"I'm walking out till I lock the door" is like she's like "f*ck this, I'm leaving", and then as she's about to walk out, she changes her mind, locks the door and stays... I didn't catch that line till you mentioned something about it. Yeah the car and background is just chaos like the relationship, and she knows she should be running for the hills, but keeps getting dragged back, can't escape, etc. hence the treadmill constantly pulling her backwards.
