaking voices. Also, its considered rude to critique a book you are getting to free. 😊
I honestly believe using years to measure age or maturity is 1 of the worst things we can do 4 kids, not every 14 yo is at what some believe is a 14 yo level. I really enjoyed the book regardless of 1 criticism.

The voice of the Child is confusing and doesn't suit hus age. Boys of 14 are at the beginning of puberty, their voice gets deeper, they become heavy, don't want to get up in the morning, they don't want to listen to the parents antmore and start to get independent..they are quite big already on the first steps of discovering adulthood. You make the voice sound like a very young Child of 4 years old.

Good story w/excellent narrator. I just don’t like audio books. I need to keep my hands busy. I enjoy the weight of a book, page turning, skimming ahead, if wanted. Yes, bad me, I like reading the last page or two. I’ve vowed,once again, not to start the book two of a series.
