Oh my god, Carrie, I've never heard anyone talk about that hollow feeling from watching only comedy. I thought I was the only one! Maybe it's because comedy tends to make it more difficult to be invested in the story, and therefore you feel less emotionally satisfied by the end, even if you've had a good laugh. Also, I'd just like to state that Newsies is one of the best musicals of all time. And I'd like to recommend watching Wind in the Willows and Peter Pan on BroadwayHD (my sister and I watched both of them together and they are SO GOOD).
Same! Also the good place. Having stakes and characters you're invested in make the comedy so much better I reckon. Like the comedy makes the drama hit harder, and the drama makes the comedy funnier. They lift each other up!
I grew up in Orlando and can confirm there is loads of mini golf. Particularly on I drive where all the gross tourist traps are. I had two pirates mini golf adventure birthdays as a kid.
“Putt putt” 🤣 I can also confirm there are loads of putt putt places near the hotels and tourist traps, that are close to Disney and Universal. My friends and I went to one with Live Alligators. I noped out of holding one, when the guy said they could sense people’s pulses.
I'm so happy to hear of someone else who loved Anastasia as a kid! I watched it whenever I could because it's great. Anastasia, Hunchback and Treasure Planet were my absolute favourites! I've been quietly loving the Good morning/evenings for a few months, thank you for doing these.
Ah next to normal is AMAZING!!! Our local theater did it a few years ago and my friend and I went. It was awesome and maybe a 250 person theater which made the story so much more compelling! The actors were right in your face which was so unique! When it ended (turns out we were sitting next to the director the whole time!) we left absolutely sobbing and could barely get to the car 😂
I think I Dreamed A Dream is probably top five of all musical theater songs, at least in terms of recognition! That has to be an immense pressure to carry that song every night.
Mmmh, Jamie and Cathy...... The last 5 years....... only two actors needed...... Act 1: Good morning Act 2: Good evening I see some possibilities, just saying 🤠
Me too. My nearest city is Sheffield but if something doesn't come to Sheffield, then I tend to go to Nottingham so I still get that happy proud feeling.
I would love to see you two as Jenna and Dr Pomatter - it would be amazing! I've recently become obsessed with Waitress and heard your cover of You Matter to Me and so absolutely yes. My favourite role I've seen Carrie in is either Fantine in Les Mis or Beth in War of the Worlds. Fantine is just so magical and such a difficult role but I only went to see WOTW because of Carrie and now I am so in love with it and I love Parson Nathaniel and Beth. It's also an incredible song. I've never seen Newsies and it's never been something that has really appealed to me either. I don't know why, I've just never really been like 'ooh, I should watch that.' I once gave someone 45 minutes notice for a show. I was sent home from work because I was ill but I was being super stubborn and was like 'it's just a cold, I'll have a nap, eat some food and I'll be fine' but then I started throwing up as I was getting my makeup on for the show and there was no way I could perform. I was about to set off up to the theatre as we had to be up there about an hour before but had to text the director and tell her I couldn't do the show and she had to step in at the last minute for me. I feel awkward asking for pictures just because I'm quite shy but I try not to make it awkward because I don't want you to feel awkward. My favourite UK city is Edinburgh but I'm from Sheffield so I felt really happy when you said you liked Sheffield. Also if a show doesn't come to Sheffield, I either go to Nottingham or Hull so I got really happy when you said Nottingham was your favourite.
you two would be perfect for the maitlands if it ever comes to the west. I would defiantly get tickets because i already want to see beetlejuice but if you where in it... It would be amazing
i love that they answered my question first haha, i love all the musical theatre couples you said and i always think maybe anya and dmitry from anastasia is also one you two would be amazing in xx
It is called putt-putt! There’s a chain of mini golf places called Putt-Putt Fun Centers that started in North Carolina and those are the ones I mostly went to when I was a kid. So I almost always say, “Let’s go putt-putt!” rather than calling it minigolf 😁
Former Disney CM here! There is definitely mini golf/putt putt 😂 in the Orlando area! That chain called Pirate’s Cove has a ton of locations near Disney with big pirate statues and ships and treasure chests and all that fun stuff.
The Into the Woods Regents Park Production is on Broadway HD along with the Original Broadway production. The Regents Park production has Jenna Russel as the Bakers Wife.
Putt putt can be found at almost any tourist destination in the US (so definitely Orlando 😉) and then just randomly sprinkled throughout random towns across the country
Mini golf/putt putt is a thing in any mildly touristy area. Especially you get the combo places with putt putt and bumper boats and go carts and an arcade. If not in Orlando proper I bet Kissimmee has one or two.
Yes! I do amateur theatre and although there isn't as much pressure to get everything right, you still want to do your best and so put all your energy into it and try really really hard. Don't get me wrong, I love it and it is fun but people associate fun with it being easy and it isn't. I'm exhausted at the end of the show and don't even ask me about after the week is over because I nearly always fall ill because of how exhausted my body is.
Into The Woods is on Digital Theatre not BroadwayHD. I also absolutely loved that production of Merrily. First time I'd ever seen it and fell in love with it.
I have seen the proshot of Into the Woods and it was good, I would recommend it. I don't know where it's available, but if you can find it, you should definitely watch it.
putt putt ... haha :p Oli, you say that in such a funny way. :p But yeah there is a lot of like mini golf things in Orlando when you think of it... hah. weird.
Into the woods is hands down my favorite musical in life. Part of the reason for this is that I watched the original cast recording on stage growing up. I cry every time. I'm still mad about the stunt cast of Vanessa Williams in the revival and Meryl Streep in the movie. They can't hold a candle to Bernadette. But if you can, try to find the original cast on Broadway to watch! So good!!
I'm not 100% sure but I think it's called put-put (or mini-putt) because out of all the golf clubs the one you typically use on those courses is a putter.
Did you not wear makeup in Mormon? Or was it already done like your hair? Just intrigued that it wasn’t mentioned in the 7 minute story! Also, yay Edinburgh! 🏴
Into the woods with its original cast is actually on RUclips and professionally filmed as well (so no bootleg). It's so good. ruclips.net/video/kqCsQCsinK4/видео.html
Regent’s Park ITW is on Digital Theatre + !! Along with soo many Shakespeare Plays ♥️ ps PLEASE can someone get JRB to commission carrie and oli to do a lockdown version of the last five years 🙏
You guys call mini golf/putt putt Crazy Golf?! I mean the mini golf courses at Disney are definitely crazier than most putt putt courses, so I guess that's fair. That's just a really cute way to say it
The way they are laughing at paw and weace is the cutest thing ever😭😭
we love Oli casually slipping into Mormon mode
Carrie's quizzes always sound like so much fun, she's had some really great ideas.
I started singing "Orlandooo" at the same time as Oli haha.
Anastasia is on the ticket sites already with dates and running time TBC!!! ITS HAPPENING CARRIE!!!!
Wait no way!!?? I'm going to have to research this now
Am I meant to be doing my science lesson. Yes. Am I sat with my toast and a coffee watching this video instead. Yes. Yes I am
Relatable, I'm meant to be doing my biology test right now.
sameee omg 🤣
Literally my daily struggle to get my work done before watching this
Peridot xxx
Oh my... you two in Beetlejuice the Musical!! Yes please ❤️
Oh my god, Carrie, I've never heard anyone talk about that hollow feeling from watching only comedy. I thought I was the only one! I totally agree with enjoying a mix of comedy and drama, I think that's why Brookly 99 is one of my favourite shows
Same! Also the good place. Having stakes and characters you're invested in make the comedy so much better I reckon. Like the comedy makes the drama hit harder, and the drama makes the comedy funnier. They lift each other up!
@@TheSolitaryGrape I adore the Good place! Everytime I think about the last episode I start crying 🙈
I would LOVE to see you guys as the Maitlands

Omg yessss I love next to normal!
I’d love to see your review of Newsies live recording on Disney plus when you get to watch it 🙂
Yes Please!
omg yes!!!

always look forward to these videos, they've become a part of my daily routine :)

Just watched Newsies: The Musical last night! Had a proper Jeremy Jordan stan fest afterwards 🤣😍
I mean you can't not! The man is a dream!
Thank you for making me smile during these difficult times. I really truly appreciate the daily sit down videos 💖💖💖
Ollie likes Spring Awakening AND Next To Normal!! He has such good taste!!
Mmmh, Jamie and Cathy......
The last 5 years.......
only two actors needed......
Act 1: Good morning
Act 2: Good evening
I see some possibilities, just saying 🤠
i would properly pay good money to watch this it’s not even funny yes please!
@@ellaaa23x honestly same!
Putt putt is tiny golf or miniature golf. Very big in the states especially on vacations 😊
love that carries said she loved Nottingham, that's where i am from that made me so happy xxx
Me too. My nearest city is Sheffield but if something doesn't come to Sheffield, then I tend to go to Nottingham so I still get that happy proud feeling.
Mackenzie May Barraclough big up Notts !!! Aha xx
Love this vlogs you and Carrie are so funny ps Be safe x 😘🤣🤣🦋🌈
I love hearing about all your creative quiz themes!

These videos are the best, my go to series of episodes to watch when I’m feeling down, YOU ARE AMAZING !!!!!
Such lovely people! 🥺
you two would be perfect for the maitlands if it ever comes to the west. I would defiantly get tickets because i already want to see beetlejuice but if you where in it... It would be amazing
There is mini golf and regular golf in the US. We do not call it putt putt normally lol.
I always break out into the Orlando solo in two by two whenever someone mentions Orlando 😂
Can I stop doing chemistry for this.... yes, yes I can
i love that they answered my question first haha, i love all the musical theatre couples you said and i always think maybe anya and dmitry from anastasia is also one you two would be amazing in xx

i don’t think a lot of people get how draining and hard theatre is haha. it seems like a lot of people just think it’s for fun. good morning:))))

We call it mini golf mostly (in the northeast, at least) but yes, putt-putt is a thing here!
There were 6 points up for grabs 😂
So cool that you love Nottingham, I'm from there and saw you in Addams there
First. You 2 r amazing
fleabag is like a perfect mix i love that show so much
Putt putt / mini golf/ crazy golf (all the same thing) are very popular all over Florida!
Also I’m from Florida and putt putt is really big in all the tourist areas of Florida lol.
my favourite sondheim show is defo into the woods mainly cause i was in it but cause i love fairy tales but into the woods is such a fun take on it x
Into The Woods is on Digital Theatre not BroadwayHD. I also absolutely loved that production of Merrily. First time I'd ever seen it and fell in love with it.
The Regent Park Into the Woods is available on Digital Theatre :)
So now I think we need you two to do a cover of, Ready, Set, Not Yet...

Yes it is put-put. I had to look up crazy golf, but it appears to be the same thing.
It does get called putt putt golf or miniature golf lol that made me laugh and they have it all over the US.
There is a recorded version of into the woods with Bernadette Peters, it used to be on Netflix. It’s amazing
BIG UP NOTTINGHAM! (Even though I hate where I live😂)
Nottingham not that bad 😂
The frogs is my fav Sondheim show because I’m a Greek mythology nerd and it also stared Nathan Lane and Roger Bart.
The Regent’s Park Into the Woods gets added onto BroadwayHD this week I believe! It’s an incredible production
I can think of four put put golf locations in Orlando off the top of my head, and I’m sure there are a lot more.
from orlando here!! no, there isn’t like any putt putt golf here, at least from what i’ve seen from 14 years of living here 😂
Anyone else singing "Dance Again" from AVPM when Oliver said how nice it was to be in CATS and be able to dance for the first time in ages :p
Yes! So glad you commented this! It’s stuck in my head now 😂
Omg Next To Normal coming here would be the actual dream, it's beyond incredible 😍 but also wouldn't Oliver make an incredibly Dmitry in Anastasia?
You'd be so fun as the Maitlands!!! #beetlejuice
put put golfing is a Thing in all of florida, trust me i lived there
It's a thing in all of The U. S.
Assassins is my favourite Sonheim musical :)
A video of the original cast of Into the Woods is on youtube! The whole show!
Wow I didn't think you were that tall Oliver

...I don't think minigolf is "officially" called putt-putt anywhere (at least not in my experience), but most people will know what you mean.
😀
what musical are jamie and kathy from?
The Last 5 Years
BOOK RECOMMENDATION FOR CARRIE!
Get A Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
😆😆😆
She said B word 3 times!!!
There's a video of the version of Into the Woods with Bernadette Peters on youtube: ruclips.net/video/MP8fw_LhOOg/видео.html
It’s called “miniature golf” there is a company called “Putt putt” Oliver was partially correct! Do you call it Crazy golf!
I’ve always called it all Put put. Interesting how there are so many names!
Kathleen Crozier I know. I wonder if it is called “Crazy golf” in the UK?
